Sarah is the best eyebrow artist !! I first had my eyebrows laminated, tinted and shaped by her last year while visiting relatives in the area. I've been to 3 different people in Alexandria, VA where I live and nobody has been able to do my eyebrows as good as Sarah. I am happy to be back and have them done by her again! This business wouldn't consider me their target customer, but they helped me nevertheless. I use this app that sends me in stores to scan products for pay. I tend to use this app at places I shop at. Today I didn't have enough points and I wanted to redeem, so after exhausting the scanning opportunities at the other places, I came here. The employee did not kick me out, but asked "are you finding what you need?". She helped me. Because of this courtesy, I want to tell my lady friends to shop here. I'll start off by saying that the staff was friendly and helpful. My hair cut took about an hour and matched what I asked for and was done by a young stylist. But be sure to ask about everything they do while they are cutting your hair. The most expensive cut on their website is listed as $75, but my bill came out to a little over $140. I was not asked at any point for any additional service or product. Customer service to this point has given me very scripted responses to my questions as to why there is such a drastic difference between the price. I shopped at this location on Wednesday, and had a pretty great experience. They stopped carrying a couple of make-up brands that I like, but they have new ones for me to try instead. I could easily find someone to ask for help finding something I was looking for. I do wish all of their items were marked with prices. I found an OPI nail color I really liked, but when I went to find out the price at check out, it was $13, more than I was willing to spend. If the price had been marked at the display, I wouldn't have held onto it at all. I picked up a couple of items in the "holiday clearance" rack in the front of the store, that turned out not to be on sale. One a customer had just put down in the wrong place, so that I understand. The other was clearly a seasonal product that just wasn't on sale. Some restocking was going on, so one aisle was blocked, but the women working offered to move if I needed anything. I like Ulta. I always go to this location because it's very close to my residence. I'm sad to say, but good customer service is hit or miss. They have a lot of sale associates on the floor, but they only stay towards the front of the store. It's very rare that a sales associate will ask me if I need assistance. I have to ask an associate for help, which is frustrating. Due to COVID-19 you can't sample any makeup and they taped all the testers. They have signs that tells you not to touch. read more

hands down the WORST customer service experience i've ever had. somehow managed to make it through the browsing process only being asked if i need help ONCE, then finally got to the register. i do not know the cashiers name, with her attitude i do not care to. i was asked SEVERAL TIMES for a phone number, email, any information before she scanned the TWO THINGS i was buying. and i don't mean, once or twice just to be sure, i mean SEVERAL TIMES that i said no, i'm not interested, and she KEPT PUSHING. "well it would make it really hard for you to return anything without a phone number." yep! that's how returns work! still no. she even tried to get my boyfriend to put his phone number in FOR ME. look, i understand these people have a quota to fill with accounts, but it should be as easy as asking maybe twice to confirm, and moving on. i should not need to argue with anyone over something as simple as MY PHONE NUMBER. if it is not required for a transaction, you're not getting it. this was my first visit to any ulta in nearly a decade and i won't be returning. read more

First off this store is extremely picked over. Then as you walk in there is a stone-faced security guard which is super awkward. I was looking to purchase some perfume. A dark hair female with bangs walked right passed me as if I didn't exist and walked right to the from to have a conversation with her coworkers. I do believe that it was race related. Guys, you can get everything you need grouped in one central location of just two or so short isles. No more running all over the store, or, bouncing from store to store. Gone are the days of searching the web for moisturizer. Gone, are the inconveniences of male grooming. Men, Ulta has it all for you. You got bags? They got cream (no more need for Preparation H). Is your face looking like the Marlboro Man's? They got moisturizer. You got crow's feet? They got cream. You need a good exfoliater? They got it. You need your favorite cologne? Unfortunately, I spent $145 + $235 and got a terrible job done. Awful!!! I can let this happen again to anyone. I am terrified with my first and second experience to achieve one look. I never want to go thru this again. Is an older lady who did my hair. She really messed up, stained, nothing done professional in this hair, did not look professional at all. It feel like was an amateur who got the hair for first time. The roots of the hair was not well done the highlights were stained with silver and blonde. She really made me too blonde. She mentioned have years of experience and she did not made this hair look like the picture I wanted. I am so sad and disappointed and seriously a money wasted. They will fix this because no one deserves such results. She overcharged me for Balayage, Highlight and Roots why did she balayage this hair again? It was only highlights needed. I ended up paying for things that was not suppose to be done. Now, I got home in tears in my eyes for this awful work and she needs to fix this or something in that salon with the high competence will. They tried to fix 3 days later and still not fixed they stained so much my hair that is spots and the transitions are still not corrected and the transition if not smooth as suppose to be. I spend 4 hrs in the salon afraid to lose my hair with so much process. I am so sad they ended up doing this and with no confidence made my hair super stained and left unsatisfied and spent over $200 doing this crazy result. read more

Not one to leave reviews but feel like my recent visit to Ulta lakeline was so unsatisfying. I am a loyal customer to Sephora but checked out Ulta for Anastasia's dip brow. The employee testing another products on my brows stated she didn't know how to apply dip brow because she didn't work with the product line... Really???? And didn't ask for help from A coworker and then insisted on giving me the product to test on myself AND handed me the most frayed eyebrow brush I've ever seen. Yikes!!!
