I can't recommend William enough! I came in after a complete DIY hair disaster at home, and he worked absolute magic. From the moment I walked in, he made me feel welcome and comfortable. His personality is one of the best parts of the experience--he's funny, genuine, and refreshingly honest. If you think his comments or sense of humor are too blunt, that's more of a personal problem, but I personally appreciated his honesty. William knows exactly what he's talking about, and I'd much rather have a stylist who tells me the truth than one who just says what I want to hear. If I could give no stars after my experience on 11/13/24 I would. I go in often and buy my Biolage shampoo/conditioner and Clinique products. While I'm in the store I go check the red tagged items that are discounted. Today I went to that area and looked at several items and found an amazing deal on a DryBar blow dryer with changeable brushes. It was normally a $349.99 product and I looked all over the box (that was dinged and dirty so I know it had been in the store awhile) and found a clearance sticker that had it marked down to $44.99. I was so excited because that's a phenomenal deal. I then went over to the Clinique area and picked out $40 worth of product and while there a male worker passed by me and noticed the blow dryer in my hands. He said it was great I was getting that because it's such a great deal and suggested I should get two, one as a gift. I told him he was right they it's a great deal to get it for under $50 but there aren't anymore back there. He was surprised by that because he put them there and there were four. I said they must of sold fast because they were discounted so much and he agreed. I headed to the check out and when she rang up the items it was over $300 for what I was getting. I told her that the price was off and the blow dryer set was on sale for 44.99 and when she argued I pointed out the sticker. She immediately accused that the sticker was switched and didn't belong on it. I told her they I found it that way. I didn't like the implication that she was making that I did it so I explained what the male worker told me. The worker next of the woman helping me told her after liking at the sticker to go ahead and honor it but she would need to get the override from the manager. The woman helping me took off with the item and was gone on the other side of the store for several minutes. I was looking around as I waited and noticed as the woman came back with it, she was fiddling with the sticker and looked like she was pressing something gown on it. She then tells me that it was actually 249.99 and that there is a 2 in front that I must have not seen. Let's be clear, I have a penchant for details and I know it clearly had 44.99 on it when I picked it up. Seems to me that the sticker was changed while she was away to make the price higher. Not sure why but I can speculate they it was either to get more money out of me or (and this is what I really think) she switched the sticker so that I wouldn't get it so she could let either herself or someone she knows get it once I was gone. This confirmed because she was like you don't want this now do you? I said no I don't want it for an extra $200!!!! Dollars than the tag that was originally there. She then asked if I wanted the Clinique products and said no I was so upset by what she did that I was leaving without buying anything. I refuse to give my money to a company that mistreats customers and cheats them out of a good deal. Such a horrible, disappointing experience. I won't be back to this store again because of this. Trust there are other stores that sell the same products and I will be going there from now. Also tried to contact corporate via email which wouldn't work and then text which they didn't respond to and chat where they said they were too busy and to try again later. Basically they don't care about their customers at all. read more

My rating is strictly based on the services I received from the Ulta Salon. Carlie is my girl, so she gets a 5 star! I've gone to her a few times now for my hair and she hasn't failed me yet. For when times I can't get to my person in the LA area, Carlie always saves the day! I usually book my appointments on the website, choose my services and then a few days from the appointment date, Carlie usually calls to confirm the appt over the phone. Most recently, I used Carlie for everyday make-up application. For those special events like weddings or special parties/events and you want to look a little done up, Ulta can provide a plethora of services to choose from. My only tip is to book ahead of time to get the stylist of your choice and time slot you want. read more

I find Master Colorist Claudia Sullivan to be both specially educated and talented in her field that I do not wish to see anyone else, under any circumstances. I've known her and been seeing her exclusively for years. She listens to the client and has a wonderful yet professional demeanor. She's not just an extraordinary colorist but her hair cutting skills are unmatched. Her attention to detail along with her master skills and her customer orientated approach is what keeps me coming back. She performed a balayage on my long hair and both my husband and myself were beyond pleased (he loves it!). The color is extraordinary and the cut perfection! You cannot believe how many perfect strangers have stopped to tell me how beautiful my hair looks. I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful woman. I consider myself to be very serious about my hair and she "gets it." Yesterday she dyed my roots, deep conditioned my hair and styled it. Again my husband said how beautiful my hair is and he's very picky to please. When I woke you today, the blowout was still entact with a little side fringe to frame my face. I woke up to my husband saying my hair looked gorgeous. This is priceless to me. She is priceless to me. The only concern I have is for the Ulta Salon wash sinks: the water is either extremely hot or extremely cold. The water cannot maintain a consistent temperature either way and that's a problem I feel the Management is either unaware or just doesn't care. In any case, it is incumbent upon them to remedy this immediately. I feel badly for both clients and stylists having to experience the extreme temps and their inconsistency in maintaining a basic temperature. I would urge the Ulta Salon Management to repair the consistency in water temperatures ASAP. It would be irresponsible not to do so. read more

Normally I just walk in get what I went there for and leave. Today though I had some questions about La Roche and Philosophy, with retinol and vit c. She answered them, and then I asked her for recommendations on finding something for my red blemishes. She helped me find something. There was a second girl that had came up and was putting in her two sense. Then she made a rude comment about "it's time to change my skin care routine" I'm sorry but don't just walk up, put in your 2 sense, and make a comment, without knowing what everything was talked before you got there. The products I use from La Roche DID NOT cause my redness and blemishes! I've had this situation all my life! I want to also mention that there are a lot of people who work there who are not friendly and are very snobby. I think it's time to try a different location.
