A deva cut is a way of cutting hair for people with naturally curly hair where it is cut dry so that the stylist can evaluate how the curls each lay against the other. The idea is it adds volume and shape and takes into account the uniqueness of how different hair curls. Shereen has become my go-to stylist! Her sense of color and cut is amazing. She really listens and asks follow ups to understand how you treat your hair and how much work you want to put into it. There is always a bit of a wait for an appointment, but that's because they are just that good! She was able to take my naturally dark brown hair, lighten it and add in some bright blue, which I have always wanted. My expectations were low because I know how hard lightening dark hair can be. She exceeded my expectations and was also super conscientious that we shouldn't over bleach it on the first time and fry my hair. Since COVID has started they have closed their waiting room. You check in by text, wait in your car and they text you when to come in. Enter, get some hand sanitizer and you are whisked off to hair paradise. The stylist's booth are adequately separated, everyone uses masks and seats and items are wiped down regularly to keep everything clean and healthy. The sinks for hair washing can't be separated but they do try to keep people from next to each other, but even if they couldn't there is a plastic partition between the seats. Highly Recommended!

I called several establishments a few weeks ago to schedule an appt for the Cezanne smoothing treatment, which is formaldehyde-free unlike the Brazilian treatment. The other establishments did not respond to online inquiries (a bad practice) while others had limited weekend booking availability. I was able to schedule an appointment here easily. I arrived to my scheduled appt a few minutes early and my stylist Sam was ready for me. She had Sandra wash my hair before cutting my hair then applying the treatment. The head massage while shampooing was very relaxing. Sandra was sweet and asked me several times while I was there if I wanted anything to drink. They offer complimentary coffee and snacks for patrons which is very unique and thoughtful. Sam was very personable and had a cheerful disposition. We chatted the whole time and she was delightful to talk to. We have a lot in common. That aside, she is skilled at what she does. My hair was sleek and smooth when she was done. They have regular size (not liter) hair care products available for purchase. Also, if you don't have cash to tip, they charge your desired tip amount to your receipt and give you cash in return to give to your stylist. They have thought of everything. I have found my new stylist! So I got my hair done by Teresa and a half ago and it looks great but…read moreit just wasn't me. I was happy with overall the job she did but the color was a little to light. But the overall job was solid. I shared that and she was like come back and I will fix it. So I made an appointment totally expecting to pay for it. She was like uhm the color is free. I was like "say what". She did a great job this is more me, and I really think I am done trying to put color in my hair. She was very happy I gave her the chance to fix it. That to me meant a lot. Most stylists get tuddy when you point out things. Not Teresa she was like ok let me fix it, and she did just that. This is for sure my new salon! She cut it even too, it's a little shorter than I expected. However it will grow back faster that way, plus it's even:) I plan on returning to her to keep my hair right and tight.
