I always love shopping here but some of the employees need to pay better attention to customers. I was with my mom and there were 4 girls behind the register one of them checked my mom out and I waited figuring she'd just get me to next not a huge deal. Instead she went back to talking to all the other employees ignoring the fact I needed to check out too and I had to ask to be checked out. Not great customer service. Other than that everything was great thought it was easy to find what we needed and the store is clean and organized. read more

I have been getting my haircut at Ulta for several years. My 1st experience was not good at all but followed by a few years of great professional haircuts. Then my stylists left and I chose a new stylists. at 1st I thought sure was good. After a few years I realized she was not an elite stylist, what I was paying for. She was only good at cutting hair not a stylist. I overpaid for a few years, till I decided enough is enough. Now I have a great stylist at a much better place. Not overpaying. read more

I needed to pick up a few things and was in a rush. I looked around the store but wasn't able to find what I was looking for, so I approached the nearest staff member and she nicely directed me to where I needed to go. I found what I needed and was on my way. While looking for my stuff, I noticed this Ulta offers haircurts, styling, coloring, as well as make up services, etc, and at pretty fair and competitive prices too. Would definitely be interested in getting a haircut here sometime. read more

The people at the cash register are incompetent. I had to double check the transaction on my phone's calculator. I was trying to pay partially on card the rest on credit. First she tried to give me change back before I had even used the card. Then the manager stepped in to try to help. Had to refund everything start a new transaction. She got the total wrong was seemingly confused by the math. I don't need to do your job for you. read more

It was a wonderful day to walk in to Ulta. I came in to find an item That was on clearance. Brooke quickly assisted me. Unfortunately the item was out of stock. Brooke and another sales associate quickly helped me to find something similar. Brooke also called another store it see if they had the item I was looking for. Made me so happy that you found it and its on hold for me. The manager Britney was very helpful and sweet as well as the other sales associates the store very clean. The product Displays were nice we set up. The only problem that I have is that the lighting in the aisles of make up in the register side of the store is very poor. It makes it hard to see the correct color of the product or to even use the testers. If you are a make up person like me You just find the lighted Mirrors on the other side of the store. I often had to grab my items in go over to the lighted mirrors on the other side. Unfortunately this is a corporate issue and I hope that it is addressed this soon. I recently decided to chop off 11 inches of my hair so it could be donated to Locks of Love. I do this about every two years (my hair grows fast), and I always go to Ulta. At Ulta they have a special program where if you are cutting your hair for donation, they'll wash, cut and blow out your hair for free- how nice! The girl who cut my hair, Courtney, was great. She was bubbly and easy to talk to. She provided great suggestions for my hair cut and did a wonderful job. She is someone I would go back to. My biggest issue with Ulta was the wait. My appointment was at 7 and I wasn't seen until 7:30, brutal wait. Otherwise Ulta is great for getting your hair cut or for shopping for any beauty need on the planet- they have everything. read more

Thank you Gabe for being patient with my coupons. Gabe was the cashier. He was patient, answered my questions and pleasant to deal with. Sales associates were very helpful with both the premium and drugstore brands. The manager is super nice and helpful. She helped me pick out the right Maybelline concealer. She also helped me find s comparable product because Ulta didn't carry the brand I was looking for. The store was well stocked even the products on sale were well stocked. There's a large parking lot shared with other stores in the strip mall. It was a pleasant experience! read more

I went in today to grab a sunscreen and try a new concealer. I asked one of the employees to help me find my shade as I have a hard time with that, and instead of helping me find my shade she brought me to a different concealer, and then decided to tell me that for a 20 year old, I have horrendous eye bags and discoloration. She pointed me to an eye cream instead of helping me with what I asked. I understand trying to make a sale, but that is absolutely not the way to do it. Super disappointed. read more

I don't know what happened to this Ulta location, it used to be so much better! Lately, every time I go in there, it is dirty. Makeup smeared on the displays, products opened, used, laying on the ground or sitting open in displays, products not stocked, completely empty displays, damaged products on shelves for weeks and weeks. I saw the same dented, used can of "Pssst" for wavy hair dry shampoo sitting on the same shelf for well over a month. Every time I would come in, it would be the only can there, sitting, waiting for the forever home that would never come. I stopped in yesterday to redeem some points and check out the display of Ulta brand makeup and my God, it was foul. Smashed blushes all over, eye shadow quads with the safety seals torn open, smudged all over, open lipsticks, just gross. I walked down to the NYX aisle only to see some angsty teenager sitting on the ground pulling lipsticks out, breaking the seal, trying them on and then tossing them on the ground. I had to leave. It was just too gross. I love Ulta as a whole, but I refuse to buy products from this location for fear that they have been used (which has happened before, sadly). I honestly hope and pray that the people who go in, try on unopened makeup, put it back, and leave all get a sever case of scorching, blistering mouth herpes. read more

I normally go to Ulta in other locations and have been enjoying the service. This location however has disappointed me. My mother and I were in the area and went in so I can introduce her to the make up products I've been using from Ulta, needless to say we came to spend money. The staff was condescending, quick to dismiss us and overall felt as if we were going into the usually ego-filled Mac store, which is one of the reasons I stopped using Mac. I recommend finding another location if you're looking for Ulta, I've been to a few in PA and Delaware and I was treated like a valued customer. read more

When it comes to makeup, I am a fish out of water, so I would have appreciated a much more thoughtful and personalized experience, hence the 3 stars. With my skin looking really blah after this long winter, I desperately needed new foundation and products to help me. When my skin really needs a glow, I go for tinted moisturizer, specifically Laura Mercier or Stila. Unfortunately, this Ulta does not carry either product, bummer! I did not see any Laura Mercier products although they had a big wall of Stila products. An employee helped me to find a different BB cream, from Smashbox. He did not really do a great job talking it up or exploring my options, and I felt like he was just going through the motions and did not really give a crap. I remembered that the Hello Flawless Oxygen Foundation by Benefit received good reviews, so a different employee helped me pick out one of those in my shade. She seemed a little nicer and more caring, but still not a very personalized experience. I also picked up a Mario Badescu product, make up sponges, and some Burts Bees chapstick. I had a 20% off coupon on one item, but unfortunately that did not apply to "prestige" brands, of which Benefit and Mario Badescu were a part of. Well, how was I supposed to know that?? It took a whopping $1.00 off of my chapstick, whoop-de-do. read more

Went in to try the Keratin treatment with Nicole. Nicole was very nice and attentive to what I wanted. In addition to the Keratin, she also took care of my roots that I still had despite having my color done earlier in the week elsewhere. Now my hair is smooth, soft, and with great color. I spent more money than I wanted to, but part of that is because I had my color done twice that week. I will definitely be going back to see Nicole again. read more

I have always loved Ulta. There's such a wide variety of products and it's pretty easy to navigate in there. The reason for my three star rating is customer service, not product. I was just in this location about a half hour ago. When I walked in, I expected to be greeted. That did not happen. I spent about 40 mins in the store, specifically right in the same 3 or 4 aisles right by the cash wrap. The closest an associate came to any form of interaction was staring over at me, locking eyes for a sec and then carrying on with what he was doing. That irritated me more than not being acknowledged at all. I'm not asking to be waited on hand and foot, just some awareness and engaging with a paying customer. read more

I frequent this location fairly often to stock up on products for my freelance kit like Dermablend, lashes, sponges and NYX pencils. I like to be left alone while shopping most of the time, which is just great, because the staff at this store are some of the most unhelpful S.O.B's I've ever met. I asked the one trans employee the one time if they carried false lashes and she just looks me dead in the eye and goes "Yeah." oh! no kidding? well, moving right alone then, might you tell me what isle they're in?! Ugh. terrible customer service. I also feel like they're not particularly trained in makeup artistry in any way. I will continue shopping there and fueling their paychecks however, because it is a convenient location close to other stores that I shop at. And of course, they do carry a decent amount of brands that I like for a decent price. read more

It's Ulta salon so there's no pretty deco or anything, but so far I'm pretty happy with what I got. I first went to this place for a simple trimming, was happy for the job done. It was time to get my hair cut again, so I went Ulta salon, gave permission to cut more than I did last time. And my hair turned out so much better than I expected! Got a lot of compliments. Both cut were done by Rosa so I recommend her, along with the salon itself. Since I don't dye my hair or perm that often, I can't tell for the coloring or other works but I see a lot of people getting their coloring or perm done, so I guess this place is doing a pretty good job. read more

This is my first Ulta experience and it is going to be my LAST Ulta experience. My friend and I decided to visit Ulta on March 28th around noon to shop for cosmetics, hair tools and perfume. We entered Ulta and no sales associated greeted us upon entering, that's usually my key to immediately turn around and exit the establishment. However, I was in an excellent mood that day so I didn't let that one punch in the throat bother me. We begin to browse the store very respectfully, as we passed a few Ulta sales associates here and there no one ever parted their lips to ask if we needed assistance or were we shopping for a special occasion etc... That was punch number two right in my right eye. As we looked around we saw other customers that entered the store after us being assisted happily. That was punch number 3 in my stomach, i have no clue why i remained in Ulta for that long to receive all of this assault. Now I was getting irritated... My friend and I both of various ethnic backgrounds clearly felt ignored & unwanted in the store. We continued to peruse the store and at this time we had about 5 items each in our hands, again as we passed the sales associates no one asked, can I assist you? Do you need a bag or basket? Can I suggest this new cosmetic item for you? Not one peep out of any of the Ulta sales associates. After still being ignored with merchandise in our hands, my friend and I put all of our items on a random shelf and exited the store. Once again, the 3 sales associates at the register with no customers at the time did not part their lips to say, thanks for coming, did you find everything alright, come again. No, not nothing. That was like throwing salt in our wounds. After this experience my friend and I were both schocked and pissed. We decided to stay inPhilly and shop for now on... Tax free shopping is so over rated... Lol I don't quit get it, I don't understand how sales associates can even have a snotty attitude when they are freaking SALES ASSOCIATES!! Come on now, your getting paid to serve who ever walks through that door, whether they are black, white, transgender, a double amputee, etc... If you have a certain bias toward people that are different than you, find another job. My friend and I didn't smell that day, we both took showers, combed our hair & brushed our teeth. We didn't have on our Sunday's best but we both had on knee length casual dresses appropriate for any environment. Oh boy Ulta, you have plenty of colors on your shelves and a plentiful array of fragrances stocked in your store, maybe you should make your sales team as colorful as your merchandise, if you know what I mean. To be fare, there was nothing wrong with my service what I asked for, I got, to a certain extent. I just don't ever want to feel like I've been taken advantage of. I went in for a classic blow dry which was quoted $37 online. Then when its done I get charged $57 because my hair is longer ((which I understand)) but one I wasn't told that previous to getting it done and two on my check out sheet it said because they used a curler or flat iron on my hair both of which never happened. I wasn't going to an event or a wedding or anything of any importance I just wanted to get a blow out. Just a shitty experience. To be fare Candace did asked me if I wanted to take the charge off at the checkout counter and of course I said no, slightly because I was embarrassed over 20 bucks. I went to Ulta Cherry Hill for some lip gloss and maybe get a new bronzer. After walking up and down the isles and being asked if I am doing ok a few times, I finally surrendered to David. I said I am looking for a new bronzer, I want a clean natural look. He was excellent. He introduced me to a few new products, showed me how to use them. He taught me a few tricks about how my bronzer and blush can be used on cheeks and eyes. He kept saying, I know you didn't come here for this, but I want to show you how this can help. He usually works at the Ulta in Deptford..... so next time I need some new products, I will be making the drive there to visit him. read more

I actually love shopping at Ulta in person. I've never had any issues with products or customer service. Why I'm leaving a mediocre review is their shipping practices. I purchased 2 items, specifically to receive the free gift that went with them. Not only were they shipped separately...the boxes were enormous!! It is very wasteful not only with the huge box, but also emissions for transporting to me. I will not order online again until their shipping practices change, which will equal them getting less money from me. Eyelash extensions...... don't. Ulta has a contract with a glue company and I'm starting to think it's called Elmers. The girl was really nice which is why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1. I get eyelash extensions all the time and had to go here for a last minute emergency but now I'm in an even bigger emergency... eyelash-less. She went really fast which made me a little skeptical from the start. I don't know where she learned or where that went wrong but she glued them to my actual lashes... biggest mistake. Anyone who has even so much as had this procedure done before knows that you glue to the skin in between the lashes to avoid lash-loss. Anyway, within a day or 2 the extensions were so tangled, upside down, twisted, and just plain old ridiculous looking, but bearable. But then after about a week they started to clump together so bad and formed this ball of glue/ gunk at the root of my real lashes to the point of pain with every blink. I tried every at home remedy to get them off safely but without fail it would take my lashes with them. So I stopped trying and am now waiting for them to come off naturally... if that will even happen. In the meantime I guess I'll just look like a scarecrow and try not to blink so much :) This review is really just to look out for anyone considering getting this procedure done here, I'm not speaking for anything else regarding this store/ salon! read more

I can pick up my Neutrogena hair mask and Its a 10 conditioner under the same roof. Score! Their new rewards program is pretty sweet so I may start buying my prestige items here too. review for brow bar only: was able to get my brows done without an appointment this past wednesday. i've been meaning to get them refreshed since i have been growing them out. michelle was my brow lady. she was very thorough and careful. she did a great job and even talked me into growing them out a bit more to get the definition i was looking for. awesome job cleaning around the brows. glad she took her time i did not feel rushed at all. probably was there for about 45 minutes or so just to get them done! i did not mind. other places rush you in and out. i even talked myself into a lip wax. thanks michelle! see ya in a month or so :) read more

I've never been to Ulta and was pleasantly surprised. They have EVERYTHING! Hair, perfume, make-up. You name it! I needed a new concealer and the associate working was so helpful (short red hair - wish I remembered her name). Anyway, super helpful. This specific Ulta was completely disorganized and their employees were extremely unhelpful. When I asked an employee for help to find a few products, she shrugged me off and told me they were out of stock without even looking for the products. I stopped by this Ulta last week at 8:40, twenty minutes before they closed for the night. I finally looking the purchase the Naked 2 palette. Unfortunately , they were sold out so the sales lady suggested I try a palette by another company that was cheaper. I wasn't sure if all of those colors would complement my complexion so I went with the Naked 3 palette. What was great is that they still were able to locate an Ulta for my home in Philly that had the Naked 2 palette and saved it for me under my name. They also had ULTA lipsticks buy 1, get 1 free which I always get when they have these sales. I love that fact that they still let me to wonder and treated me with great customer service despite the fact they were closing. read more

While browsing through Barnes and Noble last week, I got a sudden urge to get a kind of drastic haircut. My last haircut was done at Mane Stop in Haddonfield, and it was, um, unique. I decided to head next door to Ulta, and see if they had anyone available. When I walked in, I was greeted by Courtney. Even though she was pretty booked for the night (it was already 5:30 by then) and she knew I was looking for something slightly involved, she squeezed me in. I had a vision in my head of exactly what I wanted, but not being a hairdresser, I was having a hard time articulating my gorgeous vision. Courtney walked and talked me through every snip, clip, and shave. Generally speaking, I'm not a huge fan of generic small talk when I'm having my hair done, but Courtney was really friendly and I felt completely at ease in her chair. I absolutely LOVE my new haircut! It's funky, fun, functional and other great F words that escape me right now! Thank you Courtney! You've got a new regular in me! read more

I went to this location tonight trying to find an incredibly light concealer for a look I wanted to do and didn't really know what brands to look at. I asked one of the employees (Morgan) and she walked through practically the whole store with me testing and recommending different products until I found one I liked. She also was very knowledgeable about many different brands and recommended specific products from each. I was very happy with my experience at this store and will continue to come here for my makeup needs. Two other employees helped us look as well. I didn't catch their names but they were very helpful and friendly as well. 10/10 recommend. read more

Rachel is AMAZING! She is an incredible Colorist and Beautician! She does a fantastic time every time I get my haircut and is knowledgeable about ALL hair products. She also does my daughter's hair and now my husbands. Rachel also pays attention to what I'm asking for when I get my hair cut and colored.
