Kym's waxing studio is located in a cute little salon in the middle of Haddonfield. I walked in without an appointment and waited a good 40 minutes before she was able to see me. That being said, CALL and make an appointment! She is very busy. And busy means good. She was very sweet and easy to talk to. She matched my brow shape perfectly.. And even pointed out spots that should grow in (these spots never grow in but it was nice to hear the honesty) after 10 minutes I was on my way, completely satisfied. Highly recommended. The staff was welcoming, yet the skill used on me felt as though a layer of skin was being pulled. Additionally, I noticed precise tools were used after threading. I did see my results with the mirror and tipped well for the single staff. While the place is comfortable and staff was not in a rush, I would say the quality must be improved to discourage complaints.

Padma's offers many types of salon services and henna. I have now been going every few weeks for my brow threading over the course of several months. Padma's is located in a strip mall in Voorhees. It's not your average fancy or aesthetically-pleasing salon. However, it offers a good variety of salon/spa services as well as Indian wedding makeup. The women who work here are dedicated and do a great job. Because Padma's is well-staffed, they are able to accommodate a good number of customers at once. For eyebrow threading/waxing, appointments aren't required. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to get my threading done. Overall, I really like this place. The women who work here all do a great job. While they're not focused on exceptional customer service, they still do their best to make conversation and be friendly. For anyone who is familiar with foreign-owned businesses, Padma's has some of that sentimental "back home" feel. Their pricing is also much lower than others in the area; they charge $6 for brows and $4 for upper lip. This place is a true gem; I always make sure to plan my threading around the times in the area.

I paid…read more$100 for builder gel on my natural nails, which is excessive considering I travel often and have never paid over $70 at other salons. I came in with builder gel already on my nails, and while I agreed to remove the previous set and add a $10 French tip on 4 nails, I was never told about extra charges added at checkout for "soaking off" and "length." Charging extra for removal makes no sense when nails are typically filed down during a new set anyway, and charging for length feels like an unnecessary add-on since maintaining length is part of regular fills and sets. Listing lower prices online only to add surprise fees is misleading, so I'd recommend asking about every charge beforehand. What made this worse is less than two weeks later my builder gel started separating from my natural nails and one completely popped off. During the appointment my nails were also burning badly under the UV light, which has never happened to me before despite getting builder gel regularly for the last 8 months. I called twice to address the issue and the manager has yet to return my call. Between the hidden charges, poor quality work, and lack of customer service, this was by far the worst builder gel experience I've had.
