I guess that was their idea of layers. And they let me leave the salon looking like that. I called Rebecca the next day and said can you please fix my hair?!?! She got me in the next day and fixed it(the picture on the right)! It was so uneven and bad, but she did a great job with what she had to work with!! She is going to do my highlights tomorrow! My hair color was a light brown with golden/red undertones. I had spoken with my sister who is a cosmetologist as well as two other friends who work at hair salons and they all told me that what I wanted would be easy to have done and not be that expensive. I went into InStyle for the first time for my appointment with Jesse. I let her know what I wanted thinking there would be no issue and she immediately took on a very argumentative tone with me regardless of the polite tone that I speak to everyone in. She has no respect for her clients or their wishes whatsoever. I ended up getting a drab basic dark brown all-over color which costed my $125. Back in Jan. I had the same exact service done, an all-over color and cut, at Younique (which I suggest you go to instead) and it was only $95 and the service was infinitely better. I don't enjoy being yelled at by someone who I am paying - she honestly created a scene. I wish I had the guts to grab my bag and walk out the door the first time she started raising her voice and and talking to me so fast and aggressive. Also, I asked for an inch or two off my ends and she only dusted them with a minimal trim. I have never had this problem anywhere as most stylists cut off too much but I barely felt or saw the scissors touch my hair. She said this was because my hair was healthy, however part of her reasoning in not wanting to do the blonde pieces was that it would leave my hair damaged. I told her I had tried blondes in my hair before and it took the process well but she likely wasn't listening to me. Unbelievable. The other ladies that work there seemed like they would have given me equally unsatisfying service. This is honestly a horrible salon. The pictures on Google make it look ritzy and inviting but it is absolute trash I tell you.
