I love Ulta, this one is way cleaner then the one in Riverpark. They are stocked with more products as well. Always use your coupon to get 3.50 off non prestige products. Very happy to have an Ulta in Clovis. This is the place to go for those brands that previously I could only get online. Do not come here for things you can get at a drugstore for buy one get one, you will pay a lot more here. This place is for those brands that used to br only available at Macy's and Sephora, you will pay less here. So I made an Salon appointment, at a time that can fit my schedule (obviously). Then the person that I chose for my service calls me and tells me that she's free and I could in at anytime. So I said at 11, I'm working and this will be my lunch. WELL, I get there and she's busy with another customer, tells me she's will be done at 11:10 and she will come and get me. i'm like oh okay, 11:10 comes by and nothing, 11:20 nothing....finally at 11:30 I approached her and said I'm going to have to cancel, she's like "oh I'm free" and I was like I don't have time. I had to wait 40 mins for nothing. And she even tells, well you are early. REALLY! This is my first time trying their salon and so far is has been a really bad impression. read more

I have a complaint about the color options in the Clovis, CA store. I've been to that location 2 times before to buy LORAC POREfection powder in Tan & Deep. Before leaving out of town for the weekend I stopped by the Clovis, CA location to grab those once again. I noticed when I was looking through the LORAC POREfection powder it now only goes up to medium. When I asked a store associate I was told that since my colors weren't considered a "best seller" they no longer carry it. The associated told me to shop online. I found that very odd since I have bought Tan and Deep twice before at that very location. To be told to shop online was not helpful, plus I didn't have the time hence I was leaving out of town. My question to Ulta is....If your skin is considered darker then Medium are you no longer welcome to shop at that Clovis location? Why am I no longer welcome to walk in and buy my LORAC POREfection compact in Tan & deep? I was deeply dissatisfied with being told to shop online simply because my skin tone isn't a "best seller". I always looked at Ulta for their wide variety and selection for all nationalities..... but now I guess I can no longer do that. I also mentioned to the associate that I found it a waste of their money to bring in MAC which we can find anywhere vs them spending the money to keep darker skin shades in their inventory. Is it a fair assessment to say that if your skin tone is darker than medium you're no longer welcome to shop inside Ulta Clovis anymore? read more

The cashier Alex has been helpful and pleasant every time I've been in there. Other than that I've experienced terrible customer service at this location. Went to the store yesterday, walked in and was never greeted by employees, finally I went and I asked for help with a color match and was told they would call someone over. Waited ten minutes and no one ever came, all that the original employee had to say was "oh no one ever came?" Not an apology or can I help you. On my previous visit I waited about ten minutes and someone did come to help, only she helped a woman who had just walked in even though I'd been there waiting. I'm very impressed with the customer service at this store. I went in to return a online order that took way to long to be delivered. The online order didn't come with proper forms to return in the store. The staff not only returned the items but also apologized and hooked me up with tons of fun sample items. read more

I will start this review by saying I never have had outstanding customer service at any Ulta location, so I was really just going to go in and out to do an exchange. I would like to applaud my cashier, Alexis, and the gentleman that I believe worked at the MAC counter, as they are the main employees that made a positive impact on my shopping experience. Alexis had my transaction done quick and was very friendly while doing so. After my transaction, I thought I'd look around for any cool brands because this is not typically my Ulta location of choice. As I was shopping, an associate briefly stopped to ask if I was doing okay, and before I was even able to say yes, she walked away with an irritated smile, so much for at least pretending to care. Then as I was looking at the brands on the prestige side, an associate was trying to show a customer a product that I was somewhat in front of, so naturally I begin to move and she was hovering, practically breathing on my neck, without even attempting to say excuse me. As I got out of her way, I looked at her to see if she was at least going to say sorry, or ask how I was doing (You can help multiple people at a time, I work retail too :)) and she seemed to not care that she just gave some really ugly body language. Most staff that just seemed like they hated being there were the more mature women on the prestige side. Hopefully they get better training because this location has a lot of cool brands that I would to shop for without feeling like an inconvenience to the staff! read more

This store is just okay. The employees are always just okay. They're never overly friendly or helpful. Went in looking for a certain Ulta brand eyeshadow or even something similar and their selection was terrible. Out of most colors and it's even their OWN brand! Not to mention this has happened before and I'm almost surprised when their selection is plentiful. Figured since they didn't have the makeup I came in for I would check out their men's Gucci cologne. Found the bottle right away but they had no tester to sample. I asked for a price check and the girl was very rude. I also used a coupon off of my phone and the girl picked up my phone scanned the coupon and slide the phone across the counter... Over all, didn't get the help I needed, couldn't find the product that I went there for, mentioned this to Chantel, not 1 time did she offered to help me find what I was looking for, nonetheless didn't page for help as she stated that she can't leave the register as there was a line! I shop at ulta all the time and every time I go I always have great service, everybody working always greats me and asks if i need help no matter which location I go to which I love but this particularly store is absolutely horrible! I got the worst customer service from the lady named maddie behind the register, first thing I let her know ahead of time that I had a coupon and points on my phone from the app then she stops me right there and tells me I couldn't use both when I come in at least once every month and buy the same items and use both points and coupons no problem! She didn't even see what I was talking about before rejecting me then gave me attitude the entire transaction. I asked for her name and to speak to the manager and when she came over not only was she younger than the person that rang me out I got attitude from her too! So I didn't even waste my time and just left! Will definitely not shop at this location ever again I'd rather drive the one of the other locations. read more

I don't know why everyone is saying the employees are rude? I have never experienced a rude employee here or at any Ulta I've been to. Everyone is always asking me if I need help, if they can color match or if they can get me anything. Their return policy is great especially when you have sensitive skin and you break out easily. If I have a problem with a foundation, I just bring it back and I get my money back. I've had a few employees help me try to find a skin care routine that will help me get rid of my horrible acne. I finally found Dermadoctor thanks to the employee who moved here from.. Alabama I believe is what she said? My cystic acne is literally gone after one week and she was so personable and sweet when she was going over the product with me. Y'all are doing good in here so idk why you're getting bad reviews. read more

The employees at this location provide wrong information! I have called on 2 separate occasions, 2 different dates, 2 different times searching for a specific item in stock, and have been told they have the product I'm looking for in store. I live 30 to 45 minutes away from this Ulta in Clovis, I always attempt to pick up the item the same day I called to see if the item is in stock only to be told they don't it! And then there's always a confusion on who told the wrong information. Never going to this location again and filing a complaint with headquarters..... Ulta should really do better with their hiring process because those women are idiots! read more

I went in this store for a return and the 2 employees at the counter were rude, condescending and all around unhelpful. I was in here for an hour trying to get my item returned. Long story short, I finally found Brooke who was BEYOND helpful and the only competent employee I came across during my visit today. I have since called corporate as well as emailed them. I always go to ulta to get my hair done, and my simple a-line cut is usually pretty easy to do. I have had great experiences with most of the girls that work in there and they usually all charge the same rate for a hair cut. I went in and asked for the same thing I usually do and the guy that cut my hair, Abe, didn't say much to me or ask any questions about my hair and made it seem like he understood what I wanted. Now most girls in there that have cut my hair help me out and give suggestions, Abe was quiet and only asked about how short I wanted it. He also seem arrogant and rude. I asked for it to come down past my chin in the front, and it is just at my chin and got maybe slightly shorter in the back. I walked out feeling like I wanted to scream because I looked like Willy Wonka. He also charged me $70 to cut my hair in a pretty much straight line all the way across. Will not being going back again. This was the worst experience I've ever had. read more

I like this location because it's better than the riverpark one of because I don't feel like I'm being judged and followed and watched. Lol however, when i do need help or have a question it seems like there's only one girl ringing people at the registers. And when I go up to the registers to ask a question I'll wait my turn and they look annoyed as if I ruined their whole entire day. I go to where the *prestige* brands are at and those MUAs are nicer and more willing to help. Ulta does not care about customer service. I bought a Clairsonic Mia 1 online and used a 20% off coupon. A few days later, before the package arrived, it went on sale. When the package arrived I went to the store and they would not do a price adjustment. Said it was a policy. Even though the it was still on sale and the coupon was still effective. Lines are long. Terrible service and they do not treat customers well. I'm never going to buy from Ulta again. read more
