    The picture I gave her for what I want my hair to look like

    Saturday I when to ulta Beauty to get two strand twist done to my hair and I left looking like this The day before my services the stylist Jada L. Contacted me to asked what style would I like because on ulta's website the option for textured set comes in a variety of different styles so I told her I wanted flat twist updo style. She told me she could not do that hairstyle. She only did two strand twist , perm rod set, silk press and wash and go so I chose the two strand twist. We discussed more about how she does her two strand twist and I asked her if she wanted me to come up to Ulta that night so she could see my hair. She initially said no because she had a client, but I still went anyway and we talked about my hair I showed her a picture of the style and she looked at my hair. I told her what was going on with my hair. I asked her would she be able to do my kind of hair? She said she could still do the hairstyle. The next day (my appointment day)I got there she looked at my hair again. She said she noticed some heat damage on the ends of the front of my hair she recommended I get a trim I said not this time I just want a deep condition and two strand twist. After she took me from under the dryer. I noticed my hair was still a little damp, so she said she was going to use the blow dryer to finish drying my hair when I looked at myself in the mirror. I noticed my hair did not look anything like the picture I showed her so I said can I be honest she said "Sure, yes I would love critiques" and then proceeded to say I felt like my hair looked old like it's been done for about two weeks already. Plus all the twists aren't even the same size or close to the same size. It looks very messy. She said well there is heat damage so that's why it may look like that and I said I understand, but you said my heat damage was towards the end of my hair like the very end of my hair not the roots. Why does the roots look old, the parts are huge I can barely see the parts in the front of my head. She said it's heat damage and I said now it's heat damage at the root of my hair? She said I understand you want the " slick down look", I didn't use gel I just used moose foam" I said I didn't need any gel and I'm not looking for a slick down look more like a neat look and right now it doesn't look like that. I said be honest could you see yourself going to work looking like this and she said I mean, I don't see anything wrong and I said it just doesn't look neat and then she said well if it was me I would understand I have heat damage. So I was like heat damage does not cause the hair to look messy like this when it's being styled a certain way she said she would get a manager to handle the rest of this she snatched the apron off of me, pulled the perm rods out of my head and told me I could go sit at the front. She didn't even say who the manager was who was going to help me so then a woman came up to me and said so what's wrong with your hair and I said hi my name is tiffany and the issue I'm having is that my hair looks two weeks old already and I just got it done. I came here to get two strand twist and this is unacceptable so the woman said well we comped your service and I said thank you and she walked away. There was no understanding, no customer service. It was basically like we didn't charge you not get out. When you work in a customer service atmosphere the customer is always the customer and you should always treat that person like the customer whether they are right or if you feel like they are wrong they're still your customer you're still here to service them, respectfully...

    Admittedly, I am addicted to beauty products which is the reason why I have avoided this store for so long. So I went in there today and it was everything I feared and hoped. I went in to help my mother select an eyebrow pencil, and thanks to a no-pressure staff I left completely unscathed. Not with more items than I wanted to buy and memories of a persistent sales staff, simply one eyebrow product which I will actually use on a quasi-regular basis. As a former beauty advisor, I knew that this was a "class" operation when I saw the state of the testers. Everything was pristine and in proper order. I remained impressed with how super helpful the entire staff seemed to be. They were the best mix of accommodative and advising. I have to add how much I appreciate that this store isn't inside the mall. I am uninterested in dealing with the crowds and parking, in Concord Mills Mall. This Ulta has a massive parking lot that is shared with other stores that I like. And it's about five minutes from my house. Now I can get my beauty fix (I mean) much-needed "items" with no pressure and no problems.

    This is my daughter's dream store. She loves shop and look at every single thing Ulta has to offer. She mentioned that she wanted a color pallet for Christmas. So six days before Christmas I decide to to there and grab it and a few stocking stuffers for her. The store, itself, is big, bright and clean. It is organized and everything is displayed to create the best presentation as possible. I am a fish out of water in a makeup store but a kind salesperson guided me through the aisles and helped me find the pallet I was searching for as well as a few other items that I am sure my daughter will love. Finding the wonderful merchandise was the easy part. It's less than a week before Christmas and peak season for merchants. You'd think they would have more than one register going at a time. I stood in the labyrinth of a checkout line waiting to pay for my items. The poor cashier was going as fast as she could. She needed help. The store is conveniently located with sufficient parking. Shopping there is pretty nice.

My face look 75% better 24 hrs later. She did a facial, dermaplan, extractions (many) and finish off with a sensi peel. She have proven that there's instant results so I'm booked a monthly appt til I can get these breakouts under control. And what I like about Melissa is, she made suggestions on products but never pushes you.. For that I even appreciate more. She now gain a loyal customer.

I was assured that my skin tone, hair texture, and ethnicity would not be an issue and was even told that my dark hair should respond well to the treatment. After completing six sessions, I saw little to no noticeable reduction in hair growth. Throughout the process, it became increasingly apparent that treating women with my skin tone and hair type was not something this business had significant experience with. Despite following the recommended treatment plan and attending multiple appointments, I did not receive the results I was promised. Because I was not seeing any improvement, I canceled my final two appointments. When I called, the receptionist apologized and stated that a manager would contact me. The manager did reach out, apologized for my experience, and told me she would speak with the laser technician to review my progress and treatment history. Unfortunately, after that conversation, I never heard back. There was no follow-up, no explanation, no concern for the lack of results, and no effort to address my experience. What disappointed me most was not only the lack of results, but the lack of customer care. Once my concerns were raised, communication completely stopped. It left me feeling as though the focus was on collecting payments rather than ensuring clients achieve successful outcomes. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage women of color, particularly African-American women with coarse hair, to thoroughly research a provider's experience treating diverse skin tones and hair types before committing to a treatment package. My concerns were not taken seriously, my results were nonexistent, and my attempts to seek answers were ultimately ignored.
