It has taken me quite some time to write this review. About two months actually. I wanted to make sure that I was being fair and not writing from pure emotion. According to my previous reviews I have been a loyal customer but unfortunately no longer. I've always loved the service from the nail techs as well as the owner, Jason. For this appointment, I scheduled in advance in order to get my favorite nail tech. I learned my lesson before when I walked in and had to go with another nail tech because she wasn't available. While I waited for her, Jason offered to take my nails which he did, no problem. After finishing he placed a sheet of paper in front of me filled with handwritten names and phone numbers. He pointed to my name and asked if that was me. I happily replied yes when I recognized my phone number. He then proceeded to tell me that I had written a bad review and I needed to take it down. Taken aback I asked him to repeat it. He did. I informed him that my review honestly captured my experience and I was happy to update it. I asked him if he addressed my concerns. Rather than acknowledging my concerns or even apologizing, he continued to state that I needed to take my review down. At this point I felt bullied because I realized that this was likely something he has done before which means that the reviews are not an honest reflection of people's experiences. He went on to tell me that I could not be serviced unless I took the review down. I asked how much I owed him for taking my nails off and promptly paid him cash. I then walked out and headed to the new nail salon that just opened by my house. I hadn't gone there yet because I was willing to drive the 30 minutes to come here. This was my last trip to Concord Nail Spa. I'm very disappointed and shocked to learn that Jason, the owner bullies people into writing the reviews that he wants. He said that I should have come to him first and I actually agree with him. Had he responded to my concerns I would have done an update acknowledging that. I got a full set of acrylics - medium almond w/gel polish. My nails started lifting and popping off a week after getting them done. I've never had my nails come off that quickly. I went to get one of the popped off ones fixed. The male nail tech was rude. He got upset because I didn't remember the number and asked for a book to see. Then he didn't match the shape. When I asked him to fix it, he got an attitude. My nails were pointy almond and he made it round almond. I also had to tell him to make it the same length as the other ones. I broke up with my regular nail shop today (I'm devastated) but came here on a whim as I was desperate to get a fresh mani to brighten my day (going through a ton). Anywho. The tech was nice although she had her daughter present playing. Her daughter was sweet and pleasant too, but going through a lot, I really just wanted to sit in silence. It is a "spa" after all. It should've been relaxing. This is probably one of the worst manicures I've received. They don't soak off gel. My nails were drilled to hell as I previously had a few layers of gel on. Not their fault but they should've soaked it off. My nails hurt so bad. My cuticles look terrible. The shape isn't cohesive. Although the nail tech (who was black btw, which I loved) took her time, it was sloppiest paint job I've ever had. I'm so embarrassed to show my nails. It's also weirdly dim in the salon, so I really couldn't tell until outside. The quality of the nail polish was off. After the days I've been having, it was no surprise this didn't cheer me up. I have never written a review of anyone before, but this one certainly warrants my review. I should have paid attention to reviews before I took my daughter-in-law and her maid of honor here to get manicures and pedicures two days before the wedding. First of all, I scheduled the appointment ahead of time and they did not have three people to provide services for us. They started on the maid of honor first and my daughter-in-law and I were just sitting there doing nothing. I had to ask to get our feet soaked while we waited. We also learned near the end of the appointment that we could've had drinks, but we were not even offered them! I stated from the moment I walked in that I just wanted a French manicure done on my nails no gel or anything. Since I've never been here, I was not familiar with how things were done. When my hands were put under a light to dry, I asked if it was the light drying my nails or the heat from the light? Jason answered..." It's the light drying the gel.". I then said "Gel!??? I didn't want gel!!'". Needless to say, I was extremely upset, but did not want to cause a scene in front of my soon to be daughter-in-law and her friend. Knowing I was upset he said I could come in after the wedding and get it taken off for free. I was shocked when I went to check out that he charged me for a service that I didn't even want! I would've been fine if I had been charged for a French manicure, but I was charged for gel nails that I never wanted from the beginning. I went back in to get the gel taken off (which didn't last anyway) and I spoke with him and gave him my feedback before posting this review to see if he wanted to try to make it right in any way. He could've cared less! When I said, I don't think it really matters to you he said nothing. He basically told me to tell them right away next time (which I said multiple times on this visit what I wanted and the girls with me could vouch for that) and he did what he wanted to do anyway. uptake and charge me for something I didn't want! I will never be returning here and cannot recommend them to anyone!!! especially Jason!!! The technician who did my daughter-in-law's nails was extremely sweet and new to this location. Hopefully she will eventually go and find employment at a better salon. If I could put zero stars, I would! The salon is nice inside, but it totally doesn't matter when the service is poor! Since COVID I've not had great experiences with nail salons as I feel they just want your money and not provide adequate services. However, after visiting the Concord Nail Spa on a SunDate with my husband they exceeded my expectations. My technician was Miss Lulu and my husband had Miss Lisa. Both these ladies did a phenomenal job especially since hubby's and my feet were dangerously ratchet after vacationing 2 months prior Miss Lulu made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire service (had the VOESH package). These ladies really took their service to the next level ensuring that our feet were walking on clouds when we left. Thank you Miss Lulu and Miss Lisa for a job well done and great experience!!! I was a first time client at Concord Nails Spa and I really loved my experience! The place was great, very clean, not a strong "nail salon" odor, and a great vibe! I asked for a full acrylic set, and received just what i asked for! The price was average, a bit on the cheaper side in comparison to other places close by. The reason for the 2 star review is the overall quality of the nails, i got the set late Friday night, around 6 pm, and by monday one had already broken off. I called the shop immediately and they took me immediately and the nail was fixed in 30 minutes! I was so impressed by the service! But, on tuesday, 2 more nails proceeded to break off. I'm not upset at the nail tech but I think there wasnt enough glue on the tips to keep them secure because all of the nails broke off at the same place. read more

The lady that did my nails didn't use anything sterile she got the nail stuff from a nail box under her desk. Instead of getting a new set of nail supplies. She also burned me multiple times after telling her it was hot she still pushed my hands into the hot wax. After I was done I was disappointed in the job she did. She then had moved on to the next customer and didn't sterilize her area and the lady told her to and she threw a fit. I complained to the manager and he fixed it but still wouldn't recommend her.
