When you pull up here, you see the salon resembles a quaint house on a hill. There is ample parking. Inside the salon is decorated very cute with lots of fancy black accents. I found this salon on Groupon and got a killer deal on a full foil highlight which is normally priced at $80. I saw Mikayla M and she did a great job. She was easy to talk to and she gave a lot of attention to my hair. A mother and daughter own the salon. Check out their website to meet the stylists. There is a wide array of stylists but only a few who honor the Groupon. I was please with everyone's professionalism and the cleanliness of the salon. I would definitely come back! The only bummer was that no one answered when I called during normal business hours one day and I called multiple times. Showed my stylist a picture of brown highlights, (who was aware that I was willing to pay extra for toner and balayage) and received the skunk-like stripes seen in the image below in response, leading to a nightmare journey of cover up attempts and gasps from stylists at other salons that I consulted who were shocked at "who did this" to my hair. The stylist that executed the highlights was sweet and the atmosphere was relaxing and clean, hence the 2 stars that I (dare I say generously) have given. However, the quality of the highlights were not only unlike the photo that I showed the stylist, but also poorly created in regards to lack of toning, placement, and thickness. When attempting to contact the original stylist in regards to fixing the skunk-lights, poor communication and extra charges were received in response, along with an appointment date over a week later, which is why I went over the highlights with a dark color on my own after receiving some kind advice from some Sally's Beauty staff, who were also horrified at the state of my hair. Great little salon! I had Heather help me and she was absolutely fantastic! Very friendly and did an amazing job with my cut. I found this place through Groupon and was highly satisfied. One of the first things that I think about when moving to a new area (now that I don't have to worry about school systems since my kids are graduated), is finding a place to get my hair done. I don't spend money on designer clothes or $50 shoes....a BOGO at Payless is my kind of deal....but I do splurge when it comes to my hair. I don't mind playing for quality. And if the stylist has a good personality to boot, that's even better. Yesterday whilst perusing my email, I opened my latest Groupon which offered a deal at Elements Salon and Day Spa, in Concord. There were three deals, and I opted for the "haircut, conditioning treatment and blow out" for $25. (A $55 value). I called too late for anyone to be there, and left a message. The next morning I received a call from Magan Smith, and she cheerfully set up an appointment for me. I arrived this morning at the shop, a charming white house that immediately makes customers feel welcome. Inside the home has been made into a salon, each room belonging to a stylist, with the "living room" set up with sinks and dryers. Magan took me into her room and sat me down, asking what I wanted to do with my hair. I gave her the low down on my locks, and she immediately knew what I was talking about. We were then off to shampoo and condition. When we got back to the room, I sat down and Magan began her magic. I felt very at ease with her as we chatted about all sorts of things. She cut my hair with me facing away from the mirror....which I was not used to....however, I had a feeling things would turn out well. When she turned me around, I felt like one of those women on a makeover show. I immediately felt my hair while simultaneously giggling, "I love it!" It really did look wonderful. I would definitely recommend Elements Salon and Day Spa to anyone looking for a new place to get their hair done. From the homey feel of the salon, to the friendly staff, this was a definite 5 star experience. Ask for Magan....although I'm sure any one of the women would do a good job! read more

Meredith is an incredibly talented stylist. I have followed her over the years to different salons because she is my go to girl! I gladly drive over 30min to see her. She can do stunning vivid fashion colors and beautiful everyday looks. Bridal, runway, you name it she can do it. Shes professional, fun and all around amazing. Ashlyn from Elements texted me in a response to a message I left about highlights. She said extra would be charged for toner, if needed, and I expressed my concerns regarding the use of toner as I have never needed to have it and she replied that her salon owner uses it everyday. I replied that I was not comfortable using toner on my hair and would like to cancel. She proceeded to tell me (and this is her EXACT text) "Oh wow. Yeah you should probably just go back to your old stylist. I don't think this business relationship would work with that negative outlook." Completely unprofessional and unbelievably rude. I love the employees and available services. I visit this salon on a regular basis. My only issue is that the air conditioner is ALWAYS ON. I understand it is a salon and dryers are on, but it is cold in there. Today it is so cold my nose started running and I'm shivering. Then, I leaned on the wall and paint got on my shirt arm. Should there not have been a sign to tell me the paint was wet? Who paints while customers are coming in on a weekend when it is extra busy? read more

I used a groupon with Heather for highlights and a haircut. It was the worse cut I have eve gotten. I got an inverted bob and after over an hour of her trying to get it even I left with it much longer in certain spots. It was very noticeable. I hate writing reviews like this. I redeemed a groupon for a full foil highlight. I have dark hair and stressed I wanted it really natural and subtle, just more dimension. I ended up with over-processed tiger stripe highlights and hair closer to blonde which is not what I wanted at all. I actually went straight to the drug store to purchase a dark kit to try and cover it up. My hair cut is good and the stylist was really nice, but I would veer clear of this location if you are looking for color. read more
