I went into Ulta on a Friday. An "older" (maybe in her 50s) helped me. She was amazing and understood what I as looking for in makeup as I am in my 80s. She said she only worked Thursday - Saturday. The Ulta in Davenport Iowa continues to have the worst customer service in Davenport, and is the worst run location of any Ulta I've been to around the country. The store and shelves are a mess and the ladies they have working at the front register are awful. When I went to make my purchase two days ago, there were four ladies standing behind the counter chatting. They looked at me like I was an intruder. Finally one (Marina) motioned me to the counter. Marina could not have been more unfriendly if she tried (actually maybe she was trying to be awful). When I got done paying, she put my item in a bag that was barely large enough to hold the item without ripping. Then she said, "here's that for you." No, she did not say thank you, or have a nice day or any other acceptable phrase that would indicate to YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT ULTA APPRECIATES THEIR BUSINESS. She said "here's that for you" motioning to the item that I just paid my hard earned $$ for! I understand that it may be hard to find good help, but trust me on this Ulta, I've been working in business for 40 years and IT'S MUCH HARDER TO FIND GOOD CUSTOMERS! There are a lot of other options available. After being a "Platinum Member" for years, given my continued disappointments at Ulta Davenport, I have decided to switch all my future purchases to Sephora. Sephora's staff are well trained everywhere you go. They act like they actually appreciate their customers! I don't know why Ulta hasn't addressed the issues with their Davenport store. It would be better to close the store than to suffer the reputational damage. Never again Ulta!! read more

I went to your store to look for eyeshadow and Crystal approached me immediately and Gave me a demonstration of how to lift my eye, for a nicer look. She also helped my friend find eyeliner. When i said i wanted done fun colors, she called Sam over and she helped me with that. You have a very good team there! read more

I was charged 150.00 for 1 all over color and a 2" in trim. I was there for 3 hr. I wanted highlights. I was told since I've been touching up my roots with Sally's products ( not the box) I mix myself 2 Oz per 2oz developer. ..my hair would fall out. All I needed was gray coverage on my roots if she refused to give me highlights. Then proceeded to yell me I should get professional root touch ups for 2 month before I try highlights. Mind you my hair is not damaged. It's all regrowth due to a super cute cut I got last year. If my hair was damaged it wouldn't have grown out 6 in in a year!! read more

Absolutely amazing service from the moment we walked in till we left! Selinet did a color match on my daughter and was so sweet! Then we go to shampoos and Alina I believe her name was stopped what she was doing to help me pick the right product for my needs! Then Celeste at the register not only was super kind but wrote down the girls names that helped me so I could make this review. I've never been to such a wonderful ulta before. I was extremely displeased the last time I visited this store! A couple of weeks ago, I ran quickly here to pick up some refills on items I had been using. Walking in, I was following a couple of young teenage girls which one was speaking about buying an Ariana Grande perfume for her sisters birthday! Upon entry to the store, the workers immediately began following this group of girls around the store. For the purpose of why I was so displeased, I believe it is key to note that these young girls were hispanic. The whole time, they were talking and laughing and began to notice multiple store workers following them around and hovering over them. It was clear to see, from my perspective that the workers were profiling them as individuals who may have bad intent to take something from the store. The girls noticed this following. Yet, they got their perfume and went up to the cash register to pay for the perfume and we're on their way. As someone who has not been profiled themselves but was witness to it, this was very upsetting. Even after they left, the workers who were following them around were calling them ratchet and saying they were surprised the girls didn't try to shove stuff into their pockets. This was completely unnecessary given that they have scanners and people manning the door already to ensure nothing is stolen. I was extremely displeased with their treatment of paying customers just based on their age and race. If I can help it, I will not be returning. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. They should have been given the right to good intentions the second they entered, very upsetting. read more

My daughter and I were in there May 11, 2018. I was looking for a certain brand which I was directed to but the staff seemed rude and annoyed when you asked them for help... One young man kept following me around acting like I was going to steal the purchase I planned to make and I got followed through the store... The staff was rude and snotty, seemed bothered if you asked them for assistance they were busy takling about their personal lives too much to be bothered other than following me through the store... And the Older bleach blonde lady at check out was very rude... Not a place I will visit again and I like Ulta's products but the staff needs retraining or proper socialization... The people coming to shop in your store helps pay your pay checks, try to be nice and alot less rude... won't go there again... read more

Visited the Davenport, IA location today. The store is filthy, not a tissue to be found to wipe my hand off, went to restroom It was filthy! POOR customer service!! As, stand in line with 5+ other customers to make a purchase; 2 clerks are busy digging through the clearance nail polish bin.... Totally oblivious to ppl standing in line to make a purchase here! The only cashier (Kala) asked for assistance- to no avail. I locate one of the managers & make her aware that the 2 employees busy having personal conversation & digging in the clearance nail polish bin presents an awful customer service image for the store! She merely shrugged it off, but eventually asked one of the two "stagnate" employees to help her co- worker. If possible, will never go there again! Clearly ULTA does not want your business, so go elsewhere! read more

Really friendly and helpful staff. I can not say enough good things about Mark in the salon! He is a pro with cut and color and works wonders with my hair. I am product-obsessed, so this place has everything I want and NOW they even carry iT! Cosmetics, which makes the best concealer I've ever tried. My daughters shop Ulta fairly frequently. We shopped there today and spent $53.00. They had signs posted saying if you purchased $25 worth of Bare Minerals product, you would recieve a free gift. My 15 year old daughter was excited about it. We spent $35 worth of the product. When we checked out, the gift wasn't mentioned, so I asked about it. The sales lady (who was very friendly) said they were all out. She gave us a little sample of sun screen for our free gift. My daughter was dissapointed and so was I. They really should not display signs that they cannot follow through with the offer. read more
