Well organized Ulta beauty location that's conveniently located within this large shopping plaza. I was shopping for some fall deals up at the Banana Republic Factory outlet when I spotted this Ulta and realized I was in dire need of a new beauty blender, so I decided to stop in. My mom also was on the hunt for a new nail polish color, so we we went in together. The store is well stocked and maintained. They had end caps with end of season deals that were really a bargain, but I resisted the temptation and kept my eye on what I was actually at the store for, for once. The beauty blenders were easy to find, tucked in the corner along with other brushes and sponges and applicators. There wasn't a large selection of blenders but the Ulta brand one is the kind that I like anyway, so I was happy to see it in stock. The line moved quickly, and the cashier applied my purchase to my rewards account that I have here. If you're in the area and need something from Ulta this is a solid location. read more

I went into Ulta Beauty with my sister because she was looking for tinted moisturizer. We were greeted by an excellent Ulta Beauty worker named Chance. He told us that the 21 days of beauty was going on and what deals were available. The Cecred Hair Oil was half off and I was surprised that it was in stock. I also purchased the body wash from Tree Hut which smelled amazing. The customer service provided by Chance was great and we both got great deals. I can't wait to use my new products. read more

Came here to get my haircut and I felt the tension between the employees which was VERY uncomfortable. I love my hair, Fran did a wonderful job and she was very professional but I can't say the same for some of the other employees in this store. I think it is very unprofessional that the customer can NOTICE that the employees on the floor do not like the employees working in the salon section. One incident in particular is while I was falling asleep on myself while Fran was cutting my hair, an employee named Gary I believe or something (she was working the register that day on 5/16/26) came to Fran to tell her someone was on the phone asking if they can come in earlier for their appointment (which they couldn't because obviously she was working on my hair), Fran replied to her in a professional way to let her know that the person can't and the other employee completely ignored her IN FRONT OF ME and walked away. Then the customer ended up coming in early and had to wait (I am assuming because they weren't told they shouldn't come earlier). Then there was another incident where the other stylist asked one of the floor employees if they can do her a favor because she was in the middle of styling someone's hair and they employees response was "I can't right now I am busy" in a rude way in front of customers and walked away. I hope this store gets it together. When people come to get their hair done, they want to be able to relax, not feel uncomfortable not because of their stylist but because of other employees! I will be back because Fran does a great job with my hair and she's very nice but if she was not there then I would not be coming back! read more

I went there on Sat Nov 29th and it was busy but I was there to buy a Fenty lipstick that was only available at Ulta Beauty. I am a loyal Sephora customer but once I saw the lipsticks were only available and an exclusive at Ulta, I drove to Westbury coming from Queens NY. I was finding everything ok by myself when the sales girl told me if I spent $50.00 in Fenty I get a free Fenty cosmetic bag. So I picked out another lipstick shade. Off I go for my 30 minute wait in the line wrapped around the store, picking up products along the way!! 2 lip pencils, 1 bottle Clinique Happy perfume, the 2 lipsticks, La Roche-Posay facial lotion,1 blender puff (I have 20 at home but what's 21) haha, either way it was finally my turn at the register. She rings me up (I won't say her name to protect the innocent) she tells me there are no free gift bags "we never have them in the store" and I said, thinking she's wrong," the the sign and sales girl told me to be sure to let you know I should get one as I'm spending $50.00 in Fenty products". She gets a piece of paper and says," no we don't have it !!! You cannot buy in store today, but you can order from me as a online purchase instead and they will ship it to you in about 8 days. I said "I am sorry, I need it for tomorrow". She said, "that's all I can do!!! Next customer"! I told her wait, I need to buy this stuff today and I did $135.00 thinking that Ulta customer service will help me when I called and explain this whole "we don't have them here even though we are supposed to" situation and have got no where. So I have spent cyber Monday trying to get some answers from Ulta beauty!! so at least as I sit at my desk writing all this in my Fenty Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shimmer Gloss Stick" called how many carats" looking fabulous lets see if I ever get my free gift or if will I never return to Ulta beauty or run back to Sephora where they make every wrong right !!! Today I went shopping for 2 special people and as a boy mom I value assistance in purchasing gifts for 20 yr olds. Anaisha was such a kind and helpful patient service representative. The store is always busy and the employees on the register made the wait time just fly by. The young lady was so helpful to offer separate packing and gift receipts I have been to other Ulta stores. Well since Ulta doesn't care about their clients enough to send a follow up email after their service, I'm not shy about giving a review anyway. Ladies, first and foremost, beware if you make an appt. just be prepared to have a walk in take over your spot. There is absolutely NO loyalty to clients who make appts because they will take a walk in and have you sit in the chair with wet hair! About a week ago I went in with an appt for a root touch up and boy did she manage to mess it up. Very blotchy with the color, hardly covered my grays and missed my temples completely. I noticed this mess when I got home and Luckily I received a free service with my points but there is not one decent stylist at Ulta in Garden City. Horrible experience every time I go there. I had a really great experience getting my hair done with Fran G. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do other than something different. There were two very different pictures I was showing her. She ended up doing one first and when I said I didn't care for it she did the next style. I loved it!! She really took her time to do both styles which was really nice! I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will make sure to ask for her next time! Thanks Fran G! At the end I was asking her what products and blow dryer I should use. She asked me what I had at home and when I told her she didn't encourage me to buy anything. She said that what I had was perfect. Usually the salespeople there try to get me to buy their products. This store is very convenient for me. I was reading a lot of the reviews previously posted before drafting this, and I will say that the posts about the lack of customer service is 100% correct. There's not a single chance any worker in this store will offer you assistance- which for an introvert like me it's nice. I don't particularly like being interrupted while shopping, however, I know that if I need assistance- I won't be getting one here. So if you know EXACTLY what you're looking for and want no human contact other than at check out, this is the store for you. I think they can do a better job at merchandise placement because this store is all over the place. Also, I had a weird encounter with the cashier where she abruptly started giggling to herself, which was uncomfortable. TLDR- this isn't your "let me go look around" kind of store, nor the "let me get expert advice." This is strictly a "I'm going in for this specific product, and I know exactly where to find it. Recently, I've been wanting to do my hair since I gave birth a few months ago and wanted to start feeling like myself again, i was digging around to see which ulta I should go to that's near my house and i came across a tiktok, talking about the garden city ulta and the influencer spoke about their positive experience there with the stylist fran so i took my chance and booked with her, and let me tell you she did not disappoint. I've been so iffy about doing my hair at ulta since I've seen so many mixed reviews but fran did such a fantastic job! 10/10. She's so warm and welcoming, i had an amazing time there. Busy store but they tend to over stock their shelves so everything looks cluttered and messy. I was shopping for some skincare and I noticed on all the testers there was a black marker scratched on the back of each item. it got on my hands as I was trying the spray. there are big stickers that says "Tester" so I'm not quite sure for all the mess and confusion that was made on the packaging. The parking lot is really big and I love that there's a Home Goods about four stores down in this mall. Some of the staff are helpful others ignore you. I definitely think some improvements could be made here. so many wonderful Ulta stores in New York! read more

I asked twice for help and no one came to assist me when I needed help finding my shade for a foundation. The girl at the cashier had an attitude. Also when I walked in no one said if I needed any help. My sister came here for her quinceañera which was bollywood themed to get her makeup done. Her appointment was with Andrea at first, but when she realized the theme of the party and what my sister wanted we got a different lady. Her name was Ashiwini and she did an incredible job on my sister's bollywood makeup. My sister is hispanic but ashiwini made my sister look completely bollywood glam. Another thing that Ashiwini helped my sister with was her headpiece. The headpiece kept moving and she was able to secure it with eye lash glue. Used to be my go-to Ulta but... I went in this morning with the intention of buying a new summer perfume - I sprayed 2 on my wrists and one onto the paper sample strip - was about to move on to smell another and I was abruptly approached by an employee there who got right next to me and loudly exclaimed "excuse me - please hand me back the testers you took" - I was so confused so I said what? She repeated herself again with the same statement and once again extremely confused I asked her to clarify.. For a 3rd time she tells me to give her back what I took and it dawned on me... so While Opening my bag so she could see I said you cannot possibly mean the paper test strip that I put in my bag because there was no garbage? Now instead of apologizing profusely while realizing what an egregious error she made, she pretended that's what she meant! She said yes that's exactly what I mean, we don't have a garbage so I was just coming to throw it out for you. I let her know that I knew that's not what she meant because If that was the case, she would have come up to the customer that chose to put this garbage in my bag instead of leave it around the store and asked nicely if I needed a garbage. I let her know that I won't be making any purchases that day or ever again and she couldn't have cared less. I asked to speak to the manager - she unapologetically told me I need to understand what it looked like and gave me a fake "sorry that happened to you" So customers beware - don't enter this store and take anything out/put anything into your purse or risk an embarrassing, loud, unapologetic false accusation like a common criminal This stores employees could certainly use some additional training in management and customer service. Ulta is a store that doesn't really know what it wants to be, so whenever I go here, I'm usually not sure what I need, but I usually do need a more luxury item to keep up with either my hair care or replenish some make up. Ulta doesn't carry all the brands, and most are ones that seem to come and go, but I do like that you can find and use the occasional coupon. On my latest trip, I was looking for a series of items from my hair care list my colorist provided me with. These brands were mostly Redkens, Paul Mitchell and Amika. While Ulta carries many Redkens and Paul Mitchell products, they didn't have any Amika. At least, I didn't see if they did. I wandered the store several times and there was not an associate in sight. Also in my search, I didn't come across any section of UV protecterants for hair. read more

Ulta is the only reason I come to Long Island and since we will be getting one on 86th street, I won't have to come back. I know there are other Ulta Stores closer to the city but this is a good one. It is big and spacious (as most LI stores are). They are fairly well stocked and relatively clean. The staff isn't as good as Sephora and basically attack you when you come in but then are no where to be found when you actually need help. They have a ton of hair products, an area where Sephora is lacking and also a lot of cosmetic lines that Sephora and local drug stores don't carry. Ulta I eagerly await your UES outpost. read more

Went in for 1 thing to just get a foundation match, asked someone for help was told to wait a few minutes. 15 minutes go by no one comes by yet, I take the 3 potential matches to carry around to find someone to ask for help, no one was found meanwhile many employees saw me standing there looking for someone to help me. Balayage color and trim. Charged $240 for service. Not expecting such an expensive cost. I've gone to Ulta salon before and had a much better result for less money. Not going to say it looks bad but it was very subtle for the amount I ended up paying. I asked for highlights to be lite and blonde including around the face. I did not get desired results. Disappointed at the price for the results. Not dissatisfied with the service but shocked at how much money I was charged when it says on the website for long hair it was around $135. Second and third pictures are much better results from previous salon visit for way less than $200. read more

wow! Wow! WOW!!! I would give more stars if Yelp would let me. We were visiting our daughter at Hofstra for Family Weekend. Stopped in to make some purchases and to see if we could schedule a cut. First of all, EVERYONE in the store - front registers, floor, security, and salon - super friendly and helpful. Aly, Master Designer, gave my daughter the most amazing cut and hair treatment. But what really sealed it for me - I left my makeup case with $60 cash in it at the register when I paid for the haircut. Not only did I get my bag back, everything was in it. I would really rate this location a zero if I could. I went in to buy the Clinique eye serum. I've purchased it before and the one they had on display looked like a cloudy white, so I go to open the box to make sure it was indeed the correct color (light orange) that I normally buy. The Clinique associate then abruptly came up to me with the rudest look on her face and said "UM CAN I HELP YOU?" And was looking at my hands as if I was going to steal this product. I said no im okay thank you and continued to browse the store I wanted to buy a few more products. I lasted a total of about 5 additional minutes in the store, she must have flagged me down because thereafter I couldn't as much as Look or touch a display item without an associate interrupting me I kid you not 5 came up to in those 5 minutes bombarding me with questions about anything I looked at. I bought the serum, some lashes and left but honestly should not have supported that store at all. I will definitely not be coming to this place again. The embarrassment and profiling I felt was 100% not okay. My first time going on a Sunday, 1pm. It was already crowded because of the location, being in a popular plaza. The workers don't ask if you need help but when you do ask for it, they are willing and have product recommendations on hand. I was looking for specific things that they were sold out of, but can't knock a place for being sold out of popular/ well known items. I love the displays they have set up of every item to feel quality of the product before purchase. Very important when it comes to choosing makeup. **I was upset however, when I got home. I was given a pamphlet with my receipt. It was about the stores rewards point system. The cashier NEVER asked if it was my first time shopping there to sign up for the rewards program. When you sign up you get 20% off your 1st purchase. I spent 109$ and this would've done a great deal. I called their customer service and they said I would have to go back to the store and sign up, return all my items and repurchase using the points card info. Felt so uncomfortable and judged in this store. If you don't "look attractive" the employees will stare at you and whisper with the other associates, then have one follow you around the store as if you don't belong there. I watched at least five associates go up to people around the store and ask if they needed help with anything meanwhile they all just ignored me. I had to go up to someone to ask for help and she was actually quite nice and helpful and then she said she didn't even work in that location, not surprised.
