I was very excited to learn that Ariana Grande had dropped a new perfume after the second Wicked movie had come out. I knew that my family was going to be out in West Chester for the day and we passed by this Ulta location all the time. I had pre ordered the Ariana Grande Perfume and two of the Wicked Makeup Brushes. When I made the order I was informed that there was an item that they didn't have although I was still charged for everything. I ended up getting a refund for part of the order and I was allowed to order it directly to my apartment with no shipping cost. The people who helped me get my items and find a solution to the problem were really kind. The store was also easy to navigate, the prices were fair although expensive and I would have to say that this is my second favorite company to get my makeup and skin care products. I'm grateful to having this store accessible to me although not in walking distance. read more

After years of perfume, skin care, makeup shopping at the Dobbs Ferry location off the Saw Mill Pkwy, this Hartsdale locale is the real deal in terms of assistance and supply (though some fragrance samples are locked up). Aside from that or the lackadaisical salon dept everyone seems to be talking about, this is beauty heaven sent. And what's a beauty shopping spree without sheet masks galore? ULTA Beauty has an impressive array of these skin-saving wonders that I've been using. Plus all their star offerings are here from IT Cosmetics, Ole Henriksen Skincare and so many more. As for the dollar points, I like to accrue enough of them and use for a big purchase like fragrance. Placing a pick up order at this location is pointless since you have to stand in line with every other customer in the store. There is no separate line just for pick up order like other ulta's have. Picking up my order took about 30 minutes because of this. I noticed that some customers became frustrated and walked. The cashier was doing her best to manage the line. I noticed other staff present in the store but not one came to help her with the line. I'm avoiding this location in the future. read more

I tried returning the two jars (I wanted to really give the cream I bought a fair shot to work) that I purchased because it didn't work. I saw no change in my skin. An Ulta cashier had told me that I could return it if it didn't work no questions asked when I was shopping for the cream. That was the main reason I went ahead and purchased the cream. Seamed like a win win! Clearly that was misinformation because when I actually went to return it and told them it did not work for me they would not take it back. I even explained that their employee told me repeatedly I could return it with no stipulations mentioned. They didn't care or even attempt any good customer service by taking responsibility of the misinformation I was given and accommodating the refund. Instead they gave me attitude and told me I have to take it up with the maker of the cream. So, I contacted MAELYS since it's their product and I was hoping they would stand by their advertised claim that you don't pay if it doesn't work for you. Ulta on Central Ave in Hartsdale is my go-to store--not just for the convenient location, but because it's always clean, well-stocked, and staffed with helpful, knowledgeable people. Today was a standout. I was shopping with my elderly mom, and the manager, Citlali, went above and beyond. She matched my foundation flawlessly and answered all of my mom's haircare questions with kindness and patience. Her intuition, expertise, and genuine care made the experience a pleasure. I am so upset I actually have to write this review, but I am actually shocked at how my experience turned out to be. I love shopping here, the staff has always been sweet and friendly. I recently started to get my haircut here, the last time I went it was perfect. They took me right when my appointment was supposed to be, and my hair looked great. I even recommended them to all my friends and family. I then schedule another haircut appointment with the same stylist (I will leave names out, to try to be nice lol). They call me a couple of days before my appointment to cancel due to the stylist going on vacation. I said, no problem! I made another appointment instead. When I get to my new appointment, which I left work early for, I try to get anyone's attention to get checked in. The stylist I was supposed to be with, comes over and says she can't no longer take me. I was upset at the fact that no one notified me of this earlier. And then she says she's going to see if anyone else can take me, talks to the manager, and then walks back, doesn't even acknowledge me or updates me on the situation, and continues to work on her current client. I am waiting around, maybe the manager is going to come speak with me to figure something out. Nothing is happening for several minutes. I go back to the stylist and asks her if I should wait for someone, she tells me I need to talk to the manager... that would've been good to know.... I go to talk to the manager, she's really nice about it, apologized and said she was going to try to get me a discount for my new appointment. She makes an appointment for the following day and I leave, upset at the fact that the stylist tried to brushed it off as if it was not her problem, but I kept thinking "it is what it is." I show up the following day, they take me 30 minutes late, and the manager notified me that she accidentally booked me with a master stylist instead, which is an extra $10. I can either pay an extra $10 or wait an extra hour for the next stylist.... Thanks for the discount you mentioned I guess.... I decide to go with the masher stylist because I literally just want a haircut, I don't understand how this is so hard to achieve. I sit down, 30 mins after my appointment was supposed to be and then the manager tells me that if I want a blow dry it's going to be an extra $20. I. JUST. WANT. A. SIMPLE. HAIRCUT. I decline the blow dry and my hair gets cut. I leave with my hair semi wet.... $67 later, plus tip... idk why I even tipped. I go back home and style it myself, it looks good, but I am so upset with the situation. They made me feel so uncomfortable, as if I was the one in the wrong. I think it is important to note that I've worked in customer service so I never try to be rude or mean to anyone. I always show up with a smile. The fact that I was treated so unfair makes me nuts. I felt like the whole staff was annoyed at me, because I was getting annoyed myself... but I felt like I was getting f**ed over, over and over. I do not recommend them for services. They seemed to be extremely unorganized, unprofessional, and rude... and they lack communication. So sad to be writhing this, I truly loved this place. I went to get my brows done. I had been growing them out for two months and told the woman I wanted them shaped, but thick and natural. I told her this. When she was done, I couldn't really tell how they turned out because she filled them in with such dark pencil (I never fill in my brows, ever). When I came home to wash out the pencil, she waxed my brows so thin that they are worse than when I started growing them out two months ago. All of that growth for TWO MONTHS destroyed in a half hour. She did not listen to me or do what I asked. I am beside myself, and now have to spend the next two months growing them out again. I will never let anyone here touch my eyebrows again. Do not go here. read more

I came in here prepared to drop serious $$$ as I have an important event coming up, but walked out not wanting to give them my money--why? Because of poor customer service. A beauty consultant was helping someone else and walked by me 3 times (over the course of 15-20 mins) without any acknowledgement whatsoever even as it was clear I needed and was waiting for help. I didn't expect her to serve me, but she should have asked someone else to come help me. On the fourth time she walked by, I asked if there was anywhere I could get more information about the product and she just looked at me straight in the face, said nothing, and walked away. Way to go with the service SMH. I left shortly thereafter and I'm online now about to put in my order with Sephora. read more

I've been to Ulta in Hartsdale many times. I have not used beauty services at Ulta at all so I cannot comment on services. Prior to this store opening, I shopped Ulta online, or at Dobbs Ferry or at Jefferson Valley--depending upon other errands that needed to be done. They were always good, friendly and helpful. There is something very special about the people who work in the Hartsdale Ulta store. They are genuinely kind, caring, and helpful. When I walk into the store, I am consistently greeted with a smile, and asked if I need any help. Usually I don't need/want any help, but at Christmas, I purchased a few different fragrances for gifts and required some assistance and they were above and beyond helpful. Last year, when I cut my hair really short and asked them for help finding a cruelty free styling cream or hair putty, they knew just where to guide me and they gave me advice on how to use it. It made all the difference in how that pixie cut looked on me! There is just an overall vibe of kindness and caring in this store. It's as if all the people working there have the same concept of treating every person with care, patience and kindness. There is a warmth to the shop, overall. read more

The customer service was absolutely horrible I was waiting for 20 min for a representative to check for the product I wanted in the back & she never found it but suggested I order it online. So I did. I come to find out the cashier took all my incorrect information & rang me out but the order was NEVER placed. I have called 3 different customer service numbers and they directed me to dispute with my bank. I am NEVER coming here. The staff needs to be trained or get paid more. Absolutely disappointed.
