I came here for a basic pedicure. The inside is very clean the staff is very friendly. They took me right away, even though they were clearly super busy when I arrived. I made an appointment before hand, but I guess it doesn't really matter if you make one or not. For a basic pedicure they did a pretty good job. I really have no complaints. Usually when I go to a nail salon, I mainly just look at the cleanliness of the place. This place was super clean. decided to stop by since I work across the street, at 10am on sunday I was the only one there. the inside is very clean and pleasant. opted for a pedicure, price seemed fair at $25. I would've also gotten a gel manicure but $35 seems a bit steep. in terms of colors, the selection could've been better. not much opi, more essie and zoya. i picked a color initially and was informed that this color (zoya not a gel just normal) was more money. i appreciates they let me know prior to sitting down or getting it. the massage chair is notably great. and very clean with a plastic liner as others mentioned. my nail tech asked me every step of the way if I wanted nails cut or cuticles trimmed- im sure some people appreciate this but my response was "idk whatever you think". to my surprise too when I went to dry my nail tech gave me a chair massage?!! I was like shoot I hope I didn't buy the more expensive pedicure but nope still only $25. very lovely experience. however can imagine parking could be an issue if you came on a week day. read more

This update is based on an experience I had more than 6 months ago. I was quite emotional at the time and purposefully waited this long to ensure I'd be putting this information "out there" in a more level headed state. I recognize that what follows has nothing to do with the quality of nail services provided and, as such, have chosen to leave my original 5 star rating (despite a piece of me admittedly wanting to drop it down). As I indicated in my original review, I was a loyal and repeated customer at this salon. My mother knew this and gave me two gift certificates during the 2018 holiday season. On March 12, 2019, a significant apartment building fire (within eyesight of the salon) resulted in the loss of many people's homes, including my own. When let back into the condemned building, I was able to locate one of the two certificates. It was wet and smelled awful, but I found it!! With the collapsed ceilings and disastrous mess of the place, I never managed to find the other certificate. Many businesses in Bronxville and the surrounding area were incredibly generous - offering discounts, donations, and even free meals, to those of us who lost our homes so suddenly. The community really came together and I was -- and still am-- incredibly grateful for all the kindness shown to us during that time. During the stressful aftermath of the fire, I decided to return to the salon. I no longer owned basic things including nail clippers and a nail file, so I figured a trip to the salon would help me feel a little less "homeless". Plus, gift certificates meant I wouldn't have to spend more money at a time when life expenses went through the roof (pun not intended). While the salon accepted my disgusting certificate that reaked of the fire it survived, they would not honor the missing $20 certificate. At a time when other businesses were doing what they could to help, this one business wouldn't provide a service that they had already been paid for. I recognize other nail salons may operate the same way and be just as poor of neighbors as this one. But one thing's for sure: I will never return to this salon. Bad business practice to be a bad neighbor. read more

I gave this nail salon a 3 for cleanliness. Although I don't hate the results, it is definitely not what i asked for. Luckily i'm not too picky. I had asked for gel colored tips with a design. She said she couldn't do a design and I said that's fine. I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted but the execution just wasn't there. So I just gave up and said just to do a regular french gel mani and she just took off the colored tips and said just to leave it the way it was. I went to Elite Nails for the first time last week, after moving up the Westchester a few months ago. I've been holding off on getting my nails done, but decided to splurge because I was heading to a wedding in the upcoming weekend. When I got there at around 12:30, the salon was dead, and I was the only one there. There were about 4-5 people working. I asked for a pedicure and a gel manicure. The pedicure was OK, but overall felt rushed by the woman doing it. Like I said, there was no other customers in at this point and he pedicure lasted no longer than 20 minutes. The gel manicure was eh. Again, I felt very rushed by the woman doing my nails. Upon leaving, I noticed a ton of specks on my nails, like they weren't cleaned, but instead painted over. After now 4 days with the manicure and pedicure, I am noticing so many little chips in my nails! Not sure I'll go back, but hoping that if i do, I have a bit of a better experience. Very disappointing! Last Saturday I went to Elite Nails for what was supposed to be a powder manicure. A week later 3 of the nails have already started chipping. I honestly don't think the nail tech knew what she was doing. When I asked for a powder manicure she asked me at least 3x why I didn't want a gel. I am assuming now the reason was because she had no idea how to do a powder manicure. On average powder manicures will last at least 3 weeks. This is so disappointing after spending 45.00 for a powder manicure. My advice is stay clear of this place if you want quality work. read more

I noticed the technique used for the powder mani was different than my usual salon. My nails started chipping the next day....by the end of the week they were mostly chipped, cracked or breaking. I mostly hated their service. Though they have regular pedicures but they would make it like they only have spa pedicures and the least expensive one is almost twice more than the regular one. Don't be fooled! I had Sharon and every time I made a suggestion, she freaked out. I just want her to make my nails more rounded she said she was not a robot which def was not what I meant! This was the worst nail salon in the area, which is surprising because it's supposed to be an expensive area. The only reason why I am giving it a 1 star is because it was clean, but the lady doing my nails did a terrible job. She cut me and did a terrible job when I asked for her to do French. The chair was also broken so she asked me to move up which was so uncomfortable for me being my belly was in the way. Common courtesy would be to move me to a working chair especially because I'm pregnant not me having to move to accommodate her. Once I saw how badly she did my toes, I told her I didn't want French on my nails. The lines were uneven and it looked like a kid painted my toes. I told her to fix it, but she kept making it worse and it just kept taking so long. My nails were also terrible, it had lumps and particles of dust and she kept painting over them adding more polish instead of redoing it. I finally made it here!!! I had a gel manicure and a regular pedicure with Sharon , she was GREAT!!!! Elite has the latest in technology from the pedicure tubs where they use plastic liners ( less germs to fester in the tubs) to the uv lights that cover your nails as opposed to your entire hand and a ton of nail polish colors to choose from. It is a very colorful and calming atmosphere all at the same Time. I also treated myself to a 15 chair massage and that was the icing on the cake !!!! After a stressful week, I looked forward to visiting Elite Nail Spa, as I enjoyed a manicure that I had in the past. Today I went in for a pedicure and was welcomed with enthusiasm. I decided on a Cucumber Spa Pedicure, in which I was not disappointed. Olga took great care and paid attention to detail, which are important to me. Towards the end of my service, two of the owners walked in, one older male and a short female. The woman walks in and greets the customers, but barely glances in my direction. There were only about 4 of us in there. She walks directly to Olga, who is finishing up my pedicure, leans over and gives her a stern look then walked back to her station. Olga continued the job, but you could feel the energy shift in the salon. When I went to get money from the atm, the male owner decided to hover over my right side, then "discretely" jumps in front of me to grab the receipt from Olga. The end of my visit was not a good one, so I won't waste time in returning. It's sad because I really enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere that was there prior to their arrival... The most rushed and lazy pedicure I've ever gotten. It was empty when I walked in and explained that it was my wedding this weekend so I wanted to spend some time picking the perfect color. I even showed them pictures and names of the OPI colors that I had found and liked (which they didn't have). I will preface this by saying that this is a brand new salon, high end if you will, so naturally, it is immaculate. Now, on to the review. This past Friday, my friend and I decided to give this new salon a try. The low down is that we both spent quite a bit of money to only end up with chipped polish on both fingers and toes! I opted for a regular mani and the peppermint pedi and she, a gel mani & gel pedi. Although I tend to zone when I'm pampering, I had to ask the woman if she had filed my toenails. I maintain my toes in between pedis so I couldn't really tell, but you know when you know, right? The service was meh. My friends gel mani & pedi took a little longer than it should have...part of the reason for getting gel is no drying time, hence you are done sooner. On Sunday, I noticed a huge chip on my nail. Pissed, I removed the polish and applied a clear coat as I did not have time to color polish. Chipped polish on fingers & toes a total of 5 days later on both of us is unacceptable. I am not impressed with this nail salon. I have no problem paying for great service. However, service here was basic & they try to push the pricier services on you. I can read, I've been getting mani & pedis for over 20 years so thanks, but no thanks. For the vibe they try to set and the prices, I wanted to suggest a glass of bubbly or even a cup of tea would have been nice gesture. Perfect your craft so polishes last longer and perhaps invest in quality nail dryers, such as the LED dryers, which I truly believe help "cure" the polish and give it a bit more staying power. Horrible!!! I am just so disappointed in this Nail Salon. I called a week prior to my appointment an schedule and when I get to the place at 10 AM sharp which was my scheduled appointment time, I wasn't even written down in the appointment book. It was an appt. for 2 and the 2nd employee showed up 30 minutes late to begin on my friends feet. I basically paid $50 for a polish bcz they didn't cut any cuticles, work the bottom of my feet or buff my nails properly. My friend was charged $125 and her get set was a DISASTER! Uneven nails, nails filed so low they had to re-do the gel on 2 of her nails 2x! And the weren't filed right. The 2 ladies there were working together doing one persons nails and the job still took longer than average and was done correctly. Had the told me from the beginning that they don't do acrylic fillings I would have not wasted my time. But instead they lured me there only to be let down and only half of what I wanted done. The technicians don't speak English, which is fine under normal circumstances, but when you're incorrectly billed ONE THOUSAND dollars, you better speak English to fix the credit card system. The woman asked for my credit card to pay (I've been to this place many times and never had an issue) swiped it, then she checked the bill to see the incorrect price. Took a good 20 min to have my purchase voided by a woman working in the next store over because all the ladies in the salon had poor English skills to work the pos system.
