I've been twice over the course of a few months. The first time I was ignored and the employees blatantly went to other people that came in after me while I needed actual help. I was so bothered by this I called and the manager asked me to come back so I did about a week later. Both the male and female managers remembered who I was and he called the general manager from back in her office and she ignored me again!!! This place is racist and needs to be shut down. I am an avid Ulta customer. I recently moved from Buckhead to Powder Springs and visited this location for the first time last week. The service was absolutely horrible. The woman acted like she couldn't be bothered with my questions, kept walking while I was talking and blatantly ignored me when I had a follow up question. I booked 3 days in advance for a wedding event on a Sunday. Very pleased to find they were open on Sundays. Stylist didn't get my hair clean with one shampoo and proceeded to cut and style my hair. I'm white with blonde oily hair. One shampoo just doesn't cut the grease. I should have spoken up, but I'm not the trained professional. I asked for 1 inch off, she took 1/8th of an inch off. The style was good, she put curls in and they turned out nice, but the dirty hair was lackluster. I also booked a strip eyelash application and the makeup artist who was booked to do the job blew me off with another guest who showed up for a full face makeup. My eyelashes would have taken 2 minutes. I would do them myself but I'm blind in my right eye and wear reading glasses so I can't see well enough to do something like eyelash application. My appointment was made 3 days in advance with her. Her makeup appointment was booked that morning. I was made to wait and after 45 minutes ticked by, I went to the manager and complained and left with no eyelashes applied. Very disappointed with this store. Will not return. read more

I've been to this hiram location numerous times and I have never gotten this type of customer service in a very long time. I have asked multiple ladies when I go into ULTA for help and some of them show me the product and leave. But this particular nice lady name Catherine (Cat) showed more than I could've asked for. She wasn't just friendly but very patient. I mentioned to her that I wasn't into makeup much but she showed me all the tricks to be able to not just look beautiful but feel beautiful aswell not with all the glamour makeup. I want to say thank you Cat for taking the time to sit with me and explain how the process of makeup works. I greatly appreciate you, and because of you I will be back. read more

I was referred to Monique in the Hiram Ulta Salon by my sister in law. She had a cut, color and a blow out, I had highlights and a cut. Both of us could not have been happier! I have very fine hair with not near enough and my sister in law is African American who has very tight, kinky, crazy thick hair textured hair. We are polar opposites but she had us both swinging our hair from left to right. Her consolation was the best part because I wasn't certain what I wanted but I knew I wanted a change. She asked all the right questions and left me looking and feeling good! My husband loved it! The whole experience was great I can't wait to Go back! I will be asking for an Ulta gift card for Christmas for sure! read more

I LOST MY HAIR I literally am devastated.They over processed my blonde hair and now it's short below my ears. Anything that was not close to my scalp literally broke off leaving almost BALD !!! It happens back in January and then they closed for four months leaving me no refund and no recourse. I realize due to Covid-19 they closed but all my hair is gone. I have so little hair they can not even put in hair extensions to tide me over until my hair grows back I. A few YEARS !!!! Also additionally I had purchased around 200$ worth of product I was never able to get returned because after covid spite my trying to bring them back and tell them they ruined my hair and made me bald and depressed and appalled the manager told me it was to long and refused the return. There also a bunch of rude people. I did not care for there customer service folks before covid and I certainly don't now and that has nothing to do with the fact that they were in my hair. They simply all CAN NOT BE BOTHERED. They act like there better than you. Know more and treat you like an idiot for asking questions. I will drive to CARTERSVILLE to avoid the store right up the road from me. Also everyone tells me they no longer use the Hiram store for the same reasons and begged and pleaded with me to post a review so here it is. Lastly I did go in today to exchange an online purchase. It was a Kat Von D base color for a darker color. They were rude to me about asking if there were any free items with any purchases. I was told that they get them on Sundays and I'm only eligible because their first come first serve. The lady literally said if you don't make it in time you won't get one in a very nasty tone like I had no chance. The lady at the register did not know how to do an even exchange and almost refused to do so because apparently the online receipts are not available in stores. I said well what can I do. She called the manager who then went to work on it but then I remembered I have an online login it baffles me that people that work at the store don't realize that there's a way to get the receipt if you purchase some thing online simply by logging in. I was also very rudely told that I would be covering the difference because I got the $34 make up online with a coupon and it was $37 in the store... I said well I don't have half my hair because of the store so you might as well fleece me for a couple of dollars rather than letting me use the 25% off coupon that's currently available for an exchange I guess! With short notice I decided I wanted to get my hair cut and wanted to go blonde from a dark blonde/light brown shade. I called and made an appointment for the same day with Missy. When I arrived it was a little busy (it was a Saturday afternoon), I was immediately offered a bottle of water and was made aware of the wait time. Again, with it being Saturday it was busy, but they were more than apologetic about the wait time and even gave me a little goodie bag of samples as an apology. Missy was amazing, her work turned out beautifully, I love my blonde hair! She was very informative and absolutely knew what she was doing! I went to the salon wanting a simple "poof" at the top of my hair for a special occasion. I agreed to have it set with rollers as I knew it would give it more body and last longer. I agreed to try something different and see if I liked anything. The stylist kept trying to do an updo and I suggested a half up / half down. Nothing was working. I told her I wanted to keep at least part of my bangs down. She then started to tease for the "poof" that I originally wanted. Suddenly stated that SHE didn't like it and said "I'm going to give you beach waves." curled it a little and was done. 2 hours and $42 wasted! There was so much product in my hair that it wouldn't even hold curl - which usually isn't a problem. Lesson learned!! Never go back!! read more

I will not be returning to this salon. Ulta is usually my go to for haircuts but I have had two bad experiences at this location where my hair wasn't even. My most recent cut she was a sweet girl but just kept cutting my hair shorter and shorter on one side trying to "fix it". Now the hair on my right side of my face is longer than the hair on the left side of my face. I have to tilt my head to the left to make it look like it is actually even. Now that I spent $55 for a haircut that I hate every time I look in the mirror I don't have the money to pay someone else to fix it. My daughter did indeed want some help with her makeup purchase. They didn't have the hair accessories I was looking for. Worst $100 spent for hair and makeup. I called ahead of time to schedule my make up and hair appointment. The hair was scheduled for 130 and make up is scheduled for 12. The first issue was when I walked in I stood at the counter where someone was getting their hair done and I waited for what seemed like five minutes before she finally acknowledged that I was there and had me sit down for my appointment. (Mind you I am nine months pregnant and standing is hurting my feet) Then the girl doing my make up had no clue how to do make up. I had to tell her that the foundation that she used on my face was too dark. Then she made my eyebrows too thick I had to ask her to fix that. Then I kept showing her the picture for reference and she still could not get the fact that the colors that she was putting on my eyelids were not the colors I wanted. She didn't use a primer on my face or on my eyes. The lipstick she used ended up being a purple which was nothing like what I showed her in the picture of what I wanted. After I left I had to scrub lipstick off and replace it with my own lipstick. I asked her to put mascara on my eyelashes and she BARELY used any. Leaving me to add mascara AND eyeliner to my eyes because she again didn't do what I asked her to do. (Again I had a picture that I was showing her for reference) When it was time for my hair the girl who was scheduled to do my hair got nasty with me because and told me my appointment was scheduled for 1 and that my makeup still wasn't done.. I scheduled it for 130 and somehow it didn't get saved that way. Which is not my fault. So she got nasty with me and asked me what I wanted done while the other girl was still doing my makeup. I told her I wanted curls pinned to the side. She then tells me that's considered an updo and that they had simply only had me listed as a thermal. So I told her never mind and to just do curls. Then she asked me if my hair flattens really easy and I told her that she would probably have to use product in my hair because my photo shoot wasn't for another three hours after getting my hair done. She then LAUGHED at me and with a snooty attitude said "the only reason I'm asking is because I need to know what kind of iron to use on your hair". I'm not a stylist, how am I suppose to know this? But that still does not deem her laughing at me. She had a nasty attitude the whole time. When I got ready to leave I told the girl that was doing my hair that lipstick was not the color I wanted and asked if someone could match me with the right color I needed. I showed her the picture for reference and again no one could find a lipstick to match the picture. It wasn't that hard! It was a cherry colored red! I asked if there was any way they could maybe put some lipstick on a Q Tip for me to re apply before my photo shoot since it wouldn't be for another four hours and the girl doing my hair said with a nasty attitude "we don't give out samples"...... Like it's coming from her paycheck. When I called to explain all of this to the manager, she acted like she didn't care and told me that she would have the store owner call me and I never heard back from anyone. I guess I didn't matter that much. That's fine. Maybe I should call corporate and let them know? I get the impression that people just don't care about their work. They don't get paid enough to care what they do and honestly that's not my problem. Next time I'll take my hundred dollars and go to a different Ulta or go to an actual salon. So I have been getting eye lash extensions for idk about a year now (at a place I probably shouldn't of gone to in the first place). BIG MISTAKE! It took out all my lashes...so while trying to grow them back I went to the ULTA in Hiram to get the false lash strips. Yea well this girl (talking about me) had no idea how to apply them. ASHLEY MORGAN came to my rescue and taught me how to apply them. Step by step with all the patience! After me trying to apply them on myself I well made a mess of my face before going back to work. She took the time to clean up my eyes and face! I will totally go back and ask for her with any of my needs! I am already looking forward into booking a facial with her!!! read more

This was the worse experience I have ever had in an Ulta store. Not one of the employees offered to help me with my selections. Actually no one acknowledged I was even present. Employees walked past me and never said a word. I had to find an employee to see if they had a product that was empty on the shelf. When I went to check out, one employee was on the phone with a customer and there were 2 other people, one being an employee, talking very loudly about a trip or something. The employee having the conversation never even asked if I needed help. The employee finished the phone call and proceeded to check me out. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was one of the people having the loud conversation. She didn't immediately stop her conversation to address the concern. I then got a lame apology of I didn't see you etc. When I expressed how bad my experience was there was nothing. Once I checked out with my purchase of several hundred dollars, I said thank you to the cashier who said have a nice day. Why the heck am I thanking her. I will NEVER step foot in this store and will be calling their corporate head quarters also. read more

I had a keratin treatment and hair cut. Paid over $200. I had 9 inches cut from my hair. The woman that cut my hair was very sweet, I just don't think she knew how to cut what I wanted. The right side was longer and my hair looked chopped up. The keratin treatment didn't take, I was informed by the salon I went to to have my hair fixed, that she probably heated my hair too much. I spent all that money for nothing. I contacted the manager and she said she would cut my hair and give a protein treatment. I tried to arrange time but my schedule didn't work. I went to the store for refund, I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. I have called ulta customer care/support 3 times now, I was told a manager/coorporat would call me in 48 hours to work something out. It has been 5 days.
