Hi, my name is Jeff. I just had to say something because I am a Doordash delivery guy I go into ultra beauty quite a bit the manager there seems to be nice but this past visit was unbelievable rudeness through the roof. There was three women on staff they knew I was standing there cause I had my Doordash bag to pick up some items. One person didn't even say hey welcome I'll be right with you. They just ignored me and then I'm steaming. The steam is coming out of my ears and then I say hey come on help me still got ignored finally after 25 minutes. The manager came over and I said hey where am I supposed to stand even though she knows me from seeing me she gave me some attitude. It wasn't busy in the store, but they knew when you're walking in the door there's a spot that Doordash stand and she said well they couldn't see you. I'm telling you I'm never having life. They just lost 20 customers plus because I'm passing the word out about this so all people that I know that shop there are going to tell their friends it used to be a nice place to shop now the staff thinks they're better than other people that's how they come across but they don't say like oh welcome or thank you for shopping here they've become so complacent. They don't realize that they're not doing what they used to do. Very upset. I still am upset about it. read more

Avoid this location at all cost. Manager Julianna is unfortunately incapable of managing issues. My return was messed up , I asked for a store credit was told no problem,then my money was sent to a card I do not have. Julianna confirmed this was a mistake on the store not my end, but kept reiterating she couldn't fix it either! So I'm out money and best she could do is say she's sorry. read more

This past weekend while shopping in the Holyoke area we decided to stop in at this Ulta location to peruse through their store. When we walked in we were excited to see the amount of amazing products they had and my partner was happy to see the great variety in selection. The men's section at this store was incredible. I spent a while looking through their colognes, and I had the urge to walk out with a few different bottles. The only issue that we had at this store was that the employees were not receptive and didn't greet us or assist us. In the end we didn't purchase anything because we couldn't find anyone to help us. That being said, the next time we come back we will pack our car with items! read more

I'm typically a Sephora girl but have been to this Ulta (and only this Ulta) the past 3 times I've needed to re-up on beauty goods simply because I don't want to deal with mall parking. That said, the employees are cool, if not aloof, until they ring you up and try to get your phone number. When you say "no", their attitudes turn for the worse and then they threaten, "if you don't give us your number, you won't be able to make Returns!" It's happened each time I've been in and with different employees. So much so that today I reached out to corporate who sent me the following message: "So sorry you had this experience, (my name)! While our rewards accounts make it easier to shop and complete returns, you're not required to provide this information to purchase with us. As long as you have the receipt, you can complete the return." All that to say, the employees here are lying creeps. Do not give out your protected, personal information to ANY corporate entity "just because" (all they do is resell your info, spam you, then target you with products). Your Transaction with this store begins and ends with you paying money for the products they sell. DO NOT give your name/number/DOB,etc just because some weird manager has convinced a bunch of 20 year old girls to manipulate you into it. This is NOT Ulta's corporate policy. I will be reporting this store to the BBB and have already requested that cooperate check in on the managers here to reiterate their problematic and bizarre lies about (fake) policies. If they weren't using your info for sinister reasons, they wouldn't feel the need to lie and go against official policy. It's creepy. Stick with Sephora. They execute the concept of a beauty store much better and aren't shady. I will never shop here again. read more

If you are going to this Ulta, make sure you know what you want and know where it is. Customer service is not a concern for the staff working here. The woman at the register was rude and decided to answer the phone while ringing up my purchase without even saying anything. It took 10 minutes to check out since someone had to walk up with her code numbers for a discount and clearly took her time. Was thinking about just walking out and probably should have instead of spending almost $100 here. Maybe they can hire people that are interested in working. read more

My one stop beauty shop!!!! If u are a beauty junkie or a makeup artist than this is the place to buy from! You can walk in and fine everything from high end products to drugstore products and everything in between you can even get your hair cut!! Im a guy that doesn't really use name brand kind of makeup. i usually use drugstore products. but when i walked in not knowing where i was going because iv'e never been to an ulta, but as soon as i walked inside the staff were VERY polite, helpful, and relatable. they helped me find everything i needed and more. i had a really good experience with one of the workers. i never got her name but she had pong pink and black hair extensions. i will for sure be coming back in the some time future. read more

I live in Michigan and I found out that someone walked into this store and used my phone number to use all my rewards. Some associate managed to change all of my account information to some Dee Looez name, and the person was able to use 1000+ points, almost $80+ on makeup. For free. They have a new policy that requires them to check ID but apparently they don't care to follow rules. Hopefully your info doesn't get stolen too. read more

Stopped to buy a mascara. I was not greeted, couldn't find anyone to help me. Finally stopped a clerk walking by, asked her where to find Lancome. She walked me over to very limited selection and left. I also left and went to Sephora. Would not waste my time going to Ulta again. read more

Ulta is about as close to a one-stop beauty shop as you can get. It carries a wonderful selection of both department store and drugstore ranges of cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty products...all in one place! They also have salon and spa services (hair, skin, brows) on location with a super convenient online booking system! Everything from consultations to makeovers. Top it off with ample parking and decent coffee next door at Barnes & Noble, and it's a total win. read more

Luckily, Ulta understands to diversify their products and that's why I have to go to ulta, and that's why they are still in business. if I had a choice, I would never go. Every single time I have gone into this ulta, there is ZERO customer service. Not a hello, no one to help with the makeup, even the attendants behind the counter would rather not ring you out. I usually know exactly what I need to get now having learned from the past, you are on your own in this store. Yesterday, I went in for a flat iron, no one said a word to me for 20 mins. until I was at the counter to check out. There was one girl who pretended to be a makeup artist who wore the brush belt that i observed literally walk away every time a customer came close to her. The curly headed guy at the counter tried to sign me up with my name and phone number for some promotion where they would text me dollar off coupons. I said no thanks and handed him the money. "Are you sure?" And then went in again on the whole spiel about getting my name and number: I said no, handed him the money again. This happened probably 4 more times. ARE YOU SURE???? I asked, do you get a percentage of how many you sign up or something? He said no, we will lose our jobs if we don't sign up enough people. I said that's BS. And handed him my money again. He wouldn't take it without giving my info to him. Again, I said no! Are you deaf? We probably went back and forth 10 times with this. So obnoxious. I was one step away from asking for the manager. Then when he finally took my money, he shamed me for not taking advantage of the sweet deal. Do yourself a favor and go to Sephora where multiple makeup artists will help you, with good attitudes. If you need a product Sephora doesn't carry, order online. This place needs to fire every employee that works the store, including their manager. I can't comment on the salon services, as I would never give it a chance based on how icky and irritated I am every time I leave there. read more

I LOVE Ulta. Everything about it. This location is awful. Every time I go in most of the shelves are empty. The line was about 15 people deep today and only 2 cashiers on. People were opening credit cards at the register, it took forever for me to check out with my 2 items. Also there was no organization to the line, people coming in at all directions. When you finally got up to the registers,the line thingies were so close to the registers that when you were called to the register you couldn't get by the people at the registers. read more

I love Ulta for their variety of high end makeup and also drugstore products but I haven't been impressed with this location. I have come here twice in the past few months only because it is close to where I work. The employees are not helpful whatsoever. I have never been greeted or asked if I need help finding anything or if I have any questions. The last time I was there (last week) I was looking at It Cosmetics and had a few questions about their products. I stood in front of the products for at least ten minutes thinking someone may come over. There was an employee a few feet away doing a woman's eyebrows but not once did she say "I'll be with you in a few minutes" or think to call another employee over. I ended up looking at the reviews on the Ulta website and based my purchase off of that. The Manchester location is SO much better and not only am I greeted right away I am always asked if I am looking for something in particular. Don't bother with this Ulta unless you specifically know what you want. read more

I went to this location for a specific palette that Sephora doesn't carry. Ulta carries morphe and that's what I was looking for so I walked straight in and went to the morphe section. Upon seeing that the palette I wanted was empty on the shelf, I looked around the store for someone to ask and there was not a single employee with the exception of the cashier. So I looked around and found another morphe stand with different palettes, still not the one I wanted. So I waited in line to ask the cashier if there were any more and she told me there was another morphe stand that had the palette I wanted on it and pointed to the one I had just checked. I told her it was not the same palette and she insisted I was wrong and I go check again. Just at that moment, the manager and another employee showed up out of nowhere and the manager started yelling at the cashier, with me standing between them. She shouted and scolded her for not restocking the shelf that had the palette I wanted. It made me feel extremely guilty for even asking in the first place. Then the manager went to the back to retrieve the palettes and slammed down a stack of them on the cashiering counter (potentially shattering the makeup inside, given how fragile eyeshadow palettes are it was extremely careless). She then complained about how she had been working since 9am making me feel even worse. I will not be shopping here again. If you need a brand that Sephora doesn't carry, order online. read more

Horrible experience! This is my first review ever and I felt it was necessary. My third time going in, and definitely the last. I walked in without any makeup on, wanted to buy my usual light cc powder but they didn't have it in stock. Shocker! They never do. Anyways, I proceeded to ask an employee if she recommends a different brand because I desperately needed some foundation. She goes on to tell me that she never uses powder because she likes full coverage on her face and starts walking away. Not what I asked for but ok. The impression I got was that she was clearly judging my poor complexion and didn't want to help me to begin with. So I just walked out, empty handed, feeling frustrated and ugly. This place is TERRIBLE for makeovers, DO NOT GO! i scheduled my prom makeover here and ended up leaving with an unfinished look, eyeliner that was too thick and too much for my face (also the woman doing my makeup could not get that "winged look" so i ended up with a smudged wing due to this my makeover resulted in a messy eye shadow that was already too dark), and a defined contour that was not blended at all. Also if you wish to have false eyelashes that is a whole other appointment that is not included which no one notified me of this although multiple workers there called me to make sure I still was scheduled for my appointment. Although the woman doing my makeup offered to have her manager do it, he simple took off just the foundation, concealer (which was applied incorrectly and never blended) and the contour. He left the black eye shadow that went up to my eye brows. I left ulta that day in tears. Would never go there again for a makeover. read more

Ultra has great deals, but this store's customer service from management down is a disaster. My daughter stopped in to get her free birthday gift. The girl at the register was new and could not get her membership to come up with her card and phone number at first, then rang up our two items we purchased, but didn't get her birthday surprise. While we were still standing at the counter, the manager who was waiting on another customer returning items, tells our sales clerk (it was her first day) to go punch out, that she would come over. The girl left and we waited. We told another sales clerk we needed to leave for reservations. She responds by telling us she just turned 18 and got a whole bunch of piercings that upset her mother. It was her third day. Still waiting, the manager took a phone call about an online deal (the other clerk could not handle it) then walks right past us to start talking to 2 other employees at the end of the counter. I had to interrupt her to ask if she could she take care of her customers before her management duties? 25 minutes with one person in line. Absurd. No one is trained and the manager is the worst. read more

I love that they carry both drug store products, and higher end beauty products. They always have a nice selection of brands to choose from and never seem to be out of stock on items. I haven't tried the brow bar/salon yet but it looks nice. Only reason I gave this place four stars is because the employees aren't friendly at all and don't greet you; they will follow you around though without a saying a word. read more

This review is for the Beauty Salon within Ulta Beauty for the Holyoke location. When I first called to schedule a makeup application appointment for Sunday morning, the person seemed a little unsure of what to do. She said that Alyssa, the person who normally does makeup application was not available until later in the day, which was not going to work for me. She scheduled me with someone else and said that she would call that person to make sure they were available and would call me back to confirm the appointment. I never received a confirmation call. Saturday afternoon, I received a call from Gina who asked me about my appointment and the conversation I had the previous day. I told her what happened and that I never received a confirmation call. She said that was handled improperly and because of the poor service, she spoke to Alyssa and Alyssa agreed to come in at 10:00AM Sunday morning to do my makeup application, before the store even opened for the day. When I went in, both Alyssa and Gina were there and greeted me with a smile and positive attitude. It was such a great experience. My makeup looked flawless!! I was so please with how it turned out! I am so grateful to Gina and Alyssa for going out of their way to help me. I will surely use their services in the future and will DEFINITELY recommend them to others. read more

Amazing great deal at Ulta for first time clients brought me here but the best haircut from stylist Lindsey will keep me coming back. I have very fine straight hair and the cut she gave me gives my hair great body. Her color skills were amazing and my blond hair has never looked so amazing. I will definitely be back! read more
