Every time I come in, she perfectly touches up my roots, refreshes the color on my ends, and even gives me a beautiful blowout at no extra charge -- even when I don't ask for it. Lynda had been to the salon a few times since and her observation was all the stylists do a great job. This past weekend I summoned my nerve and phoned for an appointment and was met with "can you be here in 10 minutes?" I hustled right over. And as luck would have it my stylist was Larissa as well. NEW BOGUS FEE - is now added on to ALL services. As a "service fee"...beware of this! They add it on without your knowledge. Sure enough, she ended up chopping off way too much length and leaving it completely uneven on one side. Maybe actually take care when you're trimming somebody's hair instead of having multiple conversation conversations while doing this? On top of it and the stylist have an attitude. They told me I should've said something before I left the salon. I literally got pushed out saying it's really pretty now you can leave and look good. No one measured anything after the cut, which is what I'm used to every hairstylist. I've met till now has always measured both sides of my hair before I've gotten up from the chair.

Went to Great Clips in Indian Land, a walk-in and appointment operation. Had two haircuts and a very young girl, fresh out of beauty school, did not understand cutting men's hair. She spent a long time with a comb and scissors, incrementally removing hair. Not good. The other occasion was with an aggressive lady who might have done well in-processing basic military trainees. Went to Super Cuts, next to our local Publix grocery store. So far two barber experiences and both were excellent. They first ask what clipper guide I preferred and how did I want my hair to look like. They also asked if I wanted my eye brows trimmed, yes, and they automatically trimmed ear hair inside and out. Thorough job. Received two excellent haircuts from two nice people. I want to try a few more of the barbers there in case one that I like is not there. The shop is clean, clean, clean, constantly being swept. Prices are a bit higher than Great Clips, but reasonable. As a senior I paid $23 and tipped. I will stick with this location and recommend it to you.
