I went in store yesterday and Gabby was absolutely wonderful in helping me find everything I needed in record time. She had no idea that I am dealing with sciatica and terrible leg pain, so this was like God sent her to me. She color matched me perfectly on the first attempt with my brand foundation as summer is here and my color has changed. I told her other products I was interested in and she found products on sale on all but one. I was in and out in no time. I went to redeem my birthday gift today. The worker named Blair at the register was so wonderful and helpful! She showed me the birthday options and went out of her way to show me the products in the store because I was unsure of which one to choose! She made me feel so welcome & was very patient! She deserves recognition because great customer service is hard to come by nowadays!! :) HOWEVER, one of the workers who looked like the manager today wasn't as friendly as her. As I walked into the store she was standing in the front and didn't say anything/staring off into space .. no greeting or "welcome in" as I walked to the checkout line. Looked like she didn't want to be there and just bored standing there. just left the Ulta in Jacksonville Beach and this experience was completely unacceptable. I walked up to the register and the employee immediately said she was "with a customer," even though there was no one there and no line. Then she rudely pointed and said the line starts somewhere else, but there were no signs and no people standing anywhere to indicate where the line actually begins. It was confusing, unprofessional, and unnecessary. Instead of helping, the attitude was dismissive and rude. When customers are spending good money in your store, basic respect and clear communication should be expected. This is unacceptable, and I will be contacting corporate about this experience. No customer should be treated this way, especially while spending so much money at your store. I generally walk in looking extremely confused :-) that's just who I am. Numerous employees offered to help me, and when I was ready for help, they were right there! I asked my 50,000 questions, was pointed in the right direction actually more than pointed, they walked me over to where the product was. Check out was a breeze - they're extremely friendly. Kendall was the one who rang up my purchases - she has helped me numerous times before, she is always a delight - she epitomizes what one would expect customer service to be! During a recent visit to Ulta, I had a troubling and disappointing experience in the e.l.f. concealer section. As I approached the display, I noticed a woman already there, so I gave her space. However, I soon observed her opening and sampling multiple concealers -- then placing them right back on the shelf. Initially, I didn't say anything, but I decided I must -- so employees could remove the tampered items from the shelf before another customer unknowingly purchased them. I approached two employees who were chatting nearby and explained what I had witnessed. I walked them over to the display to show them the concealers that were clearly opened, used, and in disarray. I also suggested they consider rehiring security, as I remember Ulta previously had it. One employee dismissively claimed they never had security, but another, who had been there longer, confirmed that they did. I picked up the concealer I needed and went to check out. Meanwhile, the associate who was supposed to be removing the tampered items brought back only one concealer to mark as used -- even though at least ten had clearly been tested and returned to the shelf. I overheard the store manager, Asterid -- who often avoids customer interaction -- ask the employee if she had pulled all the used products. The employee falsely claimed she had. I told Asterid directly: you're selling used makeup. Another customer, who was in the store returning her purchase, said she was there for the exact same reason -- her makeup looked used. When I asked for regional contact information to report the issue, the staff stalled and then told me to "look it up online." I had to insist that they write the number down -- and only then did one of them reluctantly do so. To add insult to injury, when you call Ulta's customer service line, you're placed on hold for about 15 minutes -- only for the call to disconnect. It feels like a tactic to discourage complaints. Lastly, I can't help but think -- if I had unknowingly purchased one of the tampered concealers and tried to return it, I'd likely be told I had used it and be denied a refund. That's the kind of experience this setup encourages. Zero stars! This isn't just poor service -- it's a health hazard, a customer safety issue, and a clear failure in store management. I strongly urge Ulta corporate to investigate this store's practices and take real corrective action, from employee training to proper hygiene protocols -- and yes, maybe it's time to bring back store security read more

I ran into Ulta to make a return after experimenting with so many concealers that didn't work for me. The staff member helping me make that return heard what I said about being let down after trying so many concealers. She offered to stop what she was doing and help me find a better product. Other staff members have been nice to me here before, but she really went above and beyond! I believe her name was Kendall, that's what the receipt said, she had curly hair and glasses. She spent 15 minutes patiently helping me, assisting in color matching, finding an eye cream, concealer, and setting powder. She applied it for me and blended it, it was so sweet that she was doing my makeup and so present with me. I am so grateful and I'm gonna try these products, which I have a good feeling, though whether they work out or not I am so grateful for her compassion and effort. It was so sweet of her! I don't think I have had any beauty store staff go to these lengths to assist me on the floor, hearing me out and truly trying to find each solution for me while talking through things. I had a wax and tint appointment with Hope today, and it was by far the worst experience I've ever had At Ulta. My brows are literally orange. Not only was she very cold and rushed, She didn't listen to me when I told her the tint Combination that I used before, multiple times. She also left the dye On my skin! She didn't wipe it off at all, and I didn't even realize it until I got to the car. Additionally, she didn't even die all of the hairs, so it looks like I didn't even have a wax. So freaking pissed as I have a huge event this weekend. Her license seriously needs to be taken away be a this is the worst I have ever had. Will never ever be back. Ridiculous, I had to ask to he helped to receive my pickup order. I accidentally purchased here and the town center so I was forced to drive all the way over her for complete rudeness. 2 girls just sat talking, completely ignoring me. Then when I go to pick up my order (fjnally they've helped me AFTER I asked) I need a photo ID?? Town center didn't ask for me to show an ID. I have the order on my ulta app and they tell me that's not enough proof. I guess they saw the crazy in my eyes and the manager reluctantly allowed me to have my order. My mom and I went in to get our makeup done for my wedding this past weekend. My makeup girl was amazing!! As for my mom she did not have a good experience at all. After expressing to her artist she was frustrated and did not like her makeup. The artist left and we didn't see her again. Instead my mom had to wipe the makeup off herself. My makeup artist (again did an amazing job) offered to do my moms after she finished with me but because we were in a time crunch since we had my wedding to go to we couldn't do that. So my mom left there without any makeup. When my moms makeup artist had disappeared the rest of the staff stared at us and honestly made us feel really uncomfortable. This situation could have been handled in a lot more mature, professional way. Let me start by saying I loved my stylist that resigned to work at mayo so I had to start seeing another stylist. All was great until then. I made an appt for highlights and a cut. I met my new stylist and showed her a picture of a women with brown hair and copper highlights. She said that would look great. (In my mind I want copper highlights) she asked if I wanted to touch up my existing highlights. I said no (why highlight twice) Unbeknownst to me she was planning on dying all of my hair red. I'm not one to complain so if it looks good I'll keep it moving. Well it didn't!! The dye washed out. My roots were an inch from my hair line. I called the store manager and they agreed to fix my hair at no cost. When I showed up to get it fixed they tried to renegotiate. After a very unprofessional confrontation, by who I would assume was the assistant manager, I was mortified and ask for brown hair dye all over so I could get out of there. THEN I go to check out and they tried to charge me $55 for a "sitting fee". I have never been charged for that before. They just wanted to stick something in there to make me pay. After ANOTHER unprofessional confrontation with the said "assistant" manager someone finally came up and removed the charge. I was humiliated twice and no one was concerned. I left the stylist a $20 tip because that's the type of person I am. This store tried to take advantage of me. I will never go here, again! I showed her a photo...once for like a second...of the look I wanted. She made my hair look even BETTER than the photo I showed her! My hair lasted and not one strand ever went out of place...and I had a beach wedding! I am so very very thankful and impressed by Misty. This Ulta store is located right down the street from me making it really convenient. I've been a few times and honestly I'd rather just drive another 20 minutes to go to Sephora or Nordstrom. The store looks beaten down. Products aren't where they should be; it needs some serious organization. You can tell that the staff don't want to be there. Update on FRIDAY 8.16 I contacted the email listed below but a reply from Ulta. I emailed them on August 10th. I spoke back and forth with a representative. She told me on Tuesday, August 13th that the Salon Operations team would contact me within 24-48 hours. It's now Friday night and I haven't heard anything back. If you don't think my situation is a big deal then whatever but you could at least let me know especially when you are giving me deadlines for someone to reach out to me. This just proves that Ulta does not care about their customers experiences and their time. Update on SATURDAY 8.10.19 Called into the customer service line of Ulta on Tuesday, 8.6 and spoke with a representative. He was very nice and understanding. However, I was told I'd be getting a call from the district manager by Friday. It's Saturday and still haven't received a call back. Great! This salon is terrible! Never have I experienced something like this. I've been to many salons before and don't mind paying a good amount for my hair and going through the process of fixing my hair. I've gone through many different colors before and color corrections. My color is brassy and applied unevenly. I can understand that it's a process and my hair will be on the brassy side especially for what I had. You can see below how uneven it is. I specifically asked for my new growth to be covered because I'm very self conscious about the color. When she was blow drying my hair, I could see the 'hot roots'. She didn't cover my new growth and I had a band of black below it then the highlights. I even told her I wouldn't mind it being black/dark brown up on my roots I just really wanted them covered and have like a shadow root or something. Also, another thing to mention is they had no receptionist available that day I guess so she left the service with lightener on my to go answer the phone as well. My haircut is a different story. I asked for it to just be evened out because I had a grown out lob and choppy layers. She was rushing with the cut I feel like because it was getting close to closing time. She also just chopped all my thick hair off in one layer. It looked good at the moment because it was curled. I never really straighten or blow out my hair but I did the other day and noticed how bad it was. One side was literally longer than the other. I also asked for bangs that day too and she forgot so I was kinda upset about that. I'm usually one to bite my tongue and don't like rating bad on people. It took me a lot of courage to speak up about my hair. I called 14 days after my appointment because I came to the reality that this is not okay. So, yesterday I called into the salon and the salon manager wasn't in so I spoke with the Ulta manager. She took my info and said that she'd get back eventually. It irritated me that she didn't give me a time frame for her to get back to me. The salon manager called back today and we spoke about everything I said here. I told her my issues and she said there is nothin she can do and she would have to see my hair but I can't do that because another stylist has fixed it. After the service she gave me I didn't feel comfortable going back - it's destroyed. Obviously I'm not going to wait to get my hair done when it's uneven and I wasn't going to come back there. I told her I can send her pictures of my hair straight and blown out to prove how uneven it is and she refused. She said she is only going off of the stylists photos that she posted on Instagram - Which my hair is EDITED and curled in (you can still see the unevenness though). Why would you refuse to even see my side and look at my photos? I paid $490 that day and it's ridiculous. What I don't understand is why can't you even just look at my hair and how it actually is now? Why wouldn't you just even hear out my side of the story? How is it fair at all to just go off a stylist's pictures of the day it was done? Which don't even show my whole head. I'm just going to corporate now because this is ridiculous. Again, I understand the color is a process and I'm fully aware of that. However she definitely could of handled the color better (especially the root part) and the cut is just a mess. This salon does not care about the satisfaction and opinions of their clients obviously. I'd also like to mention that I've been in the Ulta salon at the Town Center in May I believe. I had a great experience there and the stylist was very knowledgable and friendly. It was a very fair price as well. They also had a receptionist there the whole time. This one just seems very unorganized and obviously understaffed. I'm ultimately just frustrated at Ulta's customer service at this location and at their whole customer service department. read more

My simple recommendation is to absolutely not shop this Ulta Beauty store. We placed an online order for store pickup and somebody else picked up our order. They told us that they reviewed their video and confirmed by license. Literally this was impossible as we were not there. Their advice was to call the police as somebody had stolen our identity. What?? Really??? We asked to show us the video to confirm it was my wife or myself and they would not. It was a $98 order and they told us the other alternative was to call guest services to get it resolved. We called guest services and they told us the store would have to resolve the issue. I was a patron at the Jacksonville Beach Ulta Beauty Salon, on September, to have a Keratin, Color and a Haircut. Quite honestly I am extremely unhappy and disappointed. I specifically asked if there is anyone who does ethnic hair and was assured that the young lady who did my hair was experienced in doing so. I must honestly say that the service was subpar. I was not really impressed with how the Keratin was being applied but trusted the stylist considering she represented herself as someone who has done ethic hair in the past. The cut was nothing as described in the photo I was showed. The biggest issue I really have is the color job. I specifically showed the stylist the color of my hair using a photo that clearly showed the color. The stylist acknowledged that she could mix the "caramel brown" color. Long story short is that I left the salon with dark red hair. I told the stylist prior to leaving how disappointed I am. I return to the salon seeking to rectify the issue as related to the service and the Assistant Salon Manager tried to upsell me to return and have a treatment by the same stylist! At that point the Salon Manager started arguing with me that I should allow them to fix the problem. Say what? I asked for my money back and was told I would be contacted by the GM Cathy, which to date I have not heard from. I was told I had to contact 866-983-8582 to ask for my money back. I called the Customer Service and received no callback. I called again today 9/26/2018 to no avail. Do yourself a favor and do not use this Salon if you are of Ethic origin or expecting Professional services. read more

I have visited this store on multiple occasions and the experience is always the same. Poor stock (empty shelves), dirty, and the worst customer service ever. This store is obviously not well-managed because the girls working there are always clustered together talking-not helping customers. I spent 15 minutes walking around looking for something and not one person offered to help-too busy talking I guess. I shouldn't complain though-when I have had someone help me, they often act like you are bothering them or are not worthy of their expert makeup advice. I am new to the area and I have been here at least six times in the last couple of months and every time I come in there's always a group of 4 to 6 girls chitchatting about what they're going to do after work, what they did after work etc... Today's conversation was what they watched on Netflix. Couldn't find what I was looking for, no one offered me help, so I left without purchasing anything again.
