I just walked into this Ulta and, as my first ever experience, I am not impressed at all! No one greeted me, or asked if I needed assistance, though there were several employees milling around doing virtually nothing. The store was a mess, and most everything I considered purchasing, was out of stock in the needed colors. I put back the things I had in hand to buy, and walked out. I won't be back. read more

This Ulta location in particular has some of the worst customer service. I walked in looking for the Two-Faced Papa Dont Peach blush, so I asked the lady working at the Two Faced section of the store where I could find the product, she looks me up and down then proceeds to say "we're out," and turns her entire body away from me. I noticed there was one untouched pallet on display so I asked her if there was any way I could purchase that one. While still partially facing away from me, she mutters "we can't do that" and walks away. Literally had the worst attitude and was so unhelpful. I then tried the other Ulta located in Lancaster, asked the same question and the workers happily informed me that the product was discontinued and offered me countless alternative products that had similar qualities. The lady at Keizer station could have simply informed me that they were out instead of treating me like dumb*ss. I will never purchase anything from this location as long as I live here. read more

This is a great store. There's a great variety of products by your favorite brands. The service is great and the employees always want to help. It's always clean inside. Prices are usually pretty reasonable and they usually have some good deals, especially if you're a rewards member. read more

My daughter wanted a particular color and brand of lipstick but the last one was stick in the back of the pull-out drawer and she couldn't get it out. Cappi went above and beyond expectations in trying to help her, and didn't give up until she got the lipstick my daughter wanted. Thank you, Cappi, you are awesome! Unprofessional and full of excuses. I made an appointment a week before an event for hair and makeup. I was in contact with Ulta's salon twice before my appointment to make sure everything was straight. I walked in to Ulta for my appointment and was told they couldn't do it. Impossible. They tried to contact me a half hour before my appointment on the day of the event to tell me they couldn't see me. They had two prior phone calls and a week to allow me to book someone who could. They left me hanging the day of my event with no appointment or chance to find someone else. When told why this happened the stylist said they don't have access to their books at home and when they come to work they already have clients to see so they don't check their bookings. That sounds to me like this woman needs to learn the definition of professional. Be a professional and take time to come into work ten minutes early to review your appointments. Don't screw people who rely on your professional services the day of an event. When I spoke to the manager all I was told was it's a big store both retail and salon and this rarely happens. Untrue. This is my third bad experience with this Ulta. My last hair appointment I walked in to be told that someone scheduled wrong. That the stylist never does haircuts at the time I was booked. The manager then back tracked to throw the last salon manager under the bus by saying oh she ran the place into the ground. So. Which left her with no responsibility of course. She has nothing she could do or nothing she could have done apparently. She's just the manager. She offered to get me an appointment in a town 45 mind to an hour away. Because that's practical when I'm telling you its hours before an event. No. There was no record of the three employees I talked to before this debacle. Not who set the appointment. Not who I spoke to on two separate occasions. So. I now have the number of the "guest services" and the manager refused to give me anyone's name by her own to speak about in my concerns. Moral of this sad story? Hours before an event where I booked appointments with would be professionals I have no where to turn. I gave Ulta the benefit of the doubt after several bad encounters. But this happens rarely. I will not be returning. Even Salem and Keizer has to have somewhere better to turn to. One star because you can't leave zero. read more

False Advertising!! Went into Ulta in Keizer Station to purchase face primer and on my way to the register I noticed an urban decay end cap that had only one big sign that said 50% off. The only two items on the shelf were a highlighting pallet and an eyeshadow pallet. I thought what a great deal so I looked to see if there were any little individual signage that would have indicate pricing other than the large sign but there wasn't. So I intended to buy 2. When I got to the counter they definitely were not 50% off. I showed the cashier Angelica, a Hispanic girl with long dark hair the signage that said 50%. She said the item that was 50% sold out and that sign should have been taken down. She said that whoever set up the shelf shouldn't have put them there. At no point did she offer to honor what they are advertising or call the manager. Maybe if there were only one or two pallets in front of the sign then you could consider it a mistake but because they had a large stack of each pallet directly in front of the 50% sign it was clear that they meant to place the item in that spot. If you advertise a product like that in front of that type of signage without a single tag representing the item on the shelf in any way it should be honored because that is what was advertised. Otherwise it's false advertising. Keep in mind I didn't even go into this store for a pallet. I left without buying a single item and will shop at Sephora from now on. From looking at how many stars this store has it makes perfect sense why. read more

Sadly this ulta is not like the rest. Very messy and unorganized with most of the products never on the shelves. The employees were not eager to help, did not want to answer questions and when checking out the lady was so unpleasant I almost wanted to walk out. Was not greeted upon entrance, simply stared at. I asked for a tester brush over 30 minutes before close, and was told that the brushes were already cleaned, so she could not let me use one. I was CLEARLY being followed around the store and stared at for some odd reason. And by "odd reason" I mean that they obviously profiled me and assumed I was going to steal something. It could be because I am African American, or it could be because I am in my mid 20's but regardless, the behavior displayed by these employees truly hurt my feelings and made me very uncomfortable. From Sephora, to Bobbi brown, to Lancome, I have been in the cosmetic retail industry for about 5 years now. This made it very easy and clear to me that I was being watched and followed. At 8:59, on my way to the register, I hear an employee yell "There's no customers, right?!" I then hear another employee yell "No that one girl you helped is still here!" I will NEVER go to this Ulta again. I was simply passing through on my way home from a business event and decided to stop by because I had been driving for so long.. Big mistake. Sephora, Macy's, Nordstroms, EVEN YOUR LOCAL DRUG STORE.. All better options and better service. read more

At Ulta Beauty last Sunday I had a terrible experience. My appointment was for color and cut hair and Emma did it and when through instead of soft beige blond I came out with dark roots still and really dark back of my head and around my face! I then asked her what volume peroxide she used and she said 20 volume and even a first year hairdresser would know dark roots still and a lot of dark in back on shorter hair meant you weren't using a strong enough peroxide. I have had my hair colored many places and this is possibly the worst ever! She wouldn't concede she was wrong and charged me $120. And walked away. She knew I came there because my former hairdresser didn't know how to get the dark roots out. Then during wait for color I had brow wax which usually means hairdresser will wax in private while you are at shampoo bowl but I was led out to main floor and put on a high stool for the whole world to see and had someone who put some smeared cream on my face below eyes and made an allergic action immediately with burning and eyes watering! Nothing to do with waxing eyebrows. I had to go to restroom to wash it off (and my makeup) and the restroom smelled and looked like a dirty men's urinal! I'm done there for anything and that charge was $22. read more

My daughter and I tried going into the Keizer, OR store and i left very upset and embarrassed. The store is not handicap accessible, I was in a wheelchair and couldn't get the doors open. It took several minutes and finally a store employee came forward but didn't help much. I even had my hand scraped up by the doors trying to get in. Once I was finally inside, I couldn't maneuver anywhere because products and display were packed in so no chair could go anywhere. We just left instead, but getting out of the doors again was a massive challenge. This store needs to update or it will most likely find a lawsuit against them. I emailed the company and got a canned response saying they will address my issue with the local store, it's been almost a week and I have heard nothing back. read more

I will never go in any of these Ulta stores again. I went in on one day to make an appointment for my hair. I made my appointment ...the manager of the hair department said she would be the one doing my hair....maybe she thought I would feel privileged not sure but she quoted me a price of $60.00 not more than $70.00 I went in at 10 am. My hair is platinum I told her I wanted a lavender blue she put bleach on my head...I asked her why my hair is almost white now. She explained it was necessary and she knew what she was doing. She left me in that chair and kept solving other problems for other hair stylists and making excuses why she was letting my sit. I call her loud as I was covered in a purple rash all over my face and arms my head was burning. It was now 2:30 4 hours and I still was not finished. She took it off put on some color and when I was finished I had dark brown hair...I freaked out she said it will wash out to the lavender I knew that was a lie. I was angry and asked why did you leave the bleach on my platinum hair for all those hours just to put BROWN on my hair. I went to the front to leave and pay the guy in the front said that will be $174.00 I asked why and asked to see the manager he told me she left. I said well I have to go to my car..first. He said I cannot allow you to leave...I said Im not asking...if you want your fucking money I have to go out and get my credit card. Me and my friend went to this Ulta last night to get 3 things. We asked the girl to help us and asked if she would check if there was any more stock of the product in the back. She barely checked and just came out and said "we don't have it sorry." It was frustrating cause she didn't really want to help and didn't offer to like order it or nothing. This was one of the most disturbing and unprofessional experiences I have ever had in a hair salon. I made an appointment with the manager of Ultra for a haircut and highlights. I explained that I needed someone who was experienced cutting naturally curly hair and an expert in highlights. I also told her that I had had some bad experiences with hair stylists not doing with I wanted but instead what the stylist wanted me to have done. She assured me that Christine had many satisfied customers and made me an appointment to see her. When I saw Christine, she said that she could not do the highlights I wanted as she wanted to insure the "integrity" of my hair. However, she assured me I would be happy with what she had in mind. I told he that I had always been a blond so I did not want a dark color(my eyes are very blue). After the coloring, it turned out a very dark ash color that made me look 10-15 years older. I felt unhappy but she told me that after it dried, it would be lighter. It was not and when I got home I did not recognize myself in the mirror. The next day I called the manager and stated I was very unhappy with my hair color and did not want to leave the house looking this way. She said there was nothing they could do as the color was permanent. She talked to her district manager who advised her to give my money back. However, I did not hear back and so far have not received my money back. Don't go here if you want a professional, happy experience. read more

I got a great hair cut..no doubt. Although I was told my cut and color would be 60.00 I took in a color combo written down for a all over light grey with a few white highlights in the front. First she told me she would have to bleach my now platinum hair to put on a grey? ok I said you know what your doing....not she bleach it for an hour I got an all over rash and felt sick. I told her and she finally took the bleach off she told me she had to bleach it because I had dark roots...ok. well my hair color is now BROWN with a few grey high light....NOT what I asked for and I told her and she said it would fade. When I got to the front to pay it was 174.00 I was in shock I asked and he said I can get a manager...I said no that was the manager..I will never go there not even for mascara!!!!!!!!!! I got there at 11:00 and got out at 3:30 4 and a half hours of torture and I had to pay for it....NEVER AGAIN read more
