I needed help matching foundation products for my skin type and tone and I've been to several other cosmetic counters / stores to no avail. I always end up buying stuff that looks great in the store but looks like shit either outside and / or later in the day. Not today. A wonderful woman named Nora took the time to match the product and explain why one product was better than other products for my skin type. I love her. I didn't feel rushed and I felt confident I bought the right stuff. I felt super satisfied and happy leaving the store. It seems like customer service sucks lately everywhere I go, but today was different. Totally unexpected and pleasantly surprised. NORA killed it. Thank you. read more

I got my hair cut by Amy. She was walking the store asking if anyone wanted a hair cut. I decided why not get my hair cut and styled. She did an excellent job. She gave me long layers and trim off my dead ends. She was super sweet and made my hair look pretty. I sadly didn't get a picture of my hair since I had to catch a flight right after but the blowout lasted 3 day. I'd definitely would get my hair cut by her again. read more

I scheduled a makeup appointment and rearranged my day to accommodate the late appointment time of 3:45 PM. While getting my hair done at a different salon, my phone was in my purse, and I missed a call from this location at 2:47 PM informing me they could not fulfill my makeup appointment--providing me with less than an hour's notice. Employee actually laughed when I called to see if they could at least do my eye makeup up and then the manager as though I was talking to someone with a governmental agency! She could have found herself out of a wet paper bag. Awful. As I had not brought my makeup with me and was heading directly to the party afterward, I had to stop, purchase all new makeup, and do it myself, which caused unnecessary stress and nearly made me late. I believe there should be a standard policy: if a service provider cancels an appointment on short notice, they should compensate the client for the cost of the service and the inconvenience, just as clients are often charged for last-minute cancellations. This would ensure fairness and accountability. People today can't problem solve without blaming you for their failures! read more

I stopped in today to see what had in store for some repurchases of my staples. I was greeted when I walked in front doors then went to look in drug store section and see what was new. There was a male employee in the middle of the store who was staring at me from the moment I walked in the doors. He never approached me or smiled. Just glared at me across the store. Made me very uncomfortable. I grabbed the things I needed and headed to the front to be checked out. The cashier who helped me was super sweet! I think her name was Jocelyn. There was a girl in the back of the store by the hair tools/salon and she was acting suspiciously with her hooded pulled to where you couldn't see her face well. I worked in retail for many years I would've been worried she was stealing by the way she was acting. read more

I had an appointment with Ashlynne Stanley today for originally a signature cut and olaplex repair treatment. She was amazing! Listened to everything I said and asked about my opinion throughout the whole appointment; which by the way turned into about 3 hours because we changed what fit my hair in terms of treatment once she examined it. It's feels and looks so much healthier, has a more natural color thanks to the toner she recommended and also I opted to add fun tinsel at her recommendation. 100% recommended her, I hope her manager sees this as well! read more

I visited this salon for the second time last week for a foundation & concealer. Wish I could remember the lady who helps to match your color. She has long spiral type hair. My first visit was a waste of money as well as last weeks visit. Both visits I spent nearly $100 with my foundation being too dark both visits. This last visit she rushed in getting my color foundation due to another guest waiting to be matched. I understand they may work off of commission but this is totally ridiculous. Brigette in league city tx was amazing my sister has vitiligo and she took her time to find the right products and shades that were right for her as well in the price range. She was so kind from the time we walked in till the time we walked out. This ulta is usually fine, but the person checking me out yesterday was behaving really oddly. She was "smiling," but her stiff demeanor, speaking through gritted teeth the whole time, and handing me the bag like if her hand got near mine it would catch on fire was extremely uncomfortable. I don't know if it was her first day or I did something that made her mad or what, but I'd rather her just be rude to me than do whatever that was again. read more

Emily was so nice and patient with me when I was trying to redeem my birthday reward! She also told me to use the $10 off of $40 coupon, and was blue to use my points to make my transaction cheaper! I would NOT recommend or depend on getting your hair done at this location. I went in 8 days ago and throughly discussed the cut and highlights I wanted as a stylist was recommended to me, so I made an appointment with him. I was given an approximate cost which was extremely high for me but I booked. I had to wait a week for my appointment, today, and had several reminders sent to my phone. I got a call this morning stating the 2 hours they allotted me was not enough time and I could only get a haircut no highlights. I was so mad since I physically went in and discussed everything I wanted done as I have a special occasion this weekend. I was told I could go to a different stylist that had time. I told them I would never give them my money. I understand things come up but to say they didn't schedule enough time was infuriating to me since I went in to the store and discussed what I wanted. I truly feel a regular client called and they took that person, I don't know but how does this happen? Never will I go to any Ulta. read more

I like this store. It's smaller and less stocked than some others but I find the staff friendly and helpful. It's a better shopping experience for me when things are less chaotic so I prefer going to this Ulta if I know what I want and just prefer to get it ( and whatever else I am tempted to buy) and go on my way without all the hustle and bustle! I'm glad it's in League City and that we have another option in a handy location! Now they just need to hurry up and complete the nightmare construction on 45 and 646!! read more

Worst haircut I've ever had and I'm pretty sure the stylist was not licensed. I had to go elsewhere the next day and pay someone to fix the mess made of my hair. Had I let her keep chopping away I probably would have ended up with a bob haircut. My first and LAST time using Ulta. read more

I have mixed feeling about leaving 3 stars at the end I did have a great experience when I was finally helped. I come in at Ulta in league city and am not helped even though I'm looking for it one of the employees just walked in starting her shift and went straight to me and asked if I needed help she can get someone for me I said yes and I did hear her tell the other employees that were on the clock I needed help I waited and waited and no one came I was just trying to find full coverage foundation and match my color which I tried to do myself but got overwhelmed after 15 min I see the same grl that just started her shift walking towards me and asks if I was helped I said no but it's ok I'm leaving anyway she was sweet and was like I'll help you which she did and was awesome this was on 12/13/19 around 11am not busy the reason I'm leaving this review is this is not the first time this has happened if I'm dressed nice and am glamed up I get helped right away if I look a hot mess like I did that day I get ignored like what is wrong here no matter how people dress we're still paying customers idk what the deal is here but I hope the employees read this to understand that we cannot be glamed up all the time to be treated with respect and not ignored if we are not. read more

I had a very bad experience in this store. I came in looking for a facial serum. This older gentleman who worked there asked if I needed any help and I told him what I was looking for. I told him I had previously used a facial serum that I liked but it was too expensive for my budget and I wanted to try something a little cheaper. He said he couldn't help me with that because chemical exfoliants are always expensive. He then proceeded to show me things that were way out of my budget and when I asked him to explain a product he just walked away. He then saw me looking at another product and from across the store yelled at me saying that that wouldn't work for my skin type. He never even once asked me anything about my skin. He was extremely rude. After looking on my own I found the section of the store that had less expensive products and was able to find a chemical exfoliant that fit my budget. read more

if i could give negative stars i would. if i were you i wouldn't even think about wasting my time here. now i understand it's the holidays and everyone is stressed, but that's absolutely no excuse to be so obviously rude. i went in to get foundation, and while trying out sample a lady asked if i needed help, i then told her i was looking for something with full coverage, the sales lady then offered me a sample of lancôme makeup, i had used this before and didn't work for me and i told this to the sales lady. then the sales lady had the audacity to look at me funny and straight up walk away. no response, no "let me help you find something else", absolutely nothing. who has the nerve to treat a paying customer like this? and then every other associate working there acted as though i way in their way, tailgating behind me as i walk throughout the store, AGAIN not saying a word to me, just trying to rush me up and down the isles. to say the least i don't think i'll be spending anymore money at ulta, at least not until the workers learn a thing called manners. read more
