I came into this Ulta location on a Monday morning (federal holiday), looking for two specific items: Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere perfume (I came to get a mini as I'm on travel, and almost through the mini I brought with me), and a tube of SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen (also almost out of my current tube). I found both items that I was looking for, and I was very appreciative that this Ulta was not one of the ones that locks up all of their perfumes also, because that's super annoying. I grabbed my items, and then cruised around for a bit longer and picked up a few other things that I was curious about and decided to just grab them since I was already there. The store was relatively empty, so I had no problems getting around and finding things (it was also quite well stocked - at least for the items that I was looking for). I checked out quickly with only one person in line in front of me and was out of there in about 10 minutes. The employee who checked me out was also quite pleasant. Vanessa is always very helpful with her expertise in make-up that fits best for your skin type and age., It's a very well kept store and during these trying times it exceptionally clean! This review is strictly for my salon experience. About 2 weeks ago I decided last minute that I needed a trim, so I gave Ulta a call. Lori answered the phone and I proceeded to book a haircut with her for later that day. She was friendly, but made fun of my email address which I thought was rude. She told me she is the new salon manager so I thought I was in good hands. During my appt, she said, "You color your own hair, don't you?". I found this very offensive because I went to a professional before I moved here. She mentioned that she has only done hair for movies before. Throughout the appt she kept asking another woman for her opinion on how to cut my hair, which shampoo to use, etc. which seems strange to me since she was the manager. She decides to give me layers which I was fine with. She sectioned off a large chunk of my hair, pulled it up on end and cut 1in or so off. She was bragging about this "squeeze method" and how you don't waste time measuring and making sure the length is even on all sides. Well I wish she would have because my hair looks so stupid. After she was done she made the comment that now my hair looks like I was meant to have a balayage (which is was I had professionally done before I moved here). I paid $60 plus tip for this hair cut and it looks like a child took scissors to my hair. I would avoid getting your hair cut from Lori here as she is very unprofessional and seems to lack knowledge and experience. read more

Living in hawaii made me miss things like Trader Joes and Ulta. They literally opened an ulta on Oahu the week I moved! You can imagine, however, how relieved I was to find this ulta on the way to my new neighborhood, and stopped in as soon as I could to check it out. When I arrived, I was the only customer, and all the sales people were grouped in different areas chatting about their weekend and about their personal lives. I toodled around and got a feel for the store, and then had a question about a product (Mario Badescu) and looked for help. Not one person saw me questing about and asked if I needed help, and when I tried to wave over someone, they all ignored me. Finally I picked one lady off from the gossip herd, and I told her "hey, I use this product and I really like it, it works for me. What else from the line goes with it?" She, apparently not hearing anything I said, told me "Oh this is horrible, it gave me acne, don't use this. Try Clinique." It's one thing to have opinions on products but when you flat out shoot someone down on their personal preferences or opinions in sales, that is not customer-oriented service. I ended up only buying the thing that I already had, because she was zero help to me, and other sales people witnessed this interaction and didn't help, interject, or do anything. It is a mess, and I will be taking my business to sephora so I don't have to come back here. read more

I was trying on foundations in this location with my mom, and finally found my shade, and fell in love with it. I asked my mom if she liked my foundation, and out of no where an Ulta employee with short hair dyed orange interrupted and said "it looks a little too warm" I'm Indian, therefore my skin tone is warm. Unnecessarily rude, and uncalled for considering I didnt ask her. Also I would never take advice from someone with brassy hair and no makeup on. I'm not big on leaving reviews. But, I LOVE THIS STORE. If for nothing else than for the customer service. The ladies here are just always so friendly and helpful. It's not just a one time thing either. It's been an every time thing I get better service here than I have anywhere else on the island and than I probably have had at any other ulta. They've helped me finally find a perfect foundation match. They helped me out with press ons. I normally get my nails done but it's sometimes difficult to keep styles for long due to being a domestic engineer . But, the press ons are total game changer and they have SO many options and styles! They also helped me find a great line (Ouai) when Olaplex was no longer cutting it for me! I feel like a person and not just a dollar sign when I go in and it's nice to know they take the time to remember little things! They've also been nice and helpful when I've taken my toddlers in and have no issues putting the extra item or two my toddler grabs back at the register when I check out! read more

Everyone is very nice, store is always clean and very well stocked. The only thing I really hate is that I can barely get in the door and I've got people pushing sales so hard on me. Sometimes I just want to shop and browse. I also have a brain injury that causes short term memory issues, makes it difficult for me to pay attention, focus, and keep things straight (like numbers, pricing etc), ... so when I go in and have sales people constantly in my face it's not only distracting but it causes me a great deal of stress and confusion. Today the lady in the Clinique area (not the usual girl who is there), was literally trying to put several products in my hands after I was standing there for 2 seconds. I had planned on buying some of the pore filler and some face wash but I was so overwhelmed because I couldn't even pay attention to what I wanted to look at versus what she was pushing into my arms. Needless to say I didn't purchase either. There's letting a customer know you're available and then there's badgering. If a customer says multiple times 'I'm just browsing right now and checking out if there's any new product', and they don't get to browse and literally have to turn around and walk away because they're being badgered, that's not really that great. I don't like feeling uncomfortable like that. read more

As I am a guy. I went to this Ulta to get some assistance on purchasing makeup for myself. I have no idea on what to get and asked for assistance. The store associate had me look at the Clinique men line, and that she needed to go to the back of the store and she would help me when she returned. When she came back to the front and I waiting for her, she never once came back to assist me with picking out makeup. So I will take my business else where and hopefully they will be more helpful to me. read more
