I booked an appointment for the morning of July 4th. Before I arrived, they left me a voicemail saying that the appointment might be delayed 30 minutes. No big deal. However, when I arrive, I'm told that they are in a time crunch and won't be able to accommodate me. There was obviously a great deal of miscommunication and I was extremely frustrated with the lack of transparency throughout the situation. I was very clear that I just wanted to make sure I could get my nails done. Just disappointing that there was a deliberate failure to fulfill a previously confirmed appointment. If you're going to commit to providing a service, I'd recommend ensuring that you can meet the needs of your clients. Also, it's probably not smart to point fingers at the customer. The ladies here are great! I came here for my manicure and pedicure before my wedding. I loved the staff the most! Im also pregnant so they were very sweet and friendly. The location is great, atmosphere is also great - i love the nautical theme! they dont have the regular pedicure chairs, so in my current state i was a tiny bit uncomfortable, they have a large bowl for the water for your feet, very boutique-ish. The owner loves what she does! It was a little expensive for me to go to regularly, $39 for my pedicure and $39 for my gel manicure although the did offer military discount. Overall great experience, would go back for some pampering. read more

First time here after many recommendations and I absolutely love it. Such a beautiful place and so clean and inviting. I had been looking for a new place for a while and I am so glad this place is worth every minute if my time. The 2 ladies that helped us were so friendly and personable, they offered us water and kept asking if we were comfortable. The chairs aren't normal nail salon chairs which a nice change in scenery, I've never sat in couch like chairs and I prefer these to the others. They took a lot of time on us which was nice, we didn't feel rushed or that they weren't interested in doing a good job on our feet. I was looking for a nail spa salon in Newport and I stumbled on this nice, spacious place. The staffs are nice. I was impressed on how Vicky and Nora did my nails, on different occasions they attended on me and both were very particular on client satisfaction. They take their time on doing the nails and are very careful on it. I put high regards for grooming tools and hygiene to which what I noticed here and that's what I highly appreciate in this salon. I really hate writing bad reviews... but this was hands down the worst and most expensive gel manicure I've ever gotten. The warm light wasn't working the entire time and I tried telling the girl my polish wasn't drying & it looks see through. She kept saying "the polish is tricky". I don't think that girl had ever painted someone's nails before...Finally after over an hour the manager/owner came over and had to redo the whole thing.. which was done fast because I had already been there awhile. Two days later, my polish has already started chipping. And, I was given 10% off of the $39 price, which was a whole $4 off for the hassle it was. I mean, really?! Not even half priced.... My mani and pedi took 2:40 minutes and it cost $95. The paint itself seemed old, it had visible little bubbles and very gloopy. The ladies were nice and seemed to be attentive but it just seemed like they needed more schooling/practice on giving painting nails. For the price I would have expected faster service. For a place that styles it's self for bridal parties my experience was the exact opposite from these reviews. I came here before my wedding with my bridal party and it was a disaster. I called 3 weeks ahead to confirm 5 girls. It took over 5 hours to have all us done. I personally got a pedicure and it was terrible. I'm not even sure how it happened but the paint separated on my toes. They took FOREVER and even accepted walk-ins as girls were still waiting to start their service. I'm giving this 2 stars because the place is cute and the people were nice. However the services were not good and definitely not worth the price. I don't live local but I was shocked by my experience, that set my wedding weekend off poorly, given all the great reviews. I'm sure there are better places in town. read more

Was the terrible experience I ever had in my life, they expended a long time, I told they I could wait to long, they put someone with no experience, she took 30 just to clean my hands, my foot was more then 1 hour, they didn't I terrible job painting my nails and cleaning. I was in town for a wedding party and I was extremely disappointed, it is not a 4 star saloon, I leave in California and I do my nails every week I know how a good is. Don't book there. The salon is clean and welcoming, very serene and comfortable setting. I received a mani/pedi and she really took her time. She even helped me with some pain in my foot from a scar. Out enjoying the Mother's Day holiday, and just dropped in while visiting from WA. It was quiet, and nobody else inside, but 2 workers. They said, they could only do a pedicure because they had an appt in an hr. I didn't think to ask how much it was, so I was quite surprised when I was checking out! This place is an absolute gem. Vicki gave me the absolute best pedicure of my life. She is incredibly meticulous and attentive. For example, when she was giving me a foot massage, she noticed that one foot was sore. She went and got some essential oils to help with inflammation. She paid attention to every last detail. My daughter got a manicure there too. She said that the lady who did her nails was also meticulous and then Vicki went over to check everything and touched up a couple of spots in order to make sure that her nails were perfect. Stopped in on Friday with a friend for a mani/pedi before we headed off to a wedding. Our technicians were very nice, but incredibly slow -- with noon appointments, we did not expect to be there for 2 hours and 45 minutes for regular pedis and gel manis! It seemed throughout my manicure that there was something wrong with the gel polish -- she kept having to dilute it, and it took between 4-5 one-minute cycles under the UV light between each layer to "dry"...and even then, both my and my friends' nails were still tacky when we finally left at 2:45pm, and both of our toes were smudging since there were no dryers under the manicure stations. For $95, this was not at all what we expected! After debating outside and speaking with another customer who had a similar experience, my friend went back in to complain while I waited for our Lyft. The staff were very nice about it, and we were offered a percentage to be refunded (neither of us have seen this reflected on our cards yet), but for the amount of time and money we spent, we definitely expected a better experience. read more

Overpriced and unimpressed. I called to make a reservation for my birthday and Vicky was so helpful. I was looking forward to the visit. Unfortunately the pedicure was completely lackluster. The massage was about 2 minutes long and my toes were bleeding from the cuticle cutting (which has never happened before). My husband paid for the services and told me how much he paid when we left. It was $15 more than what I was told when I made the appointment. The chair looks a lot more comfortable from the picture. It was basically an uncomfortable ikea seat with your feet in a pail not even covered in water. I think the previous reviews could only have been written by friends of the workers. read more
