On Friday I came into this ulta looking for a haircut and highlights. The below pictures is how I left (pictures are taken by the stylist that helped me fix it at a different salon). Highlights were passable but took a bout 3 hours to do. After having my hair washed with cold water and my hair brushed out while in the bowl still, My stylist took me to the chair to start my cut. While cutting my hair there were two other customers that my stylist had to step away to check in. Why was no one else in the store helping ? There was a stylist next to her that was watching her butcher my hair but said nothing. Also while she was doing my hair cut I was getting a slight weed-y whiff. It smelled more like stale weed clothes rather than fresh weed smoke but still, this was something I didn't notice until after the color treatment. While shes cutting I can't see anything shes doing. When she finally stops and shows me I was crushed. My hair was below my waist when I came in. She completely butchered the cute but also why was no one willing to step in and help her? Why didn't she speak up if she couldn't do the cut? They didn't charge me for any of the services and offered for me to come back the next day for the stylist that watched her cut and did nothing to fix it. No thanks. I went to another stylist that fixed it as best she could. It cost me $100 to fix it. I tried going back up to Ulta with the receipt for reimbursement, they refused. It's going to take months and regular haircuts to correct this mess. After spending thousands at Ulta over this years, this feels like a total slap in the face. This salon doesn't care to give support to their employees or clients. Stay far away from this place if you value your hair, cause they definitely don't! read more

My experience here was not good at all. No one ever asked me what I needed. Someone did finally say hello but not if I needed anything and by that time I was done anyway. One of my products didn't ring up on sale. They made me walk back and take a picture to show them the sale sign. Oh, am I the one on the clock?! Then because of all this distraction I didn't use my coupon I had which they never asked me if I had which most Ulta stores do ask you. There's no Ulta way to get pretty than to use Ulta products, according to my Bae. This is Barbie's favorite makeup store and she comes to it regularly. She's visited probably a hundred different locations in lots of different states, and thinks the Oklahoma City one was really good. There were cute people inside and she found a couple of good deals and bought a couple of things. She's definitely a fan of Ulta and a lot of their products, and some of their prices if not others. i usually love this store but i had to return 3 different tinted sunscreens from my online order i got that made me look like trump's sister, mother, and cousin after i put my foundation in the "find my match", one of the products isn't even sold in the store and i always get anxious returning things for this exact reason. after leaving the register i can hear the sales associates talking shit about looking at the shades to get my right color as if i didn't. returning items that don't work shouldn't be judged on especially when im apologetic for inconveniencing you as if that wasn't part of your job as a former sales associate in the industry. read more

I went to get a nail polish in a light pink around just less than 6 minutes till closing. I knew what I wanted, so when the manager was at the door telling people when they closed, I thought they would be okay with me knowing the product I wanted; just needing the location. I need UV gel polish in light pink. They took me to where it would be and stated they had none. I ask, "What would the bottle look like?" They answered that it depends on the brand. So, I was naturally curious and was asked what the brand names were. I saw a pink that was the shade, and when I picked it up, it was the gel uv, just like I specifically asked for. I don't know if the manager was just annoyed with me coming in, so they weren't going to help, or if they do not know their store or products. I was out before they closed. It is always unpleasant to go into this store. I expect better from management always. read more

Absolutely horrible service! I waited to write this review, 2 years, to make sure that it wasn't just an isolated event. Every single time I go to this location I am thoroughly ignored. I am just now learning to do my make-up, at the age of 26. My younger years, it just wasn't of any real importance to me beyond foundation and mascara. Now that I am enjoying and exploring make-up and all that can be done, I go to Ulta once every 3 months or so. Naturally, I have questions and I'm curious about a lot of brands. I come in with having done my own research, but I do ask the workers their preferences. And without fail, I find my self on my tip toes, looking around for someone to answer my question. They often look me directly in my eyes and keep going. Workers will step in front of me while I'm looking or reading about a particular product, when they are helping someone else and rarely do they bother to say excuse me. When I finally get someone to help me with the one request I've come in for, it's as if I have inconvenienced them. What they are neglecting to realize is that, because I'm learning what make-up brands I like and discovering products, I am an easy up-sale. I am going into Ulta to get more make-up and learn more, so I am come in with an open mind to new things. I often leave frustrated and confused. They need more professional staff members. It's already embarrassing that I am 26 and don't know a lot about how to contour and all of the amazing techniques, but I feel almost shamed after I leave this location. read more

I checked in here JUST to leave an updated review! I normally despise Ulta. Everything looks cheap, it's a mess, no one is helpful and they are always out of stock of everything. But it's right up the street from me and I wanted a specific mascara that was on sale here, so I went. Ummm... I think they did a huge overhaul?! I haven't been in a year probably. The store was clean, the drugstore brand size was redone and looked fancy pants, everything was organized neater and they had testers of lots of products! Which you normally don't get when you buy the lesser brands. I was also surprised they carry a couple hard to find/didn't know existed natural beauty brands, the full line of skincare and makeup. I had two people help me very easily and because of that, I found a new natural mascara that I love, doesn't break the bank and I don't mind going to Ulta for! I even have my eye on a few other things I typically order online cause I never knew Ulta carried it! I scheduled a hair appt with Kimber to have my hair cut and colored purple with Pravana vivids dye. I arrived for my appt and was told Ulta no longer carries Pravana and that the fun colors they carry aren't as vivid as Pravana. Kimber told me it would be $160 to cut, bleach, and dye my hair purple, but I decided to just get my hair bleached because I didn't want to settle for a dark purple color that I didn't want. I assumed it would be much cheaper than the price she quoted me to get it dyed. I was wrong. I was charged $143, and that's with a 20% discount, to have my hair bleached and NOT colored. I called the next day to see if they would fix it and dye it purple but the salon manager told me it would be another $140. Almost $300 to dye my hair one color?! That's ridiculous and not the price ($160 total) I was quoted in the store. Kimber did a good job on my hair and this review isn't about her as a stylist. I'm giving the salon as a whole a 1-star rating because they aren't transparent about their prices at all and don't communicate the actual cost of their services. Now I have ugly bleached hair that I will have to fix myself. My two friends were going to have their hair done at this salon but they will be going elsewhere now, as will I. read more

I usually go in for a one stop shop. However, the past couple of trips have been very frustrating. I went in with a friend who asked a employee about a product being in stock. The employee said she would check. We waited and waited. We later found her helping another customer in a more prestigious brand. Never came back to help my friend. Today I needed primer. They were running a sale, buy two get one free. I thought I would take advantage of the sale. The sale was for several brands. No where was it marked that you could not mix brands. When I got to the register, they rang everything up and I paid. When I looked at my receipt I noticed the discount had not been applied. I asked about the sale and she told me we cannot mix the brands. I asked if I was able to switch something out to match the other brand and she said yes just to return the item and they would take care of it. I went back to get the item with the matching brand. When I got back in line I got a different cashier. I told her what the original cashier told me. I need to return the brand that did not match that way I could get the sale. I told her I wanted to do the two for one. She turn the one item, then tried to charge me again for the items. I told her no I wanted to take a vantage of the sale. She then returned everything tried to ring up the original item and then tell me that it would not work because they did not match. I told her I understood, that I did not what the brand that did not match, And I wanted the three matching brand items so I can take a vantage of the sale. Her response was I know what you're saying. She then tried to ring up all four items again. She obviously did not understand what I was saying but will refuse to listen to me every time I tried to tell her. After this whole thing the sale would still not work, she went back to the aisle and said that the item might try to replace was not a part of the sale. The aisle is covered in stickers that say buy two get one. Finally I just said I would like to purchase the original primer. She then tried to ring me up again for three items. This whole thing taught me that Ulta is trying to take advantage of its customers because they do not clearly mark their sales, and they do not listen to their customers. The sad part is when I told others about this experience their response was oh yeah we've always had trouble there. So I guess Sephora right down the street will be getting my business from now on. read more

I submitted an online curbside pickup order with a gift card I received for Christmas. I was having issues with it so, I called the Belle Isle station where I was going to pick it up at I spoke with a Kevin. He suggested that I cancel out the complete order start over. So I did so! It was still asking for a credit card number but, showing that I had a balance of $6 and some change still on the gift card which I did. So, I call back Kevin again answer the phone. I told him what was going on he suggested I call the corporate office so, I did that! They were very unhelpful! Kevin at the Belle Isle station was extremely unhelpful! I work in customer service and I would suggest to his supervisor to give him more training on trying to help somebody purchase something from his location rather than losing a customer. I'll selling the gift card take my business someplace else. This is not the first time that I've had an issue with Ulta. By far the most worst customer service I've ever had! read more

I don't usually leave reviews but honestly, I usually love Ulta and the Belle Island location was horrible. Upon entering the store, there were three employees at the register chatting it up. No one said hello, no one offered to help. Usually this wouldn't be a big deal but at this particular time I did need some help. No one was around except a few pockets of employees that were all engrossed in their personal conversations about kids, etc. customer service definitely isn't a priority here. I looked and looked for a person to help and never could find one. I finally asked another customer what they thought about a color match, toile it to the register, there were three of us in line and NO ONE at the register for a good 5 minutes. I am huge advocate and prior employee of Ulta. Recently I stopped by the Belle Isle location to pick up a couple of items. The customer service was horrible, no greeting when guests entered. I had to track down an associate who was visiting with another associate and seemed perturbed for the intrusion. I asked for the couple of items and she barely searched for them, they were out. There was no suggestion of another Ulta or when they may have a delivery. I will not go to this location again even though it is close to where I work. Please work on your customer service skills.
