This review is for the hair and makeup services at Ulta's Salon. I was attending a family wedding this past weekend and booked an appointment with Art for make up and Audri for an up do. Needless to say that both of these stylists did an absolutely beautiful job! Sooo happy with both of the outcomes. Art is truly an artist! His makeup application was perfectly camera ready I looked very natural, not overdone and received tons of compliments! As for the hair, I wanted an intricate braided up to hairstyle to match my evening gown, which Audri, with the help from fellow stylist, Vianey,, created to perfection! Everyone working at the Salon was so sweet, friendly, and talented I only wish they worked in LA so they could be my go to! But at least I know where to go in case I have another event in Palm Springs! So happy with the outcome! read more

I asked her to modify the look by making my base more neutral/beige (without lightening it) so my grow-out would be low-maintenance, and she absolutely nailed it. She paid amazing attention to detail, fixed a few issues from my previous haircut, and even helped remove some leftover purple I still had in my hair. I had recently moved and was honestly nervous about trying someone new. I'd been with my previous stylist in Newport for years but just couldn't keep doing the drive. I'm so glad I found her. Also, I'm not a big talker and she was super kind about it. She didn't force conversation at all, so if you're shy or quiet, she is incredibly easy and comfortable to work with. read more

Went to Ulta to get some kind of acne treatment w/ salicylic acid. Ended up getting the whole Anua Set! Did not realize Ulta sold it. Pricey but I have heard good things about the product so I was willing to splurge. The store was set up a little confusing, the skincare was in multiple places. I also got some Pimple patches and a lip oil. The staff were friendly. My Cashier was super sweet, very friendly. I believe her name was Kasandra/Kassi. Definitely will be back. read more

Was followed throughout the store and made uncomfortable. The employee never introduced/greeted herself/ spoke to me or offered help but kept following me all over the store while I had an orange ulta shopping tote on shoulder while only holding my phone. The tensil extensions are cute, but you can't comb your hair and you look all messy like Fraggle rock then I wanted permanent pink dye, not temporary to wash out in two days and I expressed that we had a phone consult. I expressed it while I was there and apparently that's not what I got cause it washed out in two days very upset I spent $300 in five hours and no one from the salon never bothered to call me back to discuss it. read more

I went to return a purchase and a female manager took over and every return she discounted down stating if it was open and used in any way, it's policy not to give the full refund even if it was within 30 days. I only knew about that if it was used more than 60% but not for even barely opened. Some she refused go even refund me despite it being within 30 days. She discounted almost every single item and gave me partial refund and told me to call if I didn't agree and they will confirm its policy. Well, I called after I left and they told me that was inaccurate, looked at the receipt on file and told me to go back and request the full refund. When I went back, a different manager was there and looked up my reciept and it showed no discounts that was there as if it never happened and it showed 400 cash refund instead of the 300 I got. I told her that was inaccurate and she said she will check the cameras and call me. I never got a call back. That lady literally cheated me and pocketed the cash. Don't trust this place. Go to any other one but this one. I believe they know about it but are helping cover it up or all part of it. Discusting. read more

Every single one was out of stock. Had not been to am Ulta in a long time. Good to see that NOTHING has changed. Dropped in here on my lunch break, and was the only one in the store with a few other customers who were a different shade than I. Just as I expected, I WAS FOLLOWED. As I perused the aisle curiously a store clerk decided to come to the aisle where I was with her headset and pretend to straighten merch. I was on my cell phone and loudly stated to my friend to please mark the time because I'm being followed. Curiously the merch needed no more attention. As i keep perusing here comes another helpful clerk. I literally told her " im.not stealing, everything is in my hand. Keep in mind NO ONE ELSE IN THE STORE got this specialIzed attention. Horrible!!! the store is DIRTY from the restrooms to the trash cans limited on applicators to try on products unfriendly uncaring staff the store is not stocked at all most of the products I went in for were not on the shelf when I asked for certain items they said they didn't have it or to check online! I am so disappointed I spent 108.00! and had to ask for samples which don't even bother they don't give you them... luckily I went back in to show my app and I was supposed to receive a free gift with purchase after given the wrong one! this Ulta is a disgrace sad because it's such a great location LAZY LAZY LAZY STAFF! Now I have to wait for my hair to grow back to try and achieve the look I wanted in the first place! My hair does not grow fast! It will be months before this can be fixed! ULTA is a super clean, excellent lighting store. It's not cramped, which us nice if you're in a wheel chair. The inventory can be a bit pricey, but you have a myriad of choices in one store. The staff is pleasant and very helpful if you need it. If you are browsing or don't need a questioned answered, they don't hover over you like vultures over roadkill. There seems to be a reputation with any ulta. I'm disappointed in today's first visit. No one greeted me except for the nice lady at the counter. The MAC makeup artist did not help me and just ignored my existence. Oh but the manager today Ali or something like that definitely paid no attention to me. Ignored my existence as well. But greeted everyone around me. Horrible customer service! Was it because I was Hispanic? I noticed a nice colored lady got no help as well and wasn't even looked at. If you want this company to thrive, you need better customer service. I do a hell of a better job than that manager. Also, the line was so backed up 6 or 7 people one register open and the manager just was walking back and forth did nothing not even open another register, like I said horrible customer service.
