I booked with Peyton, who is advertised as a "curly hair specialist," expecting a curly hair trim. Their website says haircuts start at $50, and before I even asked about a refund, I specifically asked the front desk how much a haircut typically costs. I was told $50-$65. Imagine my surprise when I was charged almost $100 BEFORE TIP for a trim. To make matters worse, I LEFT WITH MY HAIR WET. So I'm paying nearly $100 for a trim and apparently the privilege of drying my own hair afterward. If the price for a curly trim is nearly double what customers are being told a typical haircut costs, that needs to be made VERY clear before the service begins. Customers shouldn't have to find out the real price when they're standing at the register. I reached out afterward to ask for a refund, and instead of taking responsibility or even trying to understand why I was upset, the manager was incredibly rude. The customer service was honestly just as disappointing as the pricing. I don't mind paying more for a specialty service when the price is clearly communicated and the service justifies it. But charging almost $100 for a wet trim while advertising haircuts starting at $50, then being rude when a customer questions the charge, is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and ask for the exact price BEFORE sitting in the chair. Apparently "starting at $50" can mean almost $100.
