I absolutely love this place! They have great staff that are always super friendly and very helpful. Mac is coming to their location end of august so that is a HUGE plus that I'm looking forward too. I would never waste another dollar being VIB Rouge when Ultas point system is above and beyond Sephoras. They just need to start carrying Kat Von D and I'll officially be theirs forever. Having more options in the Patchogue area is wonderful, since we do not have a traditional mall near by, the Ulta is a wonderful addition to the local area.l Unfortunately, the service leaves little to be desired. I have only shopped here, never received a service. I go for the MAC make up mainly. I have yet to get any one of the associates in that area help me, suggest or recommend to me anything, from eye shadow, to make up--How do you not know if there are Parabens in your make up, this isn't your job? So does the fault lie with the inept sales associates, or at the training level? I typically do not have time to look around and I know what I am looking for, but if they would like better sales, it might behoove the company to educate the associates, whom by the way love their phones and are not afraid to use the F word while applying make up to friends and acquaintance's--REPEATEDLY, while talking about personal issues...no wonder I cant get someone who knows anything, who misses out on making a sale, an up sale, no less. I was so eager to make an appointment with the salon, and the receptionist was so rude and unknowledgeable that it completely turned me off to scheduling here. She actually said "I'm just the receptionist, I don't know anything about hair." I had no question for her that anyone familiar with a specific salons atmosphere couldn't answer. She was not cheerful or kind, could have cared less about scheduling new business for the stylists she books for and did not even say "goodbye" prior to hanging up. I will take my bi-weekly (and big tipping) business elsewhere! read more

They have great products and have very nice sales frequently. But I find the staff (cashiers mainly) to be very snobby and rude. I've been going here for years and never noticed a change in attitude. I will still shop here just for my products, it would just be a better experience if they were more polite! read more

I moved to Medford this past summer. I needed to find a good hair stylist and I decided to try the Salon at ULTA. I also wanted highlights. A woman named Dawn colored my hair, gave me beautiful highlights and gave me a fantastic cut. I think that their prices are a little steep but in the end I did walk away with a gorgeous new look. So I had been getting my hair cut by the same woman since I was 15 years old, now 44. I was really tired of my hair and the last time I went to get it cut at the "old" place the lady said, "Oh, you can't get that style, it will never work with your hair". Disappointed I just stuck with the same boring cut. The next time it was time to get it cut I was at Ulta picking up some supplies, had been shopping there for years, but this time I stopped by the hair salon in the back of the Patchogue store. I was in luck, I met the nicest lady named Jackie and she couldn't have been more helpful. I told her I didn't know what I wanted, I was just tired of this hair, it was driving me nuts and felt I was getting older and my hair was too long for my age. I told her I would just trust her expertise and let her do what she thought would look good. I was thrilled with what she did then, it was completely different and nothing I would have thought to do and I have been going to her for over a year now and absolutely LOVE to see her each time. She's always smiling, always has a good story, we always have many laughs and I'm always pleased with the way my hair looks when she's done. After the first few times of Jackie cutting my hair I finally decided it was time to cover the grays, I was worried, my hair is auburn (so I've been told). It's definitely not red, but definitely not brown. So anyway, again I trusted Jackie and she was right on with the color! Nothing in any of the premix color books matched my hair but Jackie made up a mix on her own and she's been coloring my hair ever since. I say go to Ulta, if you haven't already and my suggestion.....REQUEST JACKIE!!! read more

ok ULTA IS THE store above all beauty stores... with out even blinking an eye i can say this is my most favorite and most enjoyable store to visit .. THERE IS NO SERVICE LIKE ULTA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE TO SUM IT UP IN ONE WORD I WOULD USE AMAZINGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY THIS PARTICULAR ULTA!!!! THERE KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL IS UNQUESTIONABLE.. this store always has such beautiful eye catching displays of all you makeup favorites.. the staff is sooooo friendly and so helpful and the managers that i have come to know are amazing.. KAREN and MICHELLE are 2 of the best store managers that a store can ask for.. i would recommend this store to any one i know... last quarter i was on level 12 and i intend to stay on or above 12... ulta is top notch in every way.. NEVER A DISAPPOINTMENT AND I ALWAYS LEAVE SATISFIED...
