I've been in the beauty industry for 15+ years, so I genuinely thought Ulta would be a safe, reliable place to get my makeup done for a black tie wedding...somewhere I wouldn't immediately regret it and feel the need to redo it myself. I was very wrong. This location canceled my long-booked makeup appointment less than 48 hours before the event because my service provider was "taking a break from the industry for a little." When I asked if anyone else was available, I was put on hold for about two seconds before being told, "Unfortunately no, sorry," and then abruptly hung up on. Completely unprofessional and honestly disappointing from a company of this size. Still waiting to hear back from corporate. read more

To clarify, I want to ensure that Ashley. The MAC Artist was PHENOMENAL. However, the staff was unprofessional, unorganized, and on the rude side. It took over 25 minutes to check out and the cashier and ulta staff didn't even know how to ring out purchases bc it took 4 girls to get out. And, there was only 1 person in line and the place was pretty empty. idk-- I'd rather purchase my cosmetics directly from the manufacturer (I get a discount so it's 1/2 what ulta charges) The worst part is that they didn't even carry the good makeup!! I wanted to buy my Armani cc cream and online it said they carried Armani but when I got there it took 3 or 4 sales girls to find out they didn't even carry it. This is by far the best Ulta location I've been to. Whenever I travel to Wildwood/Cape May, I always make a special trip to Rio Grande for the strip mall. When I had my yearly visit s few weeks ago, I went to Ulta. Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. My friend needed a new foundation since the one she uses is discontinued. An associate (I don't recall her name) at Ulta took time to help her find a perfect match to her discontinued foundation. Then we ended up going back a few days later since I needed a haircut. I was lucky to get an appointment within a few hours. Laura cut my hair and did a phenomenal job, exactly what I asked for! Jacque washed my hair and we chatted while I waited. Everyone I encountered was so friendly and courteous. Such a great crew!! read more

Was way overdue and desperate (had 2 events the next day) I tried to book an appointment at Ulta online for root touch up it wouldn't let me so I called to double check. I am so very glad I did, Cherise gave me a time she could see me a few hours later. In addition to a root touch up, I had told Cherise how my highlights were taking over. She recommended a glaze to calm down the highlights, and an olaplex treatment as well. She did all three, a blowout, and beachwaves for a very reasonable price. Okay, let me start by saying that the guy who helped me today was so sweet and helped me find my shade color since I stopped tanning. There are a few really sweet ladies also. Unfortunately I have had a few not so positive experiences. One time I went in and bought a specific item that was supposed to come with a free gift. They didn't have it and the (I'm assuming) manager told me she would give me some samples. I never got a sample. Very cold attitude. Unfortunate visit today. 8/21/21 at noon I drove to ulta to get a mask for my hair to the doors being locked. there were multiple ladies trying to get in. there was nothing posted on the doors or anything saying that they would be closed. I understand we are in a pandemic and covid happens but please let your clients and customers know via door signage if that is the case. read more

I rarely to never wear makeup. However, my skin is very dry, my daughter suggested that we stop in Ulta to find the right products for my skin type. When I walked it to the store I was amazed and overwhelmed by all the selections & still had no idea what I was to use. An Ulta employee saw my look of bewilderment and asked if she could help. When I explained I was looking for skin care the employee recommended that we talk to their skin specialist, Andrea to the rescue! She is very knowledgeable, she asked me several questions about what my skin care routine was and what my goals where. I explained I had no routine. Andrea was very patient & explained about the process of proper skin cleansing , toning, exfoliating. Recommended a mini kit for me to try, as well as the correct way of using the products. We also talked briefly about makeup, since I rarely wear makeup. She recommended everybody go to mascara , and light wear cc cream but told me to do my new skin care regime come back in a few weeks and we can really decide on what would work best w my new healthy hydrated skin. I was thrilled w all of Andrea knowledge patience & understanding. I can not wait to get to work improving my skin and coming back to see Andrea soon. 5 gold star employee for ULTA!
