I went into the store today, and it was dead quiet. Nobody said hi or asked if I needed anything. I had to find a girl to help me figure out if they had more of a certain product, and she gave me attitude and was really rude. When I finally got all my items together, I went to the front, and the girl at the register sped through a spiel about a store credit card so fast I couldn't hear her the first time. I asked her to repeat herself because she mumbled, and she seemed annoyed that she had to ask if I wanted the store credit card again. I told her no thank you, I don't want the store credit card. She seemed annoyed that I declined and brushed me off when I was leaving. I've never had this experience at Ulta before. This was insane, and I can see why people prefer online shopping now and just pick up in-store, because that interaction was terrible. I'm really disappointed. read more

Overall, I had a pretty unpleasant first impression at this location, though my hairstylist was nice. I had a hair appointment today (4/12) at 11 AM and arrived at this location around 10:58 AM so I wouldn't keep my hairstylist waiting. Once I got to the entrance, I noticed that the store looked pretty empty, and I was trailing behind another person who looked like a worker and was waiting at the door (turned out to be my stylist), so I figured the store would be opening soon. Another worker then approached the front door and unlocked it, letting her my hairstylist in, but instead of saying anything to me, she immediately shut the door, locked it, and walked away, leaving me stunned as my stylist stared at me with a shocked expression. I don't mind waiting until the store opens, but it was an uncomfortable and embarrassing experience that could've been avoided had the first worker simply told me that the store wasn't open yet but would open soon. About a minute or two later, another worker shows up waiting for the door to be unlocked, and the same girl who unlocked it came to open it, and refused to address me again, so I asked this second worker if I could wait inside since I had an appointment that was supposed to start at any given moment, and thankfully, she was friendly and told me to come in. Afterwards, the appointment overall was typical, but I was still in a sour mood following the initial incident, and even my stylist apologized to me, stating that I should've been let in initially rather than left locked out. Once I was checking out, the cashier asked if I'd like to leave a tip, to which I mentioned an 18% tip would be nice. She seemed confused, so I told her if 20% was easier, then that would be okay as well. I ended up being charged $20 for a $47 haircut...it was fine but I don't think the service was worthy of an almost 50% tip. I left feeling pretty disappointed in the overall experience I had today, and will definitely not be returning/recommending this location to anyone, especially since I didn't act in a manner that would've provoked that response. read more

I would give this place a zero i'm raging with anger right now. Me and my friend went in looking for a perfume we were walking around smelling a lot of them trying to find the best one. We noticed that the workers were starring at us walking around us asking us multiple times if we needed help almost if they thought we were going to steal something. The 2 ladies working right now august 28th at 5 pm were so fucking rude had attitude towards us and were being so weird towards us. I'm actually upset and really sad they treated us like that. Will not be going there again. Made us feel uncomfortable. read more

I have been going to their hair salon for a year to a wonderful stylist but he apparently left. So after suffering for 4 months I decided to try one of their other stylists. No one acknowledged me when I came up and sat down. I waited for 30 minutes and my stylist finally asks if I'm her appointment and tells me it's going to be a while, she's making no attempt to hurry even though it's almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. I finally told her to forget it. If you don't care enough about customers to make them feel valued, then you don't need my business or anyone's Very poor customer service. read more

I am new to San Angelo and I am used to the Ulta Beauty Store in Northern Virginia which is significantly larger, however I am just elated that there is an Ulta Beauty here! In the last month I have visited Ulta at least four times and I would have to agree with the first Yelp reviewer that the staff are professional, helpful, and very courteous. I purchased a facial peel-off mask last Sunday which did not meet my expectations, and was able to return it without any problems. When I explained the situation to the staff member who assisted me, she recommended another facial mask and provided a free sample for me to try which actually worked quite better. I would highly recommend this Ulta Beauty Store for the ability to try products before buying. On my last visit I was not shopping for foundation but just happened to find the perfect shade by my new favorite brand Anastasia. The Beauty Consultants who stopped to ask me for assistance were not pushy and were informative. I was also in search of a make-up brush earlier this month and happened to show one Beauty Consultant the YouTube make-up tutorial I was watching and she instantly knew where to locate the brush in the store. My first (and only) time going in there, I wandered around for forever trying to find what I was looking for. Someone finally came to help me and she made me feel like I was dealing with a pushy impatient car sales person who kept trying to get me to buy more stuff than I wanted. She tested a foundation on me, said it was perfect. I wanted to move on to an eyeshadow palette but I was so tired of her pushyness I just said I was done so she would walk away. Another lady came to help me & she was super sweet & helpful but made a strange underhanded comment, still way better than the first one. The foundation, when I got home & put it on, it was way too light made me look dead. I could've returned it but really didn't want to go back in there. I do really like that they give the option to return your makeup if you're not satisfied. read more

I saw Monica at Ulta for a color correction yesterday and she was so wonderful. She took a lot of time with me to make sure my hair was done right. The end result went from orange and stripy to beautiful tones that blended well and me feeling confident and more like myself. She really cared that I left her chair with great hair. I was in the store on July 16 around 11-12 pm, I literally had the nicest worker ever! I don't remember her name and I don't know how to describe her, I think she was Mexican she also had dark hair and was wearing natural makeup. I came in an hour after my wisdom teeth were pulled and I looked so nasty, but she was so nice about everything and was helping me shade match, I was looking for a good ulta foundation, because my FAVORITE foundation is from Sephora but I'd rather support ulta , since they have a better points system and just nicer employees. I ended up not buying anything from ulta because I didn't like the foundation finishes, i let her know I was going to Sephora, I feel bad I didn't buy anything I would've loved to help support her! I ended up leaving my phone in the store and she walked towards Sephora to give me my phone! She also knew everything she was talking about in terms of makeup. I wish I remembered her name but I'm sure she'll knew exactly who she is. read more
