I've been gong to Ulta for longer than I can remember. Love the vibe, friendly associates, choice of products and the perfecto stylists. I started going to Kurt at the Homestead, PA location. Always a great hairstyle. When I relocated to Florida, it took quite a while to find someone new that really got me. And voila! I found Elena at Ulta's Seminole City Center. Walked in after not having a haircut for 15 months and chatted with two of the stylists. Elena looked at the various haircuts I had pinned on Pinterest. She said that she had time to cut my hair immediately if I was interested (9/20/21). I was. And needless to say, Elena has been providing me with great styles ever since (every 6-7 weeks). She takes her time, she's fun, professional and I'm happy. Thank you, Elena, for the easy to maintain and great cuts. Ulta has compromised debit and credit card readers, I checked my balance today, after opening an account and my one time visit, to find out there was a $300.00 balance!! Where did that come from? Bank tells you not to use debit cards for purchase, as it takes 90 days to investigate, to use a credit card, much faster results. BUT, I did as told by bank, and still card was compromised! I had an appointment with Christian W. a little more than a month ago for a color retouch as my normal stylist was out on leave. The time and diligence he took was amazing! Fast forward to last week and I had scheduled another retouch with him as well. When I arrived, I asked if he had time for a cut as well. If not, I fully understood as that's not how I booked the appointment. well he happily agreed and I might add this was not just a trim. I wanted a big change and my hair is difficult to do as you can see every cut basically. The precision and time he took was out of this world! I will confidently be scheduling my future services with him. And why did I wait a week to post? Well we all love a new haircut immediately. But how do we feel a week later? Only went there once but never again! My hair was soft and silky when I went there but after having the roots colored too dark and extended too far it was recolored again and more blonde highlights added. It was overpricessed, damaged my hair to the point where I have severe breakage and hair coming out! I haven't had an experience like that in many, many years. I will never go there again. Chelsea did it! The cut is also really uneven, one side shorter than the other and a strip too long right in the back! Unfortunately, I can't have color put in because it is so damaged!!! Only root touch up, deep bonding condition to help repair some of the breakage and dryness and cut correction. Definitely not there though!!! read more

Sierra and Ulta have done it again! I don't own a pair of tweezers, I have never tried plucking my own eyebrows. And why would I? Sierra is a master at her craft. I never feel cuter than when she waxes my eyebrows. This Ulta continues to be a role model business for social distancing. The employees are so cheery, the masks are on, the social distancing is super enforced. You can't even touch makeup anymore! They have taken this so seriously, and the efforts have paid off. read more

This ulta location is one of the most widespread selections I've seen! Some of the other ulta locations have smaller displays and exclude a number of great brands that they cannot fit in their space -- yet this one has it all covered. I was on vacation and needed a facial moisturizer. Stopped at Ulta as I know they have a great variety. I love buying travel size or product kits to be able to try multiple products. The woman that helped me suggested a Moisture Surge kit from Clinique which is perfect. Includes a moisture surge, moisture surge nighttime mask, lip balm and eye lotion all for $25. I should have bought more. I will definitely go back. One recommendation is to also order online as the store maybe out of some products currently. read more

If I could give a less than 1 star review, I would. Went in there to shop for a Door Dash order. I ask for help finding a product and was told that they weren't allowed to help me find anything. "We aren't allowed to help Dorr Dashers". I reported them. Apparently it's not their first complaint either. They're about to lose their Door Dash account from what I was told. Keep on doing what you do...badly. I can't wait until I never have to go there again. You suck. read more

Everyone knows that you go to Ulta for the ultimate beauty shopping experience. Whether it's every day make up products to the higher end, Ulta has everything you need. They also have an amazing staff that guide you through the endless choices to find products best suited for you. BUT.... what I didn't know was how fabulous their eyebrow service was! I booked my appt while perusing the store on a soggy Saturday afternoon. Ciera told me one person ahead of me and then she could assist me. Ciera, who also has a fabulous personality, created the most beautiful eyebrows I've ever had. She mapped out with a pencil, the perfect size, length and arch. I was so impressed. Now let's add the so-called store manager Christina who REFUSED to book me an appointment for June. I'm unsure as to why I'm not able to find a decent make up artist in the greater Tampa area. The blow out stylist at Blo Blow DryBar did a better job with my make up. (see my review Bro Blow Dry Bar Tampa) The scheduling system seems to be non cooperative and many times clients are left out the system. I tried to schedule online and never could the system to acknowledge the appointment. Once I arrived, there was still confusion as to who was going to do my makeup. I told Damaris that I wanted fresh, natural, daytime look -- like Joanna Gaines - make up but I don't want to look like I'm wearing make up. I told her to do the best that she could given I have hyperpigmentation. She instantly launched into her story about hyperpigmentation and how she was going to save me. OKAY - She pullout every Demologica product in the store and push product. The rep 'just so happened' to be in the store and would not stop pushing going on and on about the redeeming qualities of the line. I could feel Damaris compounding more and more make up on me, until the big reveal showed me as if I were going to a red carpet event. When I expressed my distain, the rep said, - I'm paraphrasing here - 'that I'm not comfortable looking beautiful' that's why I didn't like what was done. EXCUSE ME??? Let's go back to the beginning. I want, 'fresh, natural, daytime - like Joanna Gaines' look. What I got was Red Carpet, with multi shades of eyeshadow that gave me the look of a raccoon. I won't go back. Having been to Ulta Beauty in the past I was excited to see it at the Seminole Mall. I love the choice of brands and could spend hours browsing. But yesterday I must have met the rudest sales assistant ever. Clearly being asked by one of her colleagues to direct me to something, was way beneath her. After all she was wearing a white coat! She made a point of telling me I was in the way and it was obvious she had no interest at all in trying to help me. "You want that one, oh well we don't have it ". I'm a director of a business where client service is the number 1 priority. I would hate to feel one of my clients would ever be treated as she treated me. read more

I'm leaving this awesome feedback for my stylist, Jenna. This girl is the BEST when it comes to Keratin treatments. Originally, I came in to have my Keratin done by another stylist, and it didn't work out. It was an expensive treatment, and Keratins are VERY different from brand to brand, so I think there was confusion on what this particular brand needed to go in successfully, and then there was some misinformation about after care, so of course the Keratin didn't stay in, it washed out right away and looked BAD. I've had Keratin treatments many times before, and knew it wasn't right, so I got in touch with the salon manager and was assigned to Jenna. Needless to say, Jenna busted A** to make it right for me. She did a fantastic job and really made sure every step was correctly done, every single step of the way. She made sure I had the right after care products and gave me advice on how to make the Keratin treatment last for the full 90 days, and then some, if I am diligent :) Jenna's super fun and hilarious personality was just icing on the cake. She is awesome and I had a blast hanging out with her while I had the treatment. Jenna will always be my stylists so long as I live in this area. If you are lucky enough to get an appointment with Jenna, make sure you leave this girl a huge tip because she deserves it. I came into the store yesterday afternoon in search of high performance, long-lasting makeup. I was looking to invest in new products that would stay on during long periods of physical activity and wouldn't melt off with sweat and sunshine. The customer service rep, Luz, was incredibly helpful to me, knew exactly what I needed and answered all my questions. She spent time finding me the perfect shade of foundation and walked me through the best ways to use the product. So I just left the Seminole Ulta Beauty for the last time. I will never shop there again. I went in on my way home from work to replace my foundation. I finally find someone (wearing a white coat and short whitish hair) to ask for help and she acted as if it was an imposition to assist me. She actually tried to keep walking past me rather than stop to help me. I show her the box (I keep cosmetic boxes for travel and when I'm ready to replace the items) and she says something to the effect of I cannot find it because Ulta does not sell the product. I'm standing in the aisle looking at the products, I just cannot find the one I need. I then proceed to tell her that I purchased the product at that very store and she says "oh, we must be out of it". Does not even try to help me. Done. The last time I am treated poorly at that Ulta happened tonight, at about 5:45. read more

I went to the Ulta Beauty Salon for a full platinum highlight. The stylist was sweet and her highlighting technique was on point as the highlights were blended awesome, however, my hair was orange. I called to have them fix it and was scheduled with a different hairdresser as the original hairdresser wasn't available right away. The other hairdresser ended up using a level 11 gloss but then after that processed she said she didn't like the results so without asking me decided to darken my hair to a level 9. So basically my hair is now darker than it was originally and it's still orange. She also gave me a haircut for $55 and I couldn't tell my hair was even cut. So, obviously I told her I wasn't happy, but she said it would lighten up. A week or so later it did not lighten up so I called again to see if it could be fixed. They said I would have to wait for my next appointment and pay for my hair to be fixed. So... yeah... never going back there ever again. I went in for platinum highlights and ended up with dark frizzy orange hair. :( read more

I'm specifically reviewing the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta! I started getting my brows done here with Becca, who has since moved to another Ulta. Becca was amazing and I was so sad to see her go. Ciara was the woman who took Becca's place and at first I was nervous to have a new person, but I was quickly relieved! Ciara is super friendly, always tells you what she is doing before doing it, and does a fantastic job. I recently went to another Benefit Brow Bar and the service and end result was far from what I experience with Ciara. The only bad thing is she gets booked up fast! read more

I like this store. It's big and bright and makes me feel so upbeat and happy. This is unusual for me as I am not a good shopper and stores do not bring out the best in me. I like the openness of the store as well as the people that work there. They are knowledgeable and willing to help me compare features and benefits of products that I am shopping for. I came in looking for a new liquid foundation, something cheaper than YSL that matches my skin tone. The woman who helped me sat me down and asked if she could take some of my foundation off so she could put a new one on. After I agreed, she proceeded to make fun of the way I do my make up in front of my fiance. When she wasn't making fun of me, she was trying to keep herself from laughing. I really liked the foundation but will likely go elsewhere to get it from now on. Please reconsider how you treat your customers. read more

My friends have been telling me I need to go to Ulta. It's a drive for me so I was hesitant. OMG totally worth the drive. Found EVERYTHING I was looking for. Would have given 5 stars except for one of the floor staff. She's argumentative WITH CUSTOMERS. Definitely has an attitude problem. I'm originally from New York so after a few minutes of this nasty woman I dropped my New York attitude on her. Steer clear of the sales person with the big round glasses. Finally the sales person with long gray hair helped and she was a doll. So were the other staff on the floor and the cashiers. Only bad penny is the one with the glasses. read more

The first time I came to this location they were very newly opened & it was the most rude I've ever been treated by Ulta employees. Since that first visit I've been back twice, I don't enjoy being treated rudely, they're just the closest location to my house & they have fully redeemed themselves. Last visit, the first of the nice ones, I had the pleasure of working with a very polite professional lady with gorgeous long gray hair & this visit I had a very sweet younger lady behind the register who was conversational & helpful even though her shift was moments from being complete. The store is new, so expectedly it's very clean but has also remained organized & well stocked. The parking is ample & thankfully this gorgeous new shopping center is not overcrowded yet, so you don't have to park far from the store entrance. I left feeling happy & eager to return. This is THE WORST ulta. The first time I went to this store I had awful customer service with Jamie. The second time I went, I was told by the cashier Ashley that to get my full refund on an item I was returning (mind you I had the receipt with it), that I HAD TO sign up for an "ulta account". Why do I feel like I was lied to to sign up for an account... and if this is in fact the policy, that's pretty ridiculous. I don't appreciate being forced into providing all of my information to sign up for a store card that I don't want a card for. read more
