There was two people that could colour match, one of them was on break and the other was with this customer for over 45 minutes. We waited very patiently and asked if there was any other person that could help us but it was just this one lady. For 3 summers now when I visit this Ulta they are out of stock of too many things I want. All the dark colors of Urban Decay 24/7 are completely out of stock. First day of opening! Okay I am happy with this location! It's minutes away from where I work and so convenient if I run out of something it's just a 5 minute drive. The gals who work there are super sweet and helpful. Everything is super organized. As far as high end cosmetics, drug store cosmetics, hair, face care, perfume, etc. and they have a 3 seat hair salon! Fab! They carry two of my favorite brand No. 7 for face cream. And Milani for foundation. I'd always have to order online and plan it out and wait if I ever ran out, so being able to find same day I run out love! I don't like to wait and I don't like to struggle. The place itself is really spacious. Like you're not clumped in meaning two people can be back to back and still have enough room unlike most place where you gotta "skinny up" and make way for someone to get by. Clear. Great lighting. The floor associates were friendly and helpful, but in my last two visits to the store I purchased sale items which were rung up at regular price. When I pointed this out to the cashiers, in both instances they acted annoyed and announced they had to "go check the signs" (to see if I was lying I guess?) I came in to the store both times as a result of a sales circular mailed to my home. Why spend the money to solicit business, then treat customers poorly? read more

To be honest - I rarely go into Ulta because it's usually so busy... but I really wanted to try some new stuff- met Omar- what a gem!!! It didn't matter if he had years of experience or a bunch of certifications behind his name.... He was ADORABLE!!! I brought my girls here today to have their eyebrows done, and met Emily and Katrina- 2 of the awesomest ladies ever! Katrina and I discovered that we are both from NY, and, of course, made us instant friends! She did a perfect job on my eldest daughter's brows, too! They look natural and beautiful. Emily put my youngest daughter at ease and made her laugh -not an easy feat! Emily also did her brows perfectly! We will definitely be coming back here! While on vacation, I had such wonderful customer service at an out-of-state Ulta that I tried the Valley location. I brought the product that I was searching for into the store with me, and passed FOUR employees who never acknowledged me or offered help. I finally went to the cashier for assistance. Went in to return a broken eye shadow palette. Not only were the staff totally understanding, but made the return process super easy. I did have my original receipt, and returned it within the policy terms. I was looking for a new cleansing balm and the associates were so kind to help me find it as it was being promoted in the front. Omar was ringing me up with my return and purchase of a few items. They told me about the morphe setting spray holiday set, and hooked it up as it was basically a 2 for 1 deal! Amazing! Thank you so much Omar for being fantastic! read more

First time ever in an Ulta store. I'm not sure I'll be a returning customer. I was overwhelmed, ignored, and treated poorly at times. I admit I wasn't dressed up, in fact I was in my walking clothes, without makeup or my hair done. As I walked around the entire store I heard several customers being approached... Some more than once with, "Are you still doing okay?" My daughter and I were not greeted, as everyone else was, upon entering the store. At one point my daughter was juggling several items for purchase, and I told her to go get a basket. She told me she hadn't seen any. An employee who was stocking a shelf, without turning around, said, "There are bags by the front door." Another employee came over to the first one, and started chatting with her. Meanwhile I asked my teenage daughter how to figure out which shade of foundation I should wear... Neither employee stepped in to help. I ended up buying the cheapest foundation I could, since I was unsure how it would look. We spent $70, and granted the cashier was nice, but it was too little too late by then. I was frustrated and close to tears. I hope others have better experiences in Ulta. I know other stores would love to take my money, and treat me like a valued customer. read more
