I went into this store today, and the sign by the Kenra hairspray said "Buy one, get one 1/2 off $22 for one." I picked up two, and went to pay for them It rang up $44. The sweet person at the checkout called for the manager, when I showed her the sign, and she agreed with me. The manager, said it was supposed to be a certain spray, and not the one I purchased, even though the sign was righting front of several spray cans like what I bought. She refused to make the purchase correct, and instead wanted to find a different product for me. This is the second time I've had trouble with this store not honoring their signs. I like shopping locally, even in 100 degree heat, but from now on, I'm going to Amazon. My rate is zero stars. read more

I had an online return The order total was $62.05. I received a refund for $57.75. They did not refund the tax. I called the store yesterday waited for a manager to call me back. They never did . I am due a refund of $4.30. It's not the amount is the idea that how could someone not refund the tax. I was reading online this happened many times several years ago .I just spent 40 minutes online, they are going to credit my card $4.30. HOWEVER, Judy, the saleswoman who was helping me, went above and beyond by locating one at a competing store and had them hold it for me. This is a great store, very clean and spacious. Has fantastic selection of products. You could most likely find anything here or at least a solid alternative from cosmetics, skincare, face/body care, haircare, beauty supplies and essentials...etc. They carry both expensive and inexpensive items but good quality. I bought some double wear foundation, used my $8 reward and when the color didn't match, I went back and did an EXCHANGE and they charged me the $8 that was previously taken off, she told me my points would be returned and they never were. This place was packed a few days after Christmas. Long checkout lines even with three cashiers, so they added a fourth. Great deals on some items. I love that you can try out everything before buying. Even though I've given them my email address several times over the years, they never sent me coupons. Never have I ever been treated so bad by an Ulta employee! I don't know her name. she was working for Clinique she was wearing that long white coat and she was working Friday oct 4th @ 3pm. And apparently this isn't the first time a customer had complained about her. She was Caucasian with brown/redish hair. I went in to get a sample of the Lancôme teint foundation. I wanted to try it and see if I liked the foundation. I went up to her and asked for a sample of this foundation shade and she said we don't give out samples. I was confused and said I don't understand I want to try it before I buy the whole package. She said they don't give samples at that location which is ridiculous because why are there testers then? So I put it back and walked around the store to see if there was something else I might get. She followed me through the whole store! I don't know if she thought I was trying to steal but she wouldn't stop watching me she was totally judging me. I swiped a concealer on my wrist to see the shade and then asked her for a makeup wipe. And she said they didn't have any!!!! I said well okay then. And then she said maybe I can find a tissue. Then she handed me a tissue with some oil on it. Oh my god never have I ever been treated so poorly by Ulta. I am a loyal customer and never have I had a problem with an Ulta employee until this women. She made my experience so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave and not come back. read more

Love Ulta but the customer service here is lacking. I came on a Sunday which is usually a slow day but not one staff member helped me. I even went out of my way to get help and they never came over to help me color match a new foundation. I wanted 30 mins looking around waiting for help and I look over to them just standing there sipping a latte. I asked specially to please come help when they weren't busy and they said "of course!". I don't usually visit ULTA, but my daughters said there was a really good sale. I have been to this store about 4 times, each time Customer Service was really poor. Walked around the whole store looking for a product,(about 20 minutes) and no one from Ulta ever asked how I was doing, or if I needed any help. I never saw anyone actually. I asked several people who looked like they worked there but they worked for the salon and the other worked for Loreal makeup I believe. stood in line for 6 minutes as they were really busy so I could get help finding product. A young woman helped me but then I stood in line again to make my purchase of which the $3.50 coupon was no good, due to exclusions of which you can't read the fine print on the coupon it is so small. The clerk thought it was good to use on the hair product I was purchasing. NOT, I will never go again. read more

Used to be a good store when it opened, but it went downhill quick. Customer service is seriously lacking and I have a feeling it comes straight from the manager. I ordered online to pick up in store. I received an email telling me my order was placed, but I never got an email telling me my order was ready for pick up. So 3 days later I went to see if it happened to be ready. The snotty girl helping me told me that put orders back after 3 days and it was my fault for not checking my spam folder. (Side note: I later checked my spam and it was not there either) I called the customer service 800 number and the lady there told me that the company policy is 5 days and that she would start a claim and that the local Ilya manager would call me to resolve the issue. Shocker...I never got a call to resolve anything. Overall, stuff happens and I get that, but when you treat people like crap, you lose customers for life, especially in stg where word gets around quickly. There is always somewhere else to shop, so I would suggest they fix their attitudes ASAP. read more

I was getting married in Kanarraville, UT at my mother-in-laws property and needed to go somewhere for hair and make-up. I am from California so i didnt really know where to go with Kanarra being a population of 300. St. George was about 40 min away and because i love and trust Ulta, i decided to go with my gut and I made an appointment for up-do's for myself, my sister and mom. Chenelle (hoping i am spelling her name right )was highly recommended by another store gal and a couple a days prior, we met for a consultation appointment. She was very professional and thorough gave me good recommendations. She also squeezed me in for a quick manicure and made my nails look really elegant and pretty ( she did a modern twist on a white tip) I also had a simple facial done by Alicia a couple of days before and that was awesome. She was also great and knew just what to go. On the day of my wedding, Chenelle took me around and we picked out the cosmetics she was going to use (my idea of heaven having a whole store worth of make-up to pick from) and she took her time and did a lovely job. My hair was exactly what i wanted with real flowers put in that i brought. Abby did my mom and sisters hair. My sister absolutely loved her! Yes there are tons of cosmetics and beauty items at OK prices. The staff is not so hot. I've had a staff member follow me around and hover like I was suspected of shoplifting. In no way was she being helpful. It was uncomfortable when I was browsing. Another visit I had to flag down a staff member for assistance. She seemed annoyed. She also had no clue if they were going to get the 2 Anastasia products I was seeking back in stock. She wouldn't even check or ask anyone. I've had my brows waxed many times. Kennie was a true artist. She reshaped my brows to a more natural look and corrected the previous mistakes. Take my word. If a salon tells you they wax that means they'll just wax. You need an expert to reshape. After three sessions Kennie designed perfect brows. Worth the investment to attain perfect brows. Like the other review stated .. this Ulta is definitely different, and in a bad way. Im from California and was happy to see an Ulta. My mother and I walked in to get some items. Well not once did anyone help us as we walked around trying to figure out where this store had put everything. Once done we went to check out and I asked if they had samples for any mascara ( I always do to try out new ones) the lady told me not for you since you didnt buy any of that product. Ssooo basically because I didnt buy that certain high brand I cant try a sample of mascara out. California ones are definitely better. read more

Probably the worst Ulta I've ever been to. I went in looking for a new foundation to try. I wanted to be matched the first girl left to an appointment which I understand but the color match was awful. Another girl came in to help and she picked a few colors, then tried on a section of my check with only one color and was like " that looks good" then proceeded to tell me "you can do it on your own, here is the brush and foundation" all Ulta stores do my make up by applying to my whole face not tell me to do it myself when I need their help matching me still and only tried one color. Seemed like they were so inexperienced and the cashier didn't even smile, she had a grumpy look for everyone coming to the register. Overall not a good experience. I wouldn't want to go back unless I knew exactly what I wanted so I didn't need to ask for help. I'm glad we have options for makeup and beauty need in this city finally. There are several issues with this Ulta. I have been to others which are better. First they are out of many products. It is frustrating as a customer and I know the staff is frustrated as well. Also it is very hit and miss with people who will help you find products. I wanted new makeup and with so many different brands I wanted help. It took about 20 minutes to find someone willing to help me and she tried on one type of foundation and I didn't like the color and she seemed offended and walked away when I asked for another option. Since our city only has a small Dillard's makeup counter and Ulta and I wanted a new brand, I gave in and paid to have someone help me try new colors. I'm not sure if this is common to have to pay $40 to get someone to help you try on and recommend products. The person who helped me was nice and I liked some of the products but at least half were out of stock. I wanted to just be able to walk in, get help and buy. I came back a week later and they still were not in stock so I ordered on amazon and saved about 20%. I have used the salon 1 time. It was when the store was first opened and I got my hair colored and cut as a gift from my husband. He asked and double checked they had what I wanted. I wanted someone with experience in color (I would pay more for it) and got a brand new stylist out of school. She was so nice and did not admit her lack of experience until she got stuck. I have thick longer hair and she ran out of color in the middle and tried to mix other shades. I felt bad for her because the salon is in the store, open to customers walking around. She was nervous and customers kept asking her for help so she had to leave me to help them. It was not relaxing experience. I didn't need customers watching me sit there waiting for her and then my hair was a few different shades because of running out of my color. It was subtle difference but not what I wanted. Even if the stylist had more experience and my color was in stock, I would not go back. It is just not relaxing and fun to have customers around you and taking your stylist away. Will I shop here sometimes. Sure. Again I am glad we have a store that you can find products that are not sold anywhere else in emergencies. I just would not have my hair done and when I want new makeup , I'll get some in SLC or Vegas when I am there. read more

This place is THE BEST. Not only do they have an amazing selection of any & all beauty things you could ever need, but they also have a great salon and Benefit Brow Bar. Mariona in the salon is an AMAZING hair stylist. After playing around with some subtle purple, I finally decided I wanted a vibrant purple balayage and it came out perfectly. She could not have done a better job & I have received so many compliments on it! And if you need your brows done, Nicole at the brow bar is the only girl I will let touch mine! Other Ulta stores that don't have a particular sample in stock, will offer something comparable to give you, but not this one!!! I'm always lured into Ulta by the fact that they offer less expensive items and also the higher end, pricier items. I can get everything I need, and what my teenagers need, in one place. They have a great selection. Every time I go into the store, however, I walk out telling my self I will never step foot in this place again! Here are my lists of pros and cons: PRO 1. Large selection CON 1. No testers, so you have to guess your color and hopefully it matches. If it doesn't, well... CON 2. Returns AND simple straight across exchanges? Good luck! I tried exchanging a bottle of shampoo for a bottle of conditioner because I had accidentally grabbed two shampoos instead of one of each. The conditioner was $1 more than the shampoo. After 30 minutes of trying to convince them that it wasn't right to be charging me $7 for an exchange on a product that was only $1 more than the product I purchased, I walked out with what I needed and paid the correct $1 plus tax. Not without them being extremely rude though. CON 3. The birthday club. They can see that it's your birthday month on the screen. They can see your telephone number, how much you spend in their stores, where you live, but if you don't print out that e-mail saying it's your birthday, no birthday item for you. Think you can just pull it up on your smart phone? Me too! Nope! Smartphones are too smart for Ulta. I'm going back to Sephora. read more
