I had a good experience at this Ulta! I needed updated products and I prefer Ulta to Sephora because I can get my drugstore products (primarily) alongside some of my more producty products (basically only the Better Than Sex mascara). It's summer time so tweens there with their parents make this location kind of a headache, but the staff is fantastic and everything was well-stocked. I am someone who is often overwhelmed by the number of products and lack a plan for what I need. I also do NOT like over spending on "beauty" products and worry about being oversold by sales staff on something I don't truly need at all. For that reason, I like this location's layout where at least I can clearly see the brand and go from there. Drugstore makeup product are to left as you walk in and fancier stuff is to the right. They have a salon nestled in this location and all kinds of great hair products, brushes, and more. Happy shopping! read more

This location needs an upgrade in both systems, technology and customer service to match the current year, 2024. The registers seem to always be breaking and then inventory showing online for pickup is never accurate. When we had their system/register charge us twice for perfume, they refunded one and not the other but didn't give us the product. The customer is not right at Ulta. It's frustrating! I enjoy the selection of products they have in the store and the sales help is very helpful and kind. However, I ran into a problem once before that I did not recall until it happened again. I purchase the majority of the items I needed, but there was one item that they were out of stock on. I was told by the sales clerk that they would be happy to order it for me, and then ship it at no additional cost for shipping to my home. I paid for the items that were in stock. She then placed an online order for the item that was not in stock and I paid for it. 5 days later the product arrived. I noticed my account was charged twice for the one online order. One time at the store, placing the order and two days after when they shipped it. I was double charged for this item. I called the store. I spoke to a manager and she said for me to come into the store and they will credit me, but then she also said that I should call guest services to see if they double shipped me as well. I called guest services, I was put on hold twice and then they disconnected my call. They did not help at all. So I decided to contact them by text messaging guest services and this is what I found out. Please tell me if you think this is a good way to conduct business. -You are charged when you place the online order from the store. They put a hold on your account until it ships. However, that is not how it happened and I explained I was charged initially at store and then again 2 days later when it shipped. They insisted that it was a hold and the first charge will drop off. But the bank confirmed it was not pending or on hold the money left my account. Back to Ulta today because all they said was they will report my concern and would not give me a credit. The store told me they had no way to credit me the overcharge because there was no product being returned ???? They assisted me with calling guest services. I sent them proof from my account of the double charge. They still would not issue me a credit. I have to wait till the 21st. After they review with their people. Not my mistake - they are holding my money that they have no legal right to. The store and clerks in the store are great however their corporate office guest services DO NOT SERVICE THE CUSTOMER. Do not order online for a product they are out of stock on. If you do be diligent to watch your account for an over charge. Unbelievable read more

I absolutely love ColourPop eyeshadow, and Ulta is the only place that has it now. They are super glittery, which I love, and they're also only like $6 each, which is awesome. Unfortunately they're only on a tiny end cap display. The boxes are hard to even get out because the display is so small. I also got a glittery lip gloss this time to try it out. I hope they keep carrying it because it is my favorite eyeshadow, but I wish they had more of it and it was easier to find. read more

Went in to get some skincare products. I understand that each salesperson has their own line they prefer. I was brought to Lancôme with a $65 price for .5 oz eye cream and when I asked to see if I could see others to compare with a lower price range...She immediately passed me over to another salesperson and explained I was looking for a less expensive creme. This salesperson asked questions but kept showing me what explicitly said I did not want. I then asked is she strictly sells for this new company and said oh no ... when I asked to see specific brands ... she could not share knowledge about any of them or tell me how they compare to each other and no they were not drugstore brands that she asked if I would be interested in. I released her unhelpful demeanor and looked on my own. I went over to Clinique and purchased a couple items there. Haha well I asked if the had an eye cream with vitamin C,hyaluronic acid and reduce puffiness. I walked out with the benefits of hyaluronic acid or vitamin C Maybe I'm wrong but didn't see it in the ingredients The concealer i purchased did have all she said it would have in the ingredients. Online Clinique stated this came with a gift. Maybe it was only for online purchases idk. But from now on I'm purchasing online where you seem to get more. I was highly unimpressed with this store for a couple reasons. Frst and foremost, I went in looking for advice on makeup products and the best ways to use them no one actually wanted to help me. When I asked questions I was brushed off or got brisk, mildly rude anwsers like the attendant wanted me out of her way. I understand they were busy, there were numberous customers needing assistance, but it felt like I was brushed off because I looked like a dumb teenager they didn't want to waste their time with. The only suggestions I got were "name of makeup product by name of brand" and then no direction as to where to find it before they scurried off to find another customer to help. The second issue I had with the store dealt less with the employees and more the company. I online ULTA offered a promotion where you get a free gift if you buy so much of a certain type of product, which I did in store, but the store didn't have any of the free gifts. They more or less just shrugged and said oh well. If the company is going to offer a promotion I feel they should either specify is as online only or actually have the free gift stocked at their store.I could have ordered online and gotten just as much help as I got in store AND I would have gotten the free gift. As it is generally pretty pricey to shop at ULTA to begin with, I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. read more

I have become obsessed with makeup tutorials on Youtube and instagram. It's like my relaxation therapy to watch people do the perfect contour or smokey eye. And if you can do the perfect red lip - well - you are my hero. In comes Ulta. I wanted to spruce up my makeup essentials and Ulta was a perfect place to start. I never used their customer service support - ladies basically walking around asking if you need any help - at this point I considered myself a pro. They had everything I was looking for. Anastasia's contouring kit... NYX contouring stick.. NYX lipsticks (try the matte, perfect!). I was even able to get some Body Butter (Body Shop) and new makeup brushes. Sometimes drug store makeup just isn't enough - and this is such a great store to stop in if you need more options. Anyone who is obsessed with beauty products you have to stop in. It's not sephora... that is a hard comparison to beat - but it's second best to that and easier to get in and out of (not in a mall). read more

A nice place where you can find make up both simple and exquisite. With a lovely, preppy ambience and friendly customer service, it's hard to have a bad shopping experience. If you have a question about a product, there always seems to be someone there that knows about everything. Need cosmetic advice? No problem. My only issue is that they are a little pricey, even when it comes to what I like to call "grocery store makeup." I am a miser when it comes to cash, and though I love Urban Decay, Maybelline has a much more attractive price tag. But I digress, that isn't the store's fault. Overall, if you're looking for a nice place to buy some quality make up, you've found the right place. Oh, and I did forget to mention something. If you stay in the front of the store for too long, in front of the main center displays, you get attacked by perky saleswomen trying to sell you the latest mineral blush. A wonderful place to come, relax, and be treated in beautiful Webster, NY. That is however, if you want to look like a 5 year old just put make up on you. I dropped my girlfriend off to get her makeup done here before we went to prom. When I picked her up she was all but crying because of how bad of a job the makeup "artist" had done. Her eyeshadow was uneven and messy on both sides. My girlfriend asked for a "natural look" but what she got made her looked all caked up. She had heavy foundation put on her that wasn't her color. It literally made her face look orange. There were easily visible lines everywhere on her face, created by the contrast her makeup and her skin tone made together. The only good thing about the service here was how quick it was. She was good to go in 20 minutes, but the result wasn't worth the $45 we had to fork over. It was so bad we had to rush back to her house so she could take it all off and do it herself. Furthermore, another friend of hers went to the same ulta to get her makeup done, only to receive the same result. I do not recommend wasting your money here. read more
