UPDATE: Customer service reached out and agreed that the…read morecost of the repair should have been given before the repair was done. They refunded half making the repair $113 which is a fair price for the repair. So, bonus points for good customer service. ORIGINAL: They do good work and they call you beforehand. The technician was knowledgeable. BUT, service can be expensive! $$$$ I didn't get a quote for the cost of repair before it was done otherwise, I could have decided if $226 was worth it or not to repair a microwave. I SHOULD have been informed before the repair, but was NOT. If they don't do the repair it's $89 for having them come out. My microwave is an above the stove type with the exhaust fan and the issue turned out to be a blown fuse. It took LESS THAN AN HOUR to inspect, replace, clean up and write the bill, LOL! I would probably have been better off replacing the microwave as it's a few years old, but with the $89 fee for the service call, having it repaired was probably the better option. I am thankful that the microwave is working again and that I could afford the repair. Just remember to ask that they give you a price estimate before they begin any repairs so that you can decide if it's worth it or not!

If I could rate this company a zero I would. I called this company originally and they advised they…read morewould charge $120 for a diagnostic fee then labor for whatever it cost to fix the issue. On day 1 they stated they would come out and charge a diagnostic fee of $120. While I was at work my fiance was home and the gentleman advised he fixed what needed to be fixed. During his visit he also asked for a bucket - totally unprepared. However, after he left and my fiance advised that they charged us $120 + another $70 for labor to correct the issue. Upon her advising the charge I asked her to run the machine and test to see if it was doing the same thing. It was. We called and advised the machine was still not working properly and asked them to return. Upon return my fiance was seeking clarification on why this was not fixed. The technician was yelling at my fiance. She texted me asking me to come home as she was not comfortable with the technician alone in the home. I came home and asked the technician why it was not able to be fixed at this time. He advised this was just a diagnosis and also advised that the dryer stacked on top would need to be removed from the top to access the pump he believed needed to be serviced. He also advised that they do not remove the dryer for access. They only service the machine. I was not trying to be confrontational as the man had a large screw driver in his hand. I did ask him what he believed was wrong with the machine and he explained. He left the house cordially. I then called into the office to complain about the service we received. When I was trying to explain the lady that took the call was really defensive and hung up. I called back. I asked to speak with the owner. Turns out he owner was the technician. I asked for my money back in full considering the inconvenience. However, my largest concern is the $70 considering he advised that the entire experience was a diagnosis. I am not sure why we were charged for labor if nothing was fixed and if this was just a diagnostic. This owner of this company is a horrible representation of this brand considering this is a franchise. I look forward to speaking with someone at corporate to discuss our experience. The owner also expressed he was in the military and was a cop but tried to blame us for their preparation although he was at our house twice and my initial call advised we had a stackable washer and dryer. It is also easy to tell the home is in Baltimore. For someone who is in the military his action was pretty distasteful. There is a review from CK on Jan 10 2026 that seems to be pretty comparable if not a bit better than my experience. PATHETIC

Two and a half months ago my 5 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher began to leak. I called a nearby…read moreappliance repair shop. The repairman diagnosed the problem as a wearing out of a simple part of the motor assesmbly that, given the product design, required a replacement of the whole assembly. The price quoted for the part and labor clearly supported a decision to replace rather than repair the 5 year old dishwasher. But upon shopping for a similar model, I was not satisfied with the currently available options, as none closely matched my other appliances. I recalled the very enthusiastic reviews I had seen of Wooten Appliance in Beltsville (kind of far from me), and thought I'd invest in a second opinion. What a good call that was! Daryl is a pro and a gentleman--extraordinarily skilled, and a person of integrity. He did his own examination and diagnosis, but to save time and service calls he prospectively ordered the part I had been told I needed, with the understanding that I wouldn't be responsible for purchasing it if he did not concur with the prior diagnosis. He did a fantastic job in repairing my machine with a brand new assembly, and additionally cleaned the gasket that had become caked with soap. He taught me what I had been doing wrong for 5 years that had accelerated the soap buildup--and how to clean it. He worked neatly and without making a mess. And he was competitive in his pricing. His receptionist / office manager, Rosemary, was key in this very fortunate save. When I called to request a second opinion she generously and capably facilitated this successful resolution, patiently and precisely conveying Daryl's questions, my answers, Daryl's quote, and my concurrence in multiple phone communications. She is a terrific facilitator. So glad I called Wooten and kept my beautiful and now rejuvenated dishwasher! I recommend Wooten Appliance with five stars, plus.

Disappointing and Unethical Pricing "This company is only…read moreafter money" all the real review have this in COMMON including me. I had a very disappointing experience with Wooten Appliance Repair. They gave me a clear estimate of before starting the job, which I agreed to. However, after the work was done, I was shocked to be charged double than the agreed upon original estimate. The technician offered no explanation and no reasoning. This is completely unprofessional and unethical. Pricing should be based on the job, not who I am or where I live. I went ahead and paid the full amount. I would not recommend Wooten to anyone looking for honest or transparent service. I feel taken advantage of, and will be warning others to stay away.

The owner, Mr. Abdullah, came out to the house, took a look, then texted me a quote the next day. I ended up turning the work down, because for the amount that he was asking, it made more sense to just buy a new dishwasher from Costco, which includes installation. Yes I think the quote was very high, but that's not the reason for this 1-star review. The problem is this. He didn't tell me about his $75 service fee until he was at my house and had already looked at the dishwasher (which took all of 3 minutes). I'm perfectly okay with a service fee, but it needs to be explained upfront and not when he is standing in my kitchen with his dirty boots on. I handed him my credit card, and a moment later I see on his credit card machine that he is charging me $95. I questioned him immediately and he simply denied it, saying he said $95. Later he told me on the phone that he has been charging $95 service charge for the past 5 years. That's not true. Looking through the reviews here, he himself stated (just last year) that he charges $89 service fee, and another reviewer wrote (two years ago) that the service fee was $79. I can't speak to the quality of his work, but this is just too much shenanigans. I do not recommend ABD Appliance.
