My refrigerator stopped blowing cold air today, and I needed to get it repaired same day. I called Crest and Gilbert Rubin (owner) replied and was able to come to my home same day to repair. Gilbert was able to diagnose and fix the issue (motherboard died) in less than 1 hour time. He even called later that evening to follow up to make sure everything was OK. I was very pleased with the service here and would not hesitate to contact Crest for your appliance repairs. Also, please have the make and model number of the appliance you wish to have fixed in hand when you call (he will ask you for it). For one thing, Crest does not repair on all appliance brands (the list of brands he repairs is on the website), but it also helps with the diagnosis and let's him know what possible replacement parts he should bring to your home. I had started a load of clothes only to realize that after the washer filled with water it stopped working. Being the handy person that I am I googled and found that I needed a new lid switch. Crest Appliance Repair is awesome. It is so rare to have an appliance repair company be such a pleasure to deal with. Our gas oven has been giving us fits for months, and then just quit heating. Crest scheduled service for next day, and showed up well ahead of the promised time (they knew someone'd be here, so the early arrival was appreciated). Sr. Tech Gil Rubin is an experienced older gentleman, who came in and had the problem diagnosed within minutes of looking at the stove. He had the parts needed, swapped out the bad ignitor that was the source of the problem, cleaned up quickly, and tested that everything was working perfectly before he left. On top of that, he included a $20 coupon special on top of a discount on the part. So, we have a functional oven again for about $175 for an out-call. I call that a win. I have no reservations whatsoever recommending Crest for your repair needs. What a refreshing change from the usual missed-appointment and over-charge minefield that normally comes with having a major appliance serviced. read more

Gilbert was awesome and so knowledgeable! I was in a refrigerator crisis--the temp was at 50, even though it was still running. I called and left a message, and he returned my call immediately on a Saturday. He was going home for the day when I called, but because it was my fridge, he came over and worked for three hours to fix it. He gave me a lot of tips on my appliances while he was there, and he was cordial to my houseful of kids and two large puppies. He's also fairly priced. He will ask a lot of questions, and he likely will figure out the problem before he even arrives. He will show up when he says he will and he will give you his honest opinion and do his best to fix the issue. He will take time to explain things, and show you things you need to know. Outstanding service. The first place I called said it would be 2 weeks before they could send out a technician. Gil was here the next day. He could have replaced my heating unit, if he was dishonest, but he showed me a basic problem with my outlet and got me a new flexible coil for the exhaust replacing my kinked up one for well under half the price (basically the cost of the service call plus the material). Based on the great reviews of others, I called Crest to repair a dishwasher. The person who answered told me (very nicely) that they don't repair dishwashers anymore, although they repair most other appliances. It seems dishwasher repair can be tedious and expensive - what he called a "lose/lose" for him and his customer. But he gladly gave me a recommendation for another repair business (Raker), who did a great job, so I wanted to write this to (a) inform others of the DW situation and (b) acknowledge Crest for a great referral. read more

Our refrigerator stopped working on a Sunday and we called and left a message with Crest Repair. Being a Sunday, I didn't expect a return call until Monday. Not the case - within an hour Gil called us back. He asked several questions of what happened and he felt he knew what was wrong. Unfortunately, he did not have that part on his truck and the warehouse was closed for the weekend. Monday morning Gil was at the door. He evaluated what was wrong and already had the part. Less than an hour and it was working. He said he would have been here Sunday if he had the part. The cost was super reasonable too! I called Mr. Gilbert and he was the first to answer and I'm glad he did. He asked me about my problem and listened providing me with a lot of feedback and information. He even allowed me to call back after business hours to confirm that I would be available for an appointment early the next day. He arrived on time and quickly fixed the problem. He charged a very reasonable price and was extremely pleasant.
