I am not sure if this review should be for Ultimate or for Manual's Auto Body, which is whom I initially called for the serious rear-fender damage that occured on our 2015 Mazda3 hatchback. Manual's was under renovation, and I was asked to go to UCW after I called the number. Freddy gave us a quote which was less than others we quoted. The whole staff was professional and very courteous. The repair was done in three days, and the car was WASHED! Brought my car for front end repairs. Steve originally was very nice and professional. When my car wasn't ready on time by over one week, I kept calling and Steve became short and irritated. Finally got my car back but had many issues: bumper was not in the original position and OEM bolts were not used, standard gaps between panels, hood were bigger than what they should be. Lots of overspray, rough sanded and unfinished areas, bubbling paint. Brought to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and started a claim. The investigator said this was "poor workmanship ". The claim is on going still. Brought my car to a long time respected shop and they are having to redo what Ultimate did so poorly. I heard but cannot confirm that the new owners of Ultimate had an explosion in their old shop in the painting box. It was allegedly not kept up to clean standards which led to the fire. If you love you car, bring it somewhere else. You shouldn't have to go through the inconvenience and have a poorly repaired car. read more

Recently, our car needed some roof repair and spoiler replacement due to an aggressive garage door crashing down on it. We got 3 estimates from body shops in the area and Ultimate Coachworks gave us the best price (not the lowest). It was the best price because Freddy fully explained all of the detail work that would be necessary to do the job properly and it was clear that Ultimate Coachworks would not take shortcuts on quality service. Another surprising factor which influenced our decision was that Ultimate Coachworks was a very busy body shop. The other 2 shops that we visited had office people but no one in the repair work space. It was like they were just waiting for us. Very odd! These guys are great. Did a beautiful job on a low door, dent and scrape on my car, took only three days. Recently, I had my car in for a service at the dealer and they told me they couldn't open the hood. They said the only way they could do it would be pry it open and cause some damage. I took the car to Ultimate Coachworks. Right away they knew exactly what to do and could open the hood without damaging anything.They had my wife and I wait in their office and less than 30 minutes later they had opened. the hood and fixed the broken cable mechanism. I asked what I owed them and they said no charge. You don't get service like that too many places these days. read more

I wish I saved my time and went somewhere else. I came in because someone scratched my car. I got an estimate to fix the scratch and bumper cover. I decided to get everything fixed minus getting the car painted. I paid around $550 to get the cover fixed to still have a gap and not looked fixed. I contacted the shop and they said the " gap is due to the bumper being hit and that an estimate couldn't be provided for something that they can't see ". Which makes no sense since they replaced the cover and saw the gap. I feel like I was scammed for the money I paid. Update: after my review they called me to make things right. I went to the shop and they replaced the screw and the gap was fixed( after them telling me over text that the gap was due to the bumper). I still believe for the amount of money I paid that I got scammed and I'm convinced they didn't replace what they said they did ( cause how can I get a "new" cover and still feel the scratch on the bottom ) I called the owner to ask why I was over charged. He said he will do an estimate and give me a call back. Never got a call back I'm not sure if they took advantage because I'm a girl or cause I paid out of pocket but either way I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

I had a good experience with Gary at Ultimate Coachworks. He got me Audi in on short notice after a shop caused some minor damage to my fender. We opted to just do a couple of little spots of touch up. You can never really get 100% with touch up as there is still a difference in the paint level between where the chip is and the rest of the paint. But he did a nice job with the direction we chose to go. I would not hesitate to go to him first if I wanted more extensive paint or bodywork done. read more

I checked out Ultimate Coachworks on the advice of my Porsche repair shop. The prior reviews raved about Gary, the prior owner who retired a few months ago. I called ahead and then drove over in my 2003 996 turbo. When I pulled up, I was met by Freddy, who told me that he had worked at the shop for over 20 years and was the new owner. I received an estimate to replace my damaged front bumper cover, front spoiler, and repaint my hood to fix rock chips. The estimate for parts, paint, and labor was very fair. I paid a deposit and he ordered the parts. Freddy and his crew did the work a week or so later. The color match was perfect and the paint is warranted for as long as I own the car. I was very pleased with the results, but noticed two very minor blemishes a few days after I picked up the car. I brought my car back and they made it perfect in a couple of hours! Freddy's son and daughter work here and the place is full of gorgeous freshly painted 911s. I plan to bring my 330Ci convertible back for a full respray estimate. My car was hit and the rear bumper was damaged. I was recommended by family members to call Gary. My car is a pearl color and being a bit older, is evidently a difficult color to match. So I was warned that I might not be happy with the color of the new bumper in contrast to the body of my car. I appreciated the honesty. But that being said, they did an amazing job. My car looks awesome. It was done quickly. Gary was very honest and great at communicating with me and my insurance company. Most importantly, my car looks fantastic! Having to take you car to a body shop is never something anyone wants to do. I guess it's kind of like the dentist, you don't want to have to go but sometimes you have to, and when you do, you want that person to be excellent. I am the owner of a (five star Yelp) Porsche and Audi mechanical repair shop and I recommend ALL of my customers to Gary for body work and collision repair. He is, quite literally, the only body shop that will deliver perfect results. I have tried many others. Any shop can paint a car, but it takes a true professional to make that car look and feel like it has never been hit. All the "behind the scenes" work that customers don't see (i.e. retention clips, wiring, heat shields, prep work) are always installed/done correctly and the paint finish is remarkably close to the finish that the vehicle had from the factory.
