My car broke down nearby and they didn't have an open slot for a couple of days. I called Rony's and they said I could have the tow brought to the Sepulveda location. I needed to rent a car and Budget/Avis is right next door! I got to meet Rony himself and he was straight up with me on what was wrong with the car and what is was going to take to repair it. This review is from my personal experience only. I had a bad experience! Steven the service advisor was great however, but could not do more than his boss Rony would authorize. My 2013 Ford Fusion was stalling when I come to a stop without popping a check engine light. Went to a full service big name repair center and was charged $175 for a diagnostic. Nothing was found. A couple weeks later, check engine light came on. Did a little online research on the code and brought the Fusion to Rony's based on his 4 stars and proximity to work. Rony greeted me upon arrival. After telling Rony my story, he responded that his son drove the same car and he would deep-dive the issue and take care of me. After his deep-dive we decided to start with spark plugs. Visit 1. I picked up the Fusion after hours on a Friday and the check engine light was still on. I texted the shop and Steven called me and apologized for his technician's mistake, for not resetting the light. I returned. Visit 1.2. I drove the car for 3 days and the light returned. Visit 2. I dropped the Fusion off for 3 days. We decided to service the fuel system. It was time anyway. After the service I drove the car for about 2 weeks and it stalled again. I did a deep dive and searched all the Ford forums on the and found a single thread that spoke about replacing the low rpm fuel sensor and high rpm fuel sensor. After searching the key words "sputtering at. low rpm's", I found a YouTube video that gave instructions on how to install the part, a process that takes about 15 minutes. I returned. Visit 3, this time with a clear goal. I wanted to buy the OEM part and have it installed. Steven said, "I'm sorry for your inconvenience, I'm going to ask what my boss what we can do to help". Rony stayed in his office and Steven returned and said he wanted to charge for a $200.00 diagnostic before installing the part, but would only charge me $75.00 for the install. This is where I decided to buy the part and say, "Thank you for your time." I installed the part and haven't had a sputter or stall since. 3 weeks later I received a text from the shop, asking me to drop a review of my experience, and so here ya go! Read less read more

I've had a post-it reminder to write this review for awhile. I had been having problems with a leaking sunroof in my 2009 Jeep Liberty for years. Soaked carpets and headliner every time it rained. I had been to multiple body shops who tried a few unsuccessful attempts to fix it and said there was nothing they could do, that a replacement sunroof had never been manufactured. I was out of luck. I pulled into Rony's Car Pros and met George. He said the best thing to do would be replace the sunroof -- adding that perhaps he could find one in very good condition on ebay. He called me two days later and said he had found one, contacted the seller to get more detailed condition info. The sunroof was about $150, he purchased it and quoted me about $700 total because he thought they may have to remove all the housing to insert it properly. Long story short, when I went on to pick up the car, George said they had vigorously water tested it and it seems to be fine and for me to drive it for awhile and see what happens. Furthermore, he said they did not require removing any housing and the install went smooth and fairly easy. He adjusted the bill to about $475, which included the sunroof. I was elated and the sunroof has been working beautifully. No more leaks. Had a check engine light. It's one of the engine codes that could be anything. Diagnosing it is time consuming and costly, so I didn't wanna waste my time and thought I'd pay someone else to get it diagnosed and fixed. I dropped off my car and left it to the pros. I know they only spent at most about 3 hours on my car because they called me Monday morning. it was parked on the street all weekend; I had brought it in on a Friday near the end of the day. They said the car needed a certain part replaced. I was suspicious because that part had just been replaced two years ago at a different autoshop. It was a $2000 job. Also it just didn't make sense. I asked them to explain it to me and they said it needs to be replaced because it's not running properly. I asked them what could go wrong and they basically repeated themselves. So, i said I'd take my car home and come back later. I took my car home. Went with my gut feeling and replaced the $150 sensor I was suspicious of. Car fixed. I had been taking my car here for a while. But I mean, one slip up like this is not acceptable. Slip up isn't even the right term. But I mean, at least I didn't fall for it. Oh, and my battery hold-down was missing after the last job they did on my car. That was interesting. read more

I'm a real guy and this is a real story. Someone had knocked my side view mirror off in a parking lot on Christmas Eve. The mirror wasn't damaged, but the screws that held it in place wouldn't fit anymore. I drove past Rony's but they were closed. However, when I pulled in to turn around and go home, Rony opened up the garage and asked if I needed any help. Within five minutes he had fixed the problem and didn't even charge me. We came to Rony's to help with an insurance claim. Our car was hit over a year ago and it turns out the rear axel was bent slightly, which only showed up as tire wear many months after the accident. We had trouble finding a shop to inspect the axel and write up a report for the insurance company, but Rony's not only took us right away, they wrote up a detailed and thorough report of all the damage to our vehicle formatted beautifully so we could send it in for insurance. You know when you're having a bad day and the kindness of humans can make it better? That was me a few days ago. My tire popped on the 405 and it terrified me. I luckily didn't get hurt and got off the freeway where I found Rony's Car Pros. I parked my car and ran over without my mask, which I noticed as I walked in and felt terrible. The wonderful woman working there (I didn't catch her name) made sure I was ok and had a mask for me when I asked for one.
