A lot of friends/family make fun of me for spending $30 for a car wash. My coworkers recommended this shop to me a couple years ago and I have been coming ever since. Steve does a great job listening to your concerns and taking care of them. The basic car wash is enough for me on most occasions. I take my little Honda Civic 2018 and the wash + spray wax lasts me for the entire month. Albeit, I am much better than most at keeping my car clean. The only downside is that they don't have a dedicated parking area, so they often park your car on the main street. I normally would not mind this, but if they park it under cars... you get bird poop on occasion. My husband uses those machines for $15/$10 dollars, but he still needs to vacuum his own car. Great service, and you get what you pay for. I bring my car here as often as I can because they do a better job than any other car wash I have visited. The car is spotless when I pick it up, and the customer service is fantastic. Most recently, I brought my Outback in for a mini detail. The cost was $125, which seem like a lot. Here is what they did: Hand wash and wax Shampoo carpet Clean floor mats Clean and condition all my leather Clean the windows so there were no streaks Applied protectant to dash and interior surfaces and tires They had the car for about four hours, and I am sure someone was working on it most of that time because the car looked new when I picked it up. Tips - make an appointment if you are coming in for a detail, be prepared to wait a bit because they take their time to do the job right, show up early because they do get busy. Highly recommended. One of the best car washing places in Orange County hands down. These guys really care about your car and the quality of the wash costs almost double other places, their quality of work really shines through. My Tesla Model 3 (black) was washed last night at 4:30 right before they closed. The attention to detail was amazing. And I am a picky person. The only and Biggest problem I have is what happened after they washed it. After they washed it, they parked the car in front of their store. Unfortunately, there is a tree in front of their store and it drips little drops of sap. Hundreds of little pinhead sized sap dropped on the car. I got home and immediately wiped it off with a microfiber. The sap wouldn't come off. It just streaked. Isopropyl alcohol wouldn't remove it. Only a bug and tar remover was strong enough to get it off. But this required me to wipe down the majority of the car with sap remover and then washing the car this morning by hand to remove the sap remover. This defeated the purpose of paying someone else to wash my car yesterday and $29 down the drain. 5 stars for the quality of wash you get from this place. 1 Star for making me rewash the car literally 14 hours after. This could have been avoided. read more

Was very excited to try out this new place since my friend recommended it. With its spectacular reviews. I got the wash + wax and wasn't super impressed. When I got home, I saw that the dirt that was on my car was still there :( The $60 wash was similar to my usual $10 wash minus the wax. I wonder how that huge dirty spot was missed if they had also waxed my car. Bummed this won't be my go to place. The customer service was great though. Guy at the front desk was super friendly. Total wait time was super quick. About 45 minutes which now makes me curious. Waxing job was spotty around the lower/side bumper and above tire area doesn't feel slippery like the rest of the car :( read more

I was really rooting for this place because of the rave reviews it got on Yelp and because the main person taking the cars seemed super cool and genuine. The wait was not an issue for me. I came knowing it would be about an hour or two, so I had someone come with me so I could just drop my car off. When I came back, my car was parked across the street so I wasn't able to check my car before paying the front desk. I tipped $10 for an $18 car wash. I had good faith in this place and washing the exterior and interior of a car and wiping it dry in the hot sun is honestly a laborious job. When I got to my car, I saw a few wet spots - no biggie. It's really the interior I was worried about. They vacuumed the inside but didn't wipe down my back seats at all. I could tell because a crazy night led to throw up in my car (shaming moment, I know, but hence, the necessary car wash) and there were still traces of vomit in the back seat and where the seatbelt is. I felt disappointed that I had tipped so much thinking and trusting it was going to be a stellar job, but now I'm getting ready to bust out my own cleaning tools to finish the job. It's unfortunate I'm breaking this 4/5 star streak, but this is truly the service I received. read more

This place is pretty small and easily missed if you don't keep an eye out. Ultimate Custom Car Care is located right across the street from a gas station (Shell I believe) and there is a very small opening where you drive your car in if you're on the main street. I brought in my new 12' Prius and got a Full Wash, Handwax, and interior cleaning since this place had the best reviews. They definitely lived up to their expectation! Nothing better than an old fashioned hand wash to keep the car looking like new. The owner was also able to point out some scratches I had on my window (which I already knew about) and was very detail oriented which is what you want when someone is cleaning your car. Inside they have comfy chairs and plenty of magazines to browse through while you wait for your car to be finished as well as free coffee for those who want it. All in all my car came out like it was brand spankin new and everything took only about 45 min to do! Definitely coming back to this place :) read more

Being a poor college student, I get myself around via buses, trains, and my trusty road bike. However, I recently got a great job that was too far away to bike or bus to (and there was no train station nearby), so I decided to ask my parents if they were willing to help me buy a used car. It turns out that my parents had just bought a new car and were going to give their old car to my older brother, and then in turn sell my brother's car, since there was going to be an extra car in the household. Instead of selling it, they gave it to me! I've got great parents. Now, despite my gender and stature and whatever stereotype applies, I love me some cars! I figure, since my dad takes great care of his cars and I plan on doing the same, that the whole "I love cars and I take good care of my cars" gene would apply to my brother, correct? Wrong. When I picked up my car, I couldn't believe my eyes. Turns out my brother, in 4 years of driving it, has never actually taken it to a car wash to get cleaned, much less detailed. He parked it beside some sprinklers that went off every night, and when the sun rose, it baked the water in, and there were hard water stains all over the place. The finish was dull, there were scratches everywhere, and I could go on and on and on about the horrid state of the car. I apologize, now, for the long rant about my hand-me-down car adventures, and let me get on to the review about this place, and Steve. I brought my car in and after they cleaned my car (completely by hand), Steve went to look at my car and informed me that my car needed to be detailed. I knew that already, but unfortunately they were booked for the day and I didn't manage to squeeze myself in, so I just decided to give my car a waxing for now, and made an appointment a few weeks later to actually get it detailed. The waiting room is okay. There were some tables and chairs and magazines lying around. Smart ol' me figured that it'd be wise to bring a book to read while we waited. I went in the morning, so they had coffee! Yay. Once they finished with my car, they drove it around to the front. I saw it through the window and didn't even register that it was my car at first, because it looked amazing. IT WAS SO SHINY. WHAT KIND OF MAGIC DO THEY WORK IN THIS PLACE?! The most impressive thing was that they managed to remove most of the hard water stains. Lolwut. I kept running my hands over my car because it looked so much better than it did an hour ago, and I couldn't believe my eyes. Steve is super nice, real honest about whether or not you need something done on your car, and his baby daughter is adorable! Keep your eye out for the entrance, as it's really small. Excellent hand car wash of our 2013 Corvette GS to bring back the like new shine of the ceramic coat finish done 2 years ago. Place gets busy, so plan on an hour for a wash, but we'll worth it. Wow! For $18 (wash only, no wax) my black car turned out spotless with a perfectly clean interior. Had some dripping from my side mirrors that ruined it on the drive home though :( This place is hard to find because it doesn't look like a car wash at all. It is literally across the street from the Shell gas station on the same side and the entrance is hard to spot. There's a hidden driveway nestled IN the building (weird) I had to leave my car in the driveway because it was so busy, but they do a good job moving cars around. There are places to sit and a keurig coffee maker to keep you awake while you wait. I can see that wait times can get hefty (waited about an hour and a half for my car) but there's free wifi. I'm sure there are outlets somewhere too because people were bringing laptops and watching movies. Note: if you want air freshener make sure to ask because it is by request only. Didn't feel like driving to my normal spot in Costa Mesa so came here instead based on the high reviews and the fact that they are a hand wash only place. Came in a little before nine and there were plenty of people already in the waiting area. The manager/owner told me it would take about an hour which I was fine with since the chairs looked pretty comfy. I was tempted to watch them as they were washing my car but didn't want to look like a micro manager haha. About an hour later, I see my car pulled up the curb and it looked pretty spic and span. The wheels were pretty clean and I didn't see any water spots. When I got home, I had to wipe the windows since they weren't fully dry and left water marks when I rolled them down. Overall, great place for a thorough hand wash but don't expect perfection if you are just getting a normal wash. -1 star for not drying my windows fully and also not dusting my dashboard (there was plenty of dust left on it and I had to clean it myself) read more
