I only recommend this place to purchase loose diamonds. They have a large selection at competitive prices. I do NOT recommend this place to set the diamond, or for the purchase of any bands. They don't have many setting options and their sales people don't have as much knowledge about settings and bands as they do about loose diamonds. Also, although we paid extra for the platinum band, it has become yellow and discolored on the metal part where the setting meets the band, which is likely due to the material used by production when attaching the setting to the band itself. We took it back in and asked if they could take a look and see what they could do but they said there's nothing that can be done. After spending about 5k for the band and over 20k for the diamond, we are very disappointed that we have to just live with discoloration on such a pricey ring. read more

He ended up purchasing from Ultimate given their selection, quality, experience and GREAT PRICES. My Experience: I was walking down 47th (after going into 2 other stores that did not match Ultimate's prices or service), saw the Ultimate sign, remembered my friend bought from them and went in. I walked in, told them I was shopping or engagement rings and was a bit nervous about this huge purchase. From there someone introduced me to Diana who spent the next 2 hours guiding me, answering my every question and helping understand and make all of the decisions necessary.
