With a pearl white Lexus luxury edition you better believe I was was looking for the best of the best car wash to get it clean and shined after having gone through a horrible winter with lots of snow and ice. After much searching, I believe I found the ultimate of car washes. After having been selected as number 4 of Yelp's Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at their Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and businesses, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Ultimate Shine Car Wash in Roanoke, Virginia, is a perfect example. Today, I was attending the Yelp Elite Triad Squad Spring "Linner" Party at Zito Greek Kitchen restaurant in Mt Airy, NC and my pearl white Lexus needed some washing because we had had a rough winter this year. I searched for the best of the best of car washes around the area of Roanoke, Virginia, and happened to find a different kind of car wash. One dedicated to "great service while delivering a quality eco-friendly cShine. Their state-of-the-art wash tunnel used the latest industry-leading technology to outshine the competition. Their tunnel, besides its size and superior design, used self-cleaning Neo Tex foam brushes saturated with water and biodegradable detergents. This car wash also used premium products to deliver superior protection and shine. And their brand-new advanced drying system and Buff & Dry equipment delivered an effective dry and noticeable shine. After finding out that their address was close to the Golden Coral where I would be having breakfast the day of my departure to NC, and that they opened at eight in the morning on Sundays, I decided this is where I would take my Lexus after breakfast. Looking for the place following the GPS of my Lexus, I can't believe I passed by it and couldn't find it. I called their phone number on the Yelp website and a friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient lady from their headquarters answered the phone and contacted the local car wash, connecting me on the phone with their assistant manager, who guided me via my Lexus cellphone connection straight to the entrance of their car wash. Very impressive customer service, indeed. He then greeted me in person and proceeded to explain the different services they had to offer. I picked the Ultimate Shine, their most popular car wash. For only $20, it was a great value. And their membership plans were even better value. He walked me while I was inside the Lexus to the car wash entrance, and there a lady guided me to the entrance where I put my Lexus in neutral, then the lighting show began. As the Lexus was being washed, different color lights turned on as it went through the different processes. By the time I got out of the huge tunnel, the assistant manager was waiting for me on the other side and guided me to an area where there was a box filled with moist cloths and spray bottles of window cleaners. There was also a vacuum cleaner hose and one with air coming out. It was easy to clean the inside of my Lexus with these, and the pearl white color shined as brilliant as ever before. I went to wash my brand new SUV and Ultimate Shine scratched the hood. They Would not take responsibility and called me a liar. Danielle, the first person I interacted with, and who was nice, notice that they were fresh scratches and made it a point to call the manager. He kept saying that it was not their fault and that the scratches did not happen at his business. That it was impossible. He also said "our equipment doesn't scratch cars" and that "800 cars go through here and no one is complaining but you." The guy's name is Brett or Brad. I told both that it was the first time I wash the car outside the dealership. He was rude and arrogant. He was also a master at bad customer service and avoiding responsibility. The last thing he did was to say that he knew how to deal with protesters and that he would have me arrested. I have a heavy accent, I know he was trying to scare me. Danielle was nice, she listened. This was my first visit to this new location on Williamson Road in Roanoke Va. I was immediately greeted by the manger Danisha. I only had a $50 bill and some one dollar bills. After realizing the machine didn't take big bills, Danisha insisted on giving me the $2 extra dollars needed for the wash. I was completely impressed with her generosity, professionalism and customer service. I highly recommend this business. read more

I would give Ultimate shine car wash 5 stars but they are not worth it. I contacted Ultimate shine, the lady so call written down what had happened with vehicle, said that the corporate office was going to call me back the following week, hell it's been a month, haven't heard back from Ultimate shine. The rep make it sound so good on the phone telling you they going to resolve the issue and crickets. If people are still going to Ultimate shine car wash,it's going to happen to you as well. read more

Our vehicle was damaged by this location's equipment. We've gone back and forth between customer service, local management and corporate complaint department, and have gotten NO response. And the company doesn't appear to be interested in resolving this issue. If I do not get significant progress on my claim before October 10, I WILL proceed with litigation. THIS IS WRONG! And you are only getting one star because the system doesn't allow zero stars. read more

My 2019 Nissan Frontier has been through this location across from Lakeside Kroger in Salem probably 50 times (we have a membership). A couple of months ago the front wheel was pulled off the track and the right front quarterpanel was damaged by the washing equipment. I have spoken with the manager there several times. He has reviewed video, and agreed that the damage was caused by a fault on the track. He has promised it would be repaired, but nothing has happened yet. Foolishly on my part, I went through the same car wash a month later, and, darned if it didn't happen again! I have contacted Ultimate Shine Customer Service, with no satisfaction. I think they are hoping I will forget about it. No chance! But I'm not reporting it to my insurance, as it was in no way my fault. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This has been the worst experience i've ever had. The little short bald guy with a red shirt verbally assaulted me and was EXTREMELY rude. I believe he went out of his way to make sure my car didn't come out washed because he's broke af and couldn't afford a fly ass car like me. He didn't prep my car before the wash and his only interest in doing any service was if i was upgraded to a $25 wash. what a SCAM!!!!!! read more

Hi, this is Steve and I canceled my membership a couple months ago because the equipment is not maintained at Rutgers Street in Roanoke, Virginia. So I saw a new ultimate shine car wash being open near my house. So I reopened my membership. But I just took my company truck through and paid for the ultimate ceramic wash and get out to vacuum it. Well of course one of the hoses is totally broke off from the nozzle. Ridiculous and I look at my tires. There's barely any tire shine on them. Sometimes it shines really nicely and sometimes it doesn't. So I got one of the crew. He was very nice and polite and he agreed it doesn't look like they were even shined and he explained to me that there's been maintenance issues and you can't get the maintenance crew here and I pointed out the broken hose and again nothing but excuses because you can't get your maintenance crew here. But every few weeks I don't want to come to your car wash and hear excuses. I just want to wash my vehicle. Have all the vacuum hoses working and leave. And yes he offered me to go through the line again but the line was all the way out to the road. I'm not going to sit in the line again to rewash and probably the tire shine still ain't working. Maybe it should be filled up. Maybe it's not a maintenance issue. I don't know. It's just frustrating and this is why my company won't get a membership here And when this car wash first opened it was perfect. It did a beautiful job. That's why I can't wait for the new one to open near my house. So you need to really get your maintenance crew updated and communicating with them because they're not doing their job. That's all I have to say. I don't know what else I can say. I've tried to leave a review before and was told to call corporate but I'm tired of calling put when we go to roadrunner Express every one of theirs car washes do an excellent job so I don't know. My first visit was prompted by the sooty blotches on my car, courtesy of the Canadian forest fires. $16 later, I drove out -- with a wet car -- complete with sooty blotches, courtesy of the Canadian forest fires. If I could rate more then 5 stars I would give it 10 stars! I have a monthly membership and it is worth every penny. They always have fresh towels, plenty of cleaning supplies, vacuums so strong they remove your arm hair and the kindest staff. The staff always treats my car and I with the upmost respect. I had a few questions about services and upgrades, Maliek one of the staff member, answered them with swiftness and precision. He had all the answers to my questions and explained things in a manor that was easy to understand and straight forward.
