We took a vehicle here to get inspected and didn't realize a tire was needed. Kyle and Jagger went out of their way to ensure that everything was done on the vehicle and assisted in getting all the supplies needed. They are knowledgeable, kind and went out of their way to help us! read more

March 2015 - The staff and mechanics that work at the Lube Center on 4th Street are the best in all of Salem - I should know as I have lived in Salem for the last 25 years and I am a "car guy". The employees are all intelligent, professional and well trained. I have taken several vehicles to them for oil changes and for VA state inspections. I completely trust them with my 2004 BMW M3 and my wife's 2005 BMW 530i and our FJ Cruiser. I also take my motorcycles there for inspections. They are always very careful and thoughtful about the work they perform. Their prices are fair and reasonable and they work quickly. They do not use high pressure sales tactics (like other Salem oil change places) to sell new wipers, air filters, etc. I really like this shop and the friendly, honest people that work there. Featuring Pennzoil products, I use full synthetic in my cars. Highly recommended! read more

I was highly disappointed with my service today. I pulled up and waited for a hot minute before I finally had to honk for the attendant to come and allow me to enter, then afterwards I had to find him shoot turn on the vacuums. I don't expect to be waited on but if you offer a service I expect that service. Especially when no other options are given and since the location has been open for hours I'd expect things to be up and running. Needless to say I will not be returning nor will I be recommending this car wash to anyone I know. read more

When I pulled up to the car wash, I realized that I have never put my newer car in neutral. It's not an intuitive step in newer Audi's. The shift goes from R to D not N, unless you release the switch. The attendant stood outside my car yelling at me. "Put your f'ing car in neutral." I tried to ask for help, but instead, he just kept yelling and waving his hands aggressively in the air. After my daughter did a Google search to figure it out, we proceeded through only to realize when we arrived home that they never touched the back of the car. It was filthy. Pictures included. I was not too surprised, as it had been a long time since I had washed it and there was some baked-on grime. The second time I was surprised. I parked under the wrong tree and got some kind of fruit dropped on the car. The fruit was still mushy when I went to the wash, but the light-touch service left an abundance of dropped fruit still on my hood, roof, and glass. I complained to the attendant, and he allowed me to go through again. This did not completely remove all the fruit, but it made a big difference so I drove home and went back over a couple of spots. I think in the future I will find a place where I can wash it by hand.

Brought old car in and asked for the free tire rotation where it's done X number of miles, and the person prescreens you with a question "are you here just for a tire rotation today?" While he inspects the tires, later returns and says he can't because there's a check engine light on - which has nothing to do with rotation of tires, and i had to go elsewhere to rotate the tires. Number of miles already hit for their service, bought tires from them and was in their system, but it's an unscrupulous way to deny you your tire rotation service, and it was the 2nd time that i had a rotation with them, guess the first is to lure you in. Terrible business that doesn't honor rotations when they feel like it, when you get this treatment then you'll know, until then you may think they're good and experts. No, experts and professionals do not act like this. But while they check you in by inspecting your vehicle, they act like they're going to do the included service with your tire rotation, but they ask prescreening questions during the so called chit chat in the beginning. Tire rotations for an old car have nothing to do with a check engine light. They told me come back in maybe a few months we can't do it today until that check engine light is cleared. Big red flag, this business has gone downhill.

A few days later, my AC does not work. I take it to another shop and they tell me carrier bearing housing is missing. Likely from when they replaced the transmission, they didn't put this back on. We brought our car in for a brake issue. While working on the brakes, they told us it needed a steering repair and new tires. We picked up the car and scheduled a time for the steering repair. The repair was supposed to take a coupls of days, they had the car for several weeks. I left a message for them to quote me tires while they had it, so we could possibly get they done while it was there. There seems to have been a change in front desk staff, the previous guy was also super friendly and helpful. The new person acts like he's miserable every time you call. He stated he didn't get my message but could work up a quote for tires. I didn't get the quote until I called to pay for the steering repair. We found cheaper tires somewhere else, had them delivered to the shop and scheduled a third visit in a month. The front desk person told us to bring it back the following Monday at 11 and they would put the tires on. While I was on the pone with him I told him the brake light has been on ever since they fixed the brakes, the power washing fluid container has also been leaking since they repared the steering. My husband took it in at 11, as requested and was told they thought we were going to drop it off. The front desk guy went to the back and talk to the garage staff, my husband could hear him cursing and complaining about us bringing the car in and not dropping it off. Then, my husband mentioned the brake light and he said we'd have to make another appointment. Our car has been in the garage for nearly a month and still is not completely fix. Every time we call to ask a questions, the guy at the front desk has an attitude of he doesn't want to speack to anyone, and our questions are not answered. I have never experienced this at this garage, but it is enough that we are considering a new gagrage.
