Beware of Allstate extended warranty!!! At the time we were…read morea rice duty military and relied on the dealers expertise. In 2020 (Covid) we bought a 93000$ Explorer 4x4 conversion van from Mike Castrucci Chevrolet/Conversionvanland. When we were doing the sale online the salesman insisted for us to purchase the seven year Allstate extended warranty, with the explanation that it was a conversion and some of the factory warranty would not cover. Turns out we are now facing a drive train repair which was converted because of the 4x4 and Allstate is refusing the claim. Allstate told us the contract should have never been sold to us. Since this dealer claims to be the largest conversion van dealer in the country, they should have known that this was fraudulent and incorrect to begin with, yet they acted as the agent sold this expensive contract to us anyway. We are now stuck with this expensive repair and no recourse to recover any money on top of the thousands we had already spent on this fraudulent contract. We have now filed a formal complaint with the board of insurance, and the state. We are also hiring legal representation to seal action against Allstate and the dealer. A highlight of Center City Collision is their communication- they call twice a week to give a general update on the car's status, as well as were quick to respond to my (many) calls and emails. I was referred to Center City Collision by my insurance as a in network body shop, so taking my car their would facilitate the repairs. Paul communicated with my insurance company the whole time and I was never concerned with that aspect of the process. Additionally, he promptly sent me an estimate of the parts and time needed for the repairs. Unfortunately the parts for my foreign car were slow to be delivered, but they were quick to repair the damage (in the timeline given during the estimate) and when a needed part hadn't been noticed in the repair process, they had it overnighted and offered a rental car. Lastly, my car was spotless when I picked it up. So while the process was long and had a hiccup, this place deserves 4 stars for their customer service.

They then refused to send the quote into the insurance company until I promised to do the work through them instead of my repair shop of choice. I again asked that they send in the quote, they said they would, then later the State Farm agent told me they contacted the location and that the quote would not be sent in. I was lied to; this practice is just wrong, and CARSTAR wasted my time - all over a minor repair job. You've earned a 1 star review; I hope losing a customer was worth it.
