This is one of our go-to places for gas. It's often one of the cheapest priced gas stations in San Diego. They are usually $.10-$.30 cheaper than neighboring 7-11 gas and Chevron. All pumps have card machines so you can gas up quickly. The station has several pumps and it also has great access from both Pomerado road and Poway rd. Pumps are on both sides of the station which make it convenient. The pumps work well and are efficient. The station is clean and well lit. Most importantly, this place DOES NOT charge extra $.10 per gallon for debit card purchases. It's only for credit cards which is a huge plus for this station. I stopped by Ultra Fuel on Poway Rd at around 8:20 PM to get my propane tank filled before leaving for a trip at 4 AM the next morning. The employee refused to help and told me they "stop propane after dark" and that I needed to come back tomorrow. I explained that I couldn't because I was leaving early in the morning and was just asking for a little understanding and customer service. He didn't care whatsoever and just repeated that he didn't want to do it. The frustrating part is that it was obvious the tank COULD have been filled, this wasn't about inability, it was about unwillingness. No compassion, no attempt to help, no effort to make a sale or take care of a customer. Just complete indifference. A business with 1.7 stars on Yelp clearly has a reputation for a reason, and after this experience I understand why. Customer service goes a long way, and this place has none. Instead of helping someone out for a few minutes, they lost a customer permanently. I'll definitely be warning friends and family to avoid this place. Definitely DON'T buy propane here. And honestly, with gas stations on the other two corners of the intersection, take your business anywhere else. Whether it's for gas, diesel, a drink in the convenience store, or even a snack, I'd recommend supporting one of the other stations because I'm sure they would appreciate you as a customer far more than this place does. I had a propane tank that was a different size and couldn't just do a standard cylinder exchange somewhere else, which is why I needed a reliable place to fill it. Horrible customer service. I have been to this business twice in the last month trying to fill up a 7.5 gallon propane tank. The first time I was told it couldn't be filled because it was almost dark and the employee was working alone. Tried again a few weeks later and was told to wait by the large propane tank. After a while employee comes out and then tells me he can't fill it up because he's busy and working alone and to come back another day. Rude, rude, rude! I filled up my tank today and went into the convenience store and was trying to pay for my sunflower seeds. I said hello, I'd like to purchase these sunflower seeds. The rude older gentleman yelled at me and said, "did you have lunch today?" I didn't realize he was eating. I told him I hadn't realized he was eating. Again he yelled did you eat lunch while spitting out the chewed up food he had in his mouth. Never again. This was my go to place to put gas, but no longer a customer. read more

Cashier needs to and take a deep breath. Filled up on over $70 worth of gas so thought my partner and I could wash our windows and clean up our trash really fast so we could have a bit more comfort. We were there less than 20 minutes when a very aggressive middle aged male approached us asking us to leave due to delaying others using the pumps but the gas station was empty and only two other pumps were being occupied. He was very aggressive with his mannerisms and I asked him to step away from my vehicle and who he was which he stated he was the owner of the establishment. If I could give negative stars I would. We pumped our gas. I was sitting in the car while my 16 year old was washing the windshield. RUDE owner came out and asked my son, "Are you getting gas?" I thought he was complimenting him on washing moms windshield. Nope. I came out to help with the back since it was his first time using a squeegee. And the owner asks me if we are getting gas. Told me I was blocking and said move to the other side! I said check your records. We got gas and if you don't want people to wash their windshield, don't provide a squeegee buddy! I went into ultra fuel use my Apple Pay and they charge my card for $50 when I only wanted$14 in gas which cause me to over which the took the money out my account now they are plating dumb like they don't know what we'll I'm stuck here out of gas never use this gas station read more

Be careful with this gas station prices might be good but they charge a lot for gas and if you buy something inside with the cashier. They charge 0.60 cents at the pump and 0.80 cents inside if you buy something go across the street to the Circle K better prices or usually the same price for the gas and they don't up charge you at all read more

The older white attendant was extremely rude when I got there. I went inside to pay for gas and I kindly asked if I could get $45 on pump 3 and the attendant responded with "I guess" and handed me my change back. As I was filling up my gas I put some empty water bottles in a target bag to throw in the recycling and the attendant started screaming at me from inside the store. He then began talking bad about me with another person that was there filling up gas. I stood there confused because I didn't realize why he was yelling at me and he ran out and began screaming at me saying I wasn't allowed to throw away "a huge bag of trash". It was literally a target bag with a few water bottles. He stood there and watched me leave and smirked and waved as I drove away. He started at me the entire time and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I thought I'd support a local business, but I will NEVER come back here again. I went today to get gas with my son in the car , I tried to use the card outside after few attempts and finally got my fuel then the attendant comes outside asking me if everything was ok and I told him yes everything is fine and after I was done he called me inside again to make sure I paid for the gas I just pumped that was charged on my credit card . How could I pump gas without a card authorisation . I was very upset and angry at these accusations and said nothing and left after he made sure it was paid by looking at his screen . Middle eastern man working there was incredibly rude and should not be working there. We put diesel in our truck and did not pay attention and left after in clicked off. We realized our truck still had no gas in it so we went back to make sure my card wasn't charged for gas we didn't receive. This place is a rip off for propane. They charge $4.39 per gallon while Uhaul up the street is $3.01.

Filled up with gas told the attendant I needed to use air for tires when done he added a dollar onto what I purchased in store. It is illegal to charge for air when you have purchased gas. That law was passed in 1999. I'll get my gas down the street from now on read more
