I was in and out of this gas station in a flash. I had read that this Costco had the shortest gas lines and they were not joking. The line can easily protrude into the intersection, however the line is much shorter than other Costco's that have the same problem. The gas prices here were higher than what I thought they'd be ~$4.98 a gallon for regular, but I hadn't gassed up in minute so the prices could be similar at other Costco locations. I always try to stop at this Costco gas when I need to fill up. Whether it is on my way in to work or on my way home, or even sometimes I will go out of my way to go to this one. Traffic flow in and out and wait times are usually better than most other Costco's no matter the time of day. I've been here a few times and it's probably the best Costco gas station I've ever tried. It's such a vast improvement over the others, especially Mission Valley and La Mesa. It's smaller, but better situated. I don't remember the last time I got gas anywhere aside from Costco, it's a much better priced. I rarely venture inside Costco, but I'm a regular gas customer. I also like the car wash here, it's not bad. You can buy a wash at the pump while fueling up and take the receipt to the car wash and bypass the pay station there. read more

You have to drive off the freeway about 5 miles deep to get to this Costco gas station, the plus from it was you can pay for your car wash, drive over after finish pumping and skip right into the wash than spending more time paying at another kiosk, the entrance for this gas station is tricky, you might enter from both sides depending on which directions you coming from thus creating the big mess of traffic of people trying to get gas plus people going to Home Depot and their gas station was just small, I knew they moved it further away from the warehouse to avoid more traffic, but it didn't work read more

This is an excellent Costco gas location and particularly compared to other locations in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Ventura County. This location is less crowded, the line is manged better, and the customers who come here are much more polite than at other locations. YES, THE GAS PRICES HERE ARE THE BEST IN TOWN! In my experience, it is best to swing by here after 7pm on the weekdays & before 10am or right before closing on the weekends. Lines are long...but aren't they always long for good things?? It will test your patience, but here's a PRO TIP: You can actually use either side of the pump regardless of which side your tank is on because the gas hose is long enough for you to reach over to the other side if need be. You need a Costco card/Costco gift card and/or a VISA credit card to get gas here. The only downside is they don't have any water/squeegees so you can't clean your car, but I'm sure it's not there for efficiency purposes. Makes sense. read more

Really enjoying the short lines at this gas station. I almost don't want to review it to keep people away! I stopped in the morning before work and I was able to pull right up no wait to get gas. The lines are long for a reason. It's one of the most efficient places to get your fuel at a decent price. They have new electronic symbols to let you know if a pump is open. There is plenty of room to get around the car in front so you can get your business done and be on your way. You will usually find a staff person somewhere making sure the place is tidy, pumps are safe and maybe helping someone with pumping fuel. It's the only place I go for fuel. read more

Took awhile, but I'm happy for the added convenience which should save a bit of time off those Costco car wash lines. I'm very picky about car washes and it took me awhile to even consider bringing my cars here... That being said, it's very hard to beat the value you get from a car wash here. I've been bringing my last 2 cars here for years now and just brought my new truck on my last visit. Mixed reviews about this Costco gas. It's a little out of the way of residential communities so it's not too bad in terms of wait times. I really like that there is a third set of fuel pumps in the middle aisles. Good for those RV's that gasblock an entire row. I think customers would appreciate if more Costco stations had another available set of pumps, especially on the weekends. Other than that, it's your standard Costco gas station. Clean and spacious. The hoses are long enough to reach over and across your vehicle, so you can pick the shortest line queue and use any available fuel pump. When it's your turn, safely park close enough to the pump and don't block the pathway between cars so others can get through. It seldom happens, but some special individuals still have difficulty with this basic-intermediate parking task, which screws up the zen and flow of organized chaos. The Costco attendants are visible with their reflective vests and available to help out when needed. I haven't had to call anyone over since the station is relatively newish, looks well maintained, and I've never had any issues with the card reader or gassing up the car. I only noticed that one of the pumps was marked out-of-order with orange road cones. It's nice that they put the gas station on the way to the shopping plaza as your first errand and far enough away from the parking lots to minimize traffic. I think I've filibustered long enough. What I don't like is if you need help - all of the kids working there are Always grouped around each other gabbing. ---- Update - I've noticed that the staff at the petrol station are on their toes and talking less with each other. Costco Gas!!! So cheap! So good!! So close to home, it's like just going for normal gas... with 4x the line. Costco gas is always the go to place for me for filling up the little car. Why? It's cheap quality stuff. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have any pollutants (i'm not a mechanic so don't quote me on this). The attendants are helpful and they are always there with a smile. I feel bad for them since they have to stand for 8 hours a day in the cold/heat. I found out recently that they way they set the prices is, they go drive around to the local shops, submit the price to a database that's connected to their server, and then corporate sets the price! So cool! Thanks Costco for watching out for not only us, but also your workers. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5? No windshield wiping fluids or air for the tires. Also, here's a tip. gas is always at least 20 cents cheaper here vs all the other gas stations within a 10 mile radius. Lines can get ridiculously long here. I recommend either going within the first two hours of them opening, or an hour before they close. Lines are dead during those hours. I'm not an expert with gasoline by any means.. but I used to religiously pump my car with Shell, Chevron or Mobil gasoline. After switching to Costco gas, I feel like my car has lost a noticeable amount of power, especially when driving uphill. I guess that's the price you pay for cheaper gas. I know Costco is listed as a "top tier" gas. If anything, I imagine they barely meet those requirements if we took the time to do the research. If anyone is on the same boat as me, I add "Marvel Mystery Oil" to my gas tank everytime I fill up and I noticed that made a huge difference for my cars performance. You can easily find it at your local Walmart. Add 4 oz of it which is good for up to 10 gallons of fuel. Might need more if your gas tank is larger read more

It has cheaper gas by $0.10-$0.20 per gallon than other gas stations but requires a Costco membership, which some people don't realize until they are at the pump. People are very aggressive when a spot opens, which could cause potential accidents (it almost happened to us). Make sure to watch the surround cars as people are waiting tend to daze off.
