I used Cool Moon AC because they showed up the same day, they didn't charge me extra for weekends and they didn't try to over sell me parts and labor that I didn't need.

Based on my latest service visit, I will NEVER use Hill-York again. Main reasons - their techs…read moreovercharge you and their tech manager is rude and confrontational and makes you feel like it is your fault that they overcharged you plus they really don't understand good customer service. In my case I was quoted $360 for a two-hour minimum call plus materials. After the tech was at my apartment for 1.5 hours, I received a charge for $565 which was for an additional hour ($145) and a $60 materials charge for "topping off" the coolant. Then when I called to get it straightened out, Chris - the tech manager was rude and confrontational. Even after I received a call from the VP of Service their response was to (grudgingly) remove the $145 - and they made me feel like they were doing me a favor despite the fact that the tech was only there for 1.5 hours. It really feels like they don't care about their residential customers and only do the service work to offset their corporate business. My unit will need to be replaced in 1-2 years (according to their tech) and I will NOT be calling Hill-York to do that work! Sorry guys, you really should learn how to treat a customer...

A contractor initially told me that this will be a $3000 repair job requiring a hole cut out in the kitchen wall to get into the back innards of the shower. Otherwise, he would have to destroy the shower paneling.   Second opinion time. Enter Paradise Plumbing with their solid technical expertise. The cartridge just needed to be replaced and Joey fixed it quickly within 30 minutes. My shower also had an incompatible shower trim kit in which the fitting was awkwardly forced together. Though they did not have the trim kit part, he pointed me in the right direction to get the missing component overnighted to me. Easy install.   Altogether, this was less than $500 vs. the initial $3000 which was drilling in my head. Cheers to Paradise Plumbing. I only used them once prior but now they have my solid trust.

The tech was professional and friendly. He cleaned up after himself. He charged me the same as his estimate. So why 4 stars? They use an AI agent scheduler. The AI texted me conflicting info the morning of my appointment. It made me think that my appointment would be delayed or canceled. It wasted my time by impersonating a real human who could be reasoned with. I texted it back, arguing with an AI agent about it. It stressed me out when I absolutely did not need that unnecessary aggravation. Turns out the AI hallucinated the delay. The extra stress was completely unnecessary. Get a person to communicate with customers, please. Texting with an AI impersonating a human is undignified at best, insulting at worst. It feels like deception and disdain. This should be 5 stars. They did a 5 star job. Their AI customer service lost them a star.

SoFlow came on time and the installer was the same guy that initially inspected her old unit. Both gentlemen were very nice and they did a great job taking away the old unit and putting the new unit on a new pad and plumbing in the ducting and drain pipe. I was given the choice of three estimates which were way out of my price range and told the guy would need to call somebody else to get another estimate. The estimates were anywhere from the cheapest of $1500. Approx to over $3000. I was totally shocked as my unit is not that old and was told that the motherboard was not sending signals to the compressor to turn on and if they replace the motherboard, it still may not send the signal and then I would have to replace my compressor also. I called another company that was also recommended to me and a technician within 10 minutes found the problem to be a $240 capacitor, which was changed in less than a half an hour and I had air again!! I can't imagine a company trying to rip off somebody buy so much money and completely miss diagnosing, a simple problem and trying and turning it into a huge disaster! Before you hire Supa Air make sure to check elsewhere for prices. Supa Air will rip you off with…read moreunnecessarily high prices, sometimes 3 times higher than their competitors. My AC Coil had a leak and need it to be replaced. Greg from Supa Air came to my house and gave me an estimate to replace my AC Coil. My AC coil is still under warranty and the estimate from Supa Air to replace the Coil was $2,600. I advised Greg at Supa Air that I will be getting other prices since his price seemed to high. I found a competitor that will do the work with the warranty for $700. I when ahead and hired the competitor to do the work and when the competitor proceeded to make the claim with the warranty at Carrier they were advised that Supa Air (Greg) had already placed the claim and had picked up the Coil from them. I never authorized Supa Air (Greg) to place any claims with the Carrier company. Now Greg at Supa Air won't cancel the claim and won't return the Coil back to Carrier. Supa Air now wants me to pay them a fee and pick up the Coil from their warehouse. I will be hiring an attorney and suing Supa Air for their unethical practices. Avoid Supa Air and save yourselves lots headaches.
