Completely missed the appointment. I had to track them down. Finally sent movers 2 hours and 45 minutes late. One of the three movers left halfway through, leaving two. Even though I'd paid for three. Didn't have time to finish the move and left me with a half-full uhaul. Owner refused to answer calls from me and his employees when it was time to go. Next day he told me he'd get someone out to help. Waited all day with no further contact. Called many times with little to no response. He became combative when he finally fessed up that he wasn't sending anyone. One of the movers smelled of marijuana and even left his marijuana package behind. Owner called me a liar when I pointed this out. Pictures prove him wrong. Overall it felt like teenagers with a lawn mowing business. Total rip-off. His own employee didn't seem to think him missing an appointment was abnormal read more

Terrible experience. I wanted to move some couches and a safe from southern NH to Massachusetts. I received a quote that included a line item for truck rental. Red flag number one. They don't have their own truck? But I went ahead with it because I wanted to support a local business. I had to ask for a name and phone. The name came back as "Roy". No last name. Red flag two. Late that evening I received another email with an invoice for full payment. Understand this is the night before the move. If I hadn't just browsed in my mail I never would have seen it. I wrote them back that I was confused. Did they expect full payment before the move? His answer was yes. Red flag three. They never asked for a deposit (which is standard and I was prepared for that), but now wanted full payment before they even showed up. Ridiculous. I replied that this was totally against industry standards. "Roy" Argued with me, telling me he knows lots of people that pay fully upfront of any service. Red flag four. I had other companies lined up that I cancelled when these folks agreed to do the work. It was too late to get them back. This experience reminds me of Ferris Bueller attempting his first company. The old slogan "you get what you pay for" applied here in spades. Stay with professionals. read more

We used Ultacare Movers for a short distance move and we were very impressed with how kind and responsive they were!! Roy showed up ON TIME and assessed how to get us moved in the quickest time possible. Within minutes, Benz and Kevin showed up to move us. They were so nice and careful with our furniture! They made sure the Uhaul was packed efficiently and that made for two trips. I thought it was going to take four trips! You will not be disappointed with Ultracare!! Stay away from this moving company - I have never had such a poor customer service experience. They do not care about their customers and will refuse any responsibility for anything that goes wrong with your move. I hired this company to transport and unload a couple storage units that had previously been loaded and stored by a different moving company. While the moving service was fine the day of my move, a significant portion of my belongings were damaged after unloading them from the storage units. When I expressed this to the manager, he brushed it off and rushed out the door. A few days later I attempted to submit a claim with the umbrella company through which they were hired, only to be informed it needed to be submitted through UltraCare Movers directly. Upon contacting them, I was told simply that any damages must have occurred while the prior moving company was transporting my belongings to storage, which conveniently could not be proven. They refused responsibility for the damages and said they would not be honoring any claims (this is despite paying for insurance). In the interest of giving them the benefit of the doubt I attempted to resubmit the claim with the first moving company, only to be told that the timeline for doing so had passed. I then called UltraCare Movers back and explained that I was only able to submit a claim with them and asked that if they were unwilling to address my claim they at least help resolve the issue with the first moving company by providing a statement of any damages they witnessed upon unloading the units. After quite a lot of convincing and being spoken over, the manager agreed to provide this within a few business days. Over two weeks later I had not heard anything so I called the manager yet again to follow up, only to be told he would in fact not be providing any statement. I patiently explained again that submitting a claim with them was the only option available to me and that I was attempting to be gracious in spending so much of my time trying find a way to take it up with the first company instead. At this point, the manager became shockingly rude and aggressive, saying that assisting in resolving claims was not their job, that they would not be honoring any claims, and that it was too bad if my belongings were damaged. He actually screamed at me for the entirety of our conversation, called me names, insulted me, etc. Not once did he allow me to finish a single sentence in almost a 30 minute long conversation and when I pointed this out to him he again yelled over top of me that it was more important that he speak. I am appalled at how poorly I was spoken to and that any reputable business would think it was acceptable to interact with a paying customer in that way. The conversation ended with him challenging me to go ahead and try to submit a claim and then hanging up. After submitting it, the response I received from UltraCare Movers was that they denied my claim and that I had a couple business days to submit evidence for an appeal. However, the notice came from a no-reply email address with no other contact info or information about how to proceed or where it could be appealed, and therefore expired unaddressed. The two movers themselves provided fine service, but the manager is hands down the rudest person I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to and has no sense of customer service whatsoever. Ultracare movers did such a good job helping me move into my Boston apartment. They figured out what to do even when the doorway was too small, were very quick, and so nice to work with. They got my whole apartment done in 2 hours. They even helped Me arrange the furniture at the end and stayed until they knew I was pleased. This was the only company I found that did not charge for the travel time and that's why I went with them. I would highly recommend them and definitely use them again! read more

They showed up on time. Very courteous and friendly. Two guys had to move an extremely heavy vanity up a very tricky staircase. It took multiple tries, once we removed the stairway railing they were able to get it up. worth every penny and would use them again in a heartbeat read more

Roy and crew were amazing helping me move out of my Boston apartment! I booked them through UHaul and they were definitely the easiest movers I've ever had. Roy called me a few weeks before the move to confirm address and ask just a couple questions, and was also super responsive on the phone or Facebook when I had questions. They didn't require an itemized list of my things and handled heavy furniture with ease. I've been upcharged and ripped off by other movers in the area (raising the price before arrival, taking longer than necessary to increase total, etc.), and this was not the case with Ultracare. They showed up early but didn't begin the two-hour countdown until they had surveyed the apartment and started moving. Everything was packed so securely that not a single thing shifted or fell during an 8.5 hour drive. They were so nice, professional, and speedy. I'm so glad I found them and have nothing but wonderful things to say! read more

we were moving our father to NC but needed help packing the 26 foot truck. The guys were great, courteous and fast. Then we needed help getting rid of the stuff we were not taking and cleaning out the house. here they were also great. they filled another 26 foot truck and disposed of the "junk" accumulated over 50 years. my father never threw anything away. They cleaned walls, floors, bathrooms making the house presentable for a showing by the realtor. i would gladly give them 5 stars. read more
