PERFECT. Guns had special laser to see where your shooting, it shows your rank in the game compared to other players, and shows who you killed/ who killed you! Ultrazone Loudoun We had our son's 10th birthday party here, and I would highly recommend! It was very well organized, and they were super flexible with our numbers changing last minute due to illness, add-ons, etc. We even forgot candles for the cake, and they had extras. The kids were all on the same team and had so much fun playing together against another birthday party. There is an instructional video in a theater room before each round, and the employees help the kids put on the vests and also supervise in the session. They don't hand out the game cards for the arcade, which is included with the package, until after the party time is over, but there are a couple of free games if kids need to stay busy. The staff is extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating. It was perfect and worth the $ for a stress free, engaging party. My son said it was his best birthday yet. read more

This is only the second laser tag venue we have been to, so I'm no connoisseur. It's in a shopping center, and they have drop-in play as well as a steady stream of birthday party attendees. It was 3 games for $20, but if you get on their mailing list or look for discounts on the internet, you can get a 3 for $14. We were 6 drop-in players and had maybe 4 other kids playing in our games. They were very accommodating to kids with special needs who needed headphones or a parent to just help them without having to pay for two participants. It was a very cool course, spacious with plenty of hiding spots, a ramp-up second floor to shoot from above, and two base stations to aim for if you're looking for extra points. Just the right amount of fog and laser stimuli on the course. The vest and gun were all good operationally speaking, and we played with three different vest colors across our three games. You can play as individuals or teams depending on how many people are playing. And you can see your stats on the monitor in the lobby when your game has concluded. In addition to private birthday rooms (I think there were at least 4 that I could count), they had a lobby with some arcade type games, a table, and some limited drinks/ snacks for purchase. A little pricey for dippin dots ($4.50 for a tiny pouch). One thing they could improve upon is to expand the seating for parents and non-players. They have the space for seats or benches, so if the one table is occupied there are other seating options. A fun way to spend a few hours with your laser tag lovin kids! read more

This is my favorite laser tag place in nova been to all of the modern arcade slash bowling alley zones with the bells and whistles, but this is more old school and it's made the right way. The area is huge and fun and never crowded so during these times of uncertainty, nice to have fun without a lot of worry. The prices are great too. read more

I purchased 4 lazer tag packages online for the kids to use while we was in the area. The 1st night we went and a sign was up stating they closed early. I figured because it was Halloween...okay I guess. The next day we called to confirm their closing time and asked what time their last game was. We was told 6:15pm. We arrived at 5:30 and was greeted with the SAME sign as the previous night! Its no telling if we will be able to travel this way within 60days. After 60 days the package expires. Not that good, but not awful. Super nice staff, but lots of broken equipment. Parents are unable to see the names of their kids on the scoreboard as most had no names on the vest. Multiple gun screens were broken and during the middle of the game several kids had to go get new vests. No adult beverages.... no seats for parents to sit down while the laser tag game is ongoing. read more

This is the business that took over from Panther Family Laser Tag. The arena and equipment are pretty much the same. They painted the walls in the lobby with some new super-hero murals and added a couple of video games in the lobby. As far as I can tell, they still do the birthday party events on weekends. We did several with my kids at Panther over the years, and it appears they're continuing that business. At some point, we decided we didn't want the pizza and soda that they served for the birthday parties, so we tried just going on a Saturday with the group of my son's friends for his birthday, but doing the "party" part of the celebration somewhere else. That was a mistake. The birthday parties got priority in the arena, and they worked on squeezing us in here and there. We spent a lot of time sitting around waiting, and it took us like 3 hours to get 3 games in. New strategy: We really like the Friday and Saturday unlimited laser tag in the evenings. For two birthdays now, we've started the celebration at a favorite restaurant somewhere nearby, and then come here for unlimited laser tag afterwards. You need to play 3 games to get your money's worth on the unlimited laser tag price, and both years we've done this, my boys played 5 or 6 games between about 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. and definitely got our money's worth price-per-game wise. My impression is that the business is not investing in maintaining the gear. Multiple vests and blasters weren't working last time we were there. We have been to a couple of similar style laser tag arenas in VA and MA, and other arenas allow you to pick a user name and keep track of your statistics and give you print outs of your game results, etc. It appears the system here has that functionality, but they just don't use it. All of the blasters have a pre-programmed user name, and you just have to remember which user name you were on THAT game and look at your stats on the screen after the game is over, but you can't track your stats over multiple games. The other thing to watch out for are the "ringers." Last year, there was one "kid" (teenager with a scruffy beard) who clearly has way too much time on his hands and plays laser tag all the time and was just massacring all of us. He was kind of annoying. This year, it was one of the game masters (employee who is supposed to be a referee) who has clearly played a lot and is an expert marksman with the gear and was killing all of us all over the arena as a team of one. I guess I would ask next time that the game master just be a referee and not play. read more

Ultrazone is definitely a step-up from Panther Family Fun Center. The actual laser tag arena hasn't changed but the new equipment are better quality and more comfortable. The phaser is more accurate and the vests don't feel like a huge weight on your shoulders. The pre-game video is gone so the employee just recites a ton of rules. My only complaint was that the arena was extremely hot and the lobby didn't have a ton of air conditioning. The arcade also received an upgrade by adding a ticket system. The old Lazer Frenzy room has been turned into a prize area. There isn't anyone designated for the prize area so you just have to go get an employee from the front desk. There isn't a ton of prizes so I wish they added a better variety. The games were good and comparable prices to other arcades but a few were broken. The staff were pretty friendly but when I asked who I should talk to in order to redeem my tickets, the guy said I had to hold on because he had too much going on. I think they were understaffed. It was a good experience but I wish it wasn't so hot in the arena and there was a better selection of prizes. read more

My family had the most wonderful time running a triple play at Ultrazone. The facility is maintained well, clean and modern. The equipment is reasonably lightweight and all in good, working condition. We loved the arena with different vantages and obstacles for exciting strategy, too! But the very best part was the staff. Izzy and Rosa were super considerate, friendly and mindful. They checked on all of the players, helping keep the games running safely and smoothly. Had a Groupon for 3 games.. Arrived Friday evening around 7 pm. It was not too packed. Each game lasts around 15-20 mins.. Staff was helpful and facility was clean. Really enjoyed first time going to laser tagging. Will surely return. read more

I have been taking my daughter here for the last couple of years for the weekend unlimited play. We would always have tons of fun; however, today the staff could not control the players. There was a party of about 10 kids aged 9-11 and they were warned about 20 times not to run, climb, crawl and or swear. Each warning the staff would say "next time you do that you'll be in timeout" They continued to do not follow the rules until midnight. There was another group that was climbing all over the basketball and air hockey table. They were even behind the machines. The staff tonight had no control of the establishment and it was a waste of money today. If I do come here again, I will be sure to check if there are immature Little kids there that would ruin good clean fair experience for me and my family. read more

I had a birthday party for my son today. My first experience was a very rude manager who clearly hated her job. Upon our arrival, she seemed upset for opening the doors at 0940 (The party was at 1000) and made it very clear that they open at 0945 after rudely telling us to just seat. She continued with the rude behavior and later I was told by multiple parents that the manager was being very rude with them when they asked her questions. Terrible customer service, making what was supposed to be a fun birthday party very negative and stressful. It was very clear that the employees under her were stressed citing that they changed management and that they couldn't be flexible with laser tag schedule as they could under the previous management. Beware! Apparently there is a website booking parties for this facility that is fraudulent. I showed up for my child's birthday party that I booked online and received about 20 confirmation and reminder emails only to find there was no party booked and I now must contact my back to dispute party deposit fees. Luckily, they were able to accommodate our party. I thought I was very fortunate until I experienced the service. The party host was attentive and difficult to find. They entire process was super disorganized. I have never seen so many people jammed into an arena at a time. It made game play extremely unenjoyable. If you are thinking of laser tag I would recommend one of the many other local places. I will not be returning. read more
