Pearl Rice Juice. $6.50 + tax. Juice fermented by fruits (fig, mangosteen & papaya), rice & yam. Unique/pretty tasty.

This is the second location of this bubble tea place which is associated with their sister spot Uluh/Little Uluh with the other one being on 14th Street. I'm unsure if they're still open as I've not been back to Industry City in a while but I presume they are as they're not listed as closed on Google and I would be surprised if they closed as they I believe had just opened when I went. For directions, this is in the same place as I believe Baolala with the drinks in front as part of Industry City Courtyard 3/4 which is past the exit from Japan Village. The drink menu is unique and a bit expensive especially as far as bubble teas. I went with the Pearl Rice Juice which is listed as "fermented by fruits (fig, mangosteen & papaya), rice & yam" which was $6.50 plus tax. There were other people before me and after me who got through drinks a bit earlier but I guess mine was a bit unique so it took longer. The online ordering system allows you to pick between fig, mangosteen, and papaya it seems, but judging by the flavor, I'm pretty sure they gave me mangosteen which I was happy about or it was a mix. It's hard to describe the flavor outside of perhaps reminding me of some fermented rice soups/Jiu Niang found in some Chinese places for dessert. By comparison, it was less alcoholic tasting of course with some more fruitiness. I'm not sure if I would ever get it again but at least it was different. Would possibly go back even with the egregious prices.

Overpriced mid drinks. Deceptive product images. Spend your money elsewhere. Service was good.

Keep in mind I didn't try anything but their cold brew, and it was one of the smoothest coffees…read moreI've ever had. Their cold brew has dark and rich notes of chocolate and almond, which couldn't be more fitting for a pastry and bake shop. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I try and make a point to grab a cup here. And while I've only been here a couple of times, the staff has been polite, and the coffee has been consistent - the latter being an issue for many shops. Baked doesn't try to be too cool or anything other than what it is. It's an unpretentious bake shop that offers a perfectly chilled cold brew that deserves to be savored with each sip and doesn't break the bank. It's worth making the trip even and I'll be doing so, even if I'm not exactly in the neighborhood.

I would never have guessed that the cake was caramel soaked because it wasn't awfully sweet. Similarly, I had no clue the ganache was also caramel chocolate. Overall, it was a phenomenal slice which made me look up the bakery. Based on their website, they specialize in cakes and brownies. They have about 30 different cake options ranging from citrus passionfruit cake to caramel apple cake. Too bad there are more horrific bad service reviews than I would like to trust to order a cake from here for a big day. But hasn't scared me off from coming in person to try a few of these slices.

How cool is this place?? A beautiful minimalistic sake tasting that you can't find anywhere else. I…read morelove that they offer something different and that they brew the sake right there. Since it was my husband's and I first time we decided to get two different tastings. The Classic Trio y Shiboritate Trio. This last tasting is more unique but all the flavors were great and different to what we've tried in the past. Very smooth and delicious. Definitely recommend checking it out!

I got the Classic Trio Flight ($18), which they serve Number Fourteen, Blue Door, and Occidental. I was very impressed with all of them, regardless of how they were made. I don't think I've ever had sake this smooth in my life before. I also got to try two other drinks. The Weekend Lover ($17) consists of ube (which gives it that distinct purple color), coconut, sake kasu pina colada, msg, sweet potato shochu, Oaxaca rum, lime, and a mango leaf that they light one fire for aesthetics. This drink I enjoyed. I also tried the Kakariko Highball ($16) which is made with buckwheat shochu, japanese bourbon, sherry, soda, lemon oil. I wasn't too fond of this drink unfortunately. If you didn't know, they also serve food and they're fantastic. Don't sleep on the food! I got an order of the Kura Hot Wings ($18), which they do give you a bowl of water to wash your fingers with. There a dressing that comes on the side, not sure what it is, but do dip as it tastes great! I didn't think I'd like the Okinawa Sweet Potato Gnocchi ($14), but these tasted great. It comes with housemate pesto, which I liked as a dipping sauce. The Chicken Fried Oyster Mushroom ($15) is a great alternative if you're vegan. This comes with a russian dressing which goes perfectly well with the oyster mushrooms.
