Katsu dinner and spicy tuna maki roll
Marc C.

I've only had the chance to enjoy takeout here, but this cute one-room sushi bar is quickly becoming one of my favorite sushi places in Akron. They have a number of daily specials, and this past visit I was able to enjoy the Thursday Katsu dinner special which includes seaweed salad, rice, a California roll, tuna sashimi, and a quart of miso soup. For $10.50, this deal really can't be beat. I'm not a huge fan of California rolls, but theirs was quite tasty. The tuna sashimi was delicious as well as all the other accompaniments! I added a spicy maki roll (I've also tried the spicy octopus) to round out the meal. It's somewhat of a small operation so definitely allow for some time when ordering takeout!

Food was great the atmosphere was fantastic the waitress was great and the food was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

This is a hidden gem. It is tucked in the back of a shopping center in the Valley (Cuyahoga Falls). Started with the Miso Soup which was extremely tasty. Next was the Saturday night special - small sashimi combo, and last we tried the Nico and Summertime Roll. Great find. I will return!

Went here the other day to grab some sushi with two of my sisters and friend. Was disappointed when I walked in and no one was there to greet us or said anything to us when we walked in. After about 5 minutes, someone came by and told us we can choose our seat. We chose to sit outside but literally got forgotten about. We waited 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. We ended up moving back inside because we literally were forgotten about. Mind you, this is a very small restaurant so it's not like they were packed or dealing with so many customers. Finally got our food and it just wasn't good. I much rather have eaten a bowl of cereal at home, tbh.

Sushi Katsu, is one of the best of the best in Sushi. This restaurant makes you feel like you're sitting in Tokyo not Akron, Ohio.

Small restaurant. Good ambiance. Sushi is excellent. Beer is cold. Prices are comparable. Strong 8 out of 10.

More of a 3.5 rating rounded down to a 3 because of ambiance and experience as a whole…read more We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was BUSY. The storefront is surprisingly small and the inside is pretty cramped. We ordered a lot of things but just to get a server to give us menus and bring us waters took almost 10 minutes. Service was quite slow and getting our check took the longest. However, waiting for the actual food to come turned out to be not quite as bad. We got a bento box dinner, roll, separate salad (my BF couldn't help ordering this as an extra even though it's supposed to come with most entrees) and a fried collarbone of a tuna (forgot this term). Prices were slightly higher than other places like this but it did have this gigantic menu that was fun to browse. Taste and presentation of dishes were fine. Nothing really stood out. It wasn't really a place I was excited to go to again, especially not on a weekend. Early on while we were waiting for our food, the hostess gave my 8 yr old daughter a bill for another table with their debit card inside. We alerted the server after 5 minutes but that was not cool!

She advised us on which rolls were extra spicy and to get the oil on the side which was a great save since my friend felt that had she not removed it, the roll would have been too spicy for her to eat. I ordered the katsu curry with pork and the portion was huge. I had enough to take home for a second meal and the taste was very similar to what I had when I visited Japan. I was happy to find this dish and will come back to order again.

Grabbed takeout with my sister while we were staying in town at an Airbnb. Needed a work dinner…read morethat would sit well. Ichiban Sushi delivered just that. She got a roll and I got two (salmon and sunset). Both were good! I wouldn't order the sunset roll again as the black pepper tuna was a little spicy for me, but the quality of everything was great. The salmon quality was awesome-- much better than usual smoked salmon. The fish was in big chunks and had a buttery texture. My only complaint is that the menu description was wrong and it said the salmon roll came with cream cheese (I know that's usually a Philadelphia roll, but that one had no description and the salmon roll said cream cheese, so i went with it.) Their spicy mayo was great! Prices were "normal" for sushi. Food was ready quickly.

They seemed a little short staffed considering their small dining area was full and had a steady flow of dine-in guests as well as a very busy takeout flow. Service wasn't very attentive. It was a cold/snowy evening and because of the constant stream of takeout orders the temperature inside the small space was either very hot or very cold. The food was good, though! We had the spicy kani salad, edamame, and four rolls. All were fresh and tasted good. This seems like a solid spot for takeout but not a place I make the trip to dine-in for.

Mediocre food, great affordable prices for Cuyhoga Falls…read more No frills restaurant experience. Basic seating inside and bathroom is clean. Ramen is very average and same with fried chicken. Broth was not rich in flavor unlike other ramen places. Char siu too fatty for me. Fried chicken was also very greasy unlike tonkotsu should be. The customer service was amazing as well and they were very helpful and they were extremely quick I ate there and I think I waited maybe 5 minutes for my Ramen. The price of the food is also amazing for my Ramen and diet pepsi it came out to under 15.00. And you get alot of food. The ambiance of the store was decent I think they took over where Jimmy johns used to be at because they are located in between play it again sports and Panera Bread. I did enjoy all of the decor though. Overall this place is amazing and I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back.

I liked how much food you got and how you had a few options to choose from. Food: * pineapple passion mojito - 5/5 absolutely DELICIOUS. It was a perfect drink to have with dinner. It was light and refreshing with just enough sweetness. * chicken and pork bao - 4/5 super yummy! I actually liked the pork more than the chicken. It was almost like a buttery taste. It was soft and the meat just fell apart. The chicken was good too but was more on the tough side, probably because it was fried. * spicy beef ramen - 5/5 I will absolutely be back to get this again. Just the right level of spice. All the ingredients were fresh, well made, and delicious. It's the type of food that you can't help eating more of even though you're beyond full. * crispy chicken ramen - 3.5/5 This was still a good choice! I loved the chicken in it. I think this is a very safe choice for anyone who might be on the more picky side. The broth was good but not spicy. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place! When getting carried out they packed the ingredients separately from the broth which I loved. We got the spicy on the side and I was so glad we did because in my opinion it packed heat. The spicy is like chili crunch oil . Prices were average , I believe probably on par with other ramen spots . My husband teriyaki tom broth has a delicate thickness to it. We both said both broths felt rushed. They weren't really savory and tasted bland, and underdeveloped. It has a good beginning/starting flavor but should have shimmered longer. Not the best ramen or worst ramen. Simply in the middle. We ordered carry out so I can't speak to the service or overall atmosphere. The restaurant was clean inside and front cashiers were nice! We also ordered the creme brûlée Thai tea it was delicious!!!
