Of course it had to be during the summer when it is crazy hot here, so everyone in the neighborhood was booking services. One company I had come out quoted me well over five grand to install a new AC unit. I wasn't having that and started talking to our new neighbors. One of them just had their AC unit replaced last year and recommended Apple Lake. I gave them a call and found out that they could get me the same unit (just a different brand) for half as much. And no, this wasn't some cheap brand, this is Carrier. The company was founded by the guy who invented AC... Installation was a breeze (no pun intended!) and it was great working with the staff. They went above and beyond customer service to make sure we were taken care of. Finally, we have cool air back in our house and couldn't be happier with our experience.

We decided to replace our 25 year old furnace with a Carrier product. There were no gimmicks or talks from them about purchasing products we didn't need, just a first rate efficient furnace. We got a great price and fast installation on what was a very cold day this past November. Highly recommend Apple Lake to anyone replacing their heating and air conditioning systems.

Basically, she "looked into it" and there is nothing that she can do. No refund, no nothing. She tells me- I need to work with Maytag- which I have and work with Warner's Stellian repair department- which I have. She apologized for the frustrating situation. Frustrating? Yeah, I would say more than frustrating. This is the WORST experience buying appliances/customer experience. They do not care. They have my thousands of dollars for the appliances and have washed their hands of it. I wish I would've read the yelp reviews before buying from them. We bought 3 major appliances from here years ago and had no issues. Warner's has gone downhill. I think the intent of the replies on yelp from the business owner, is to make it look like they care and are going to help, but they don't. I had to give 1 star in order to post the review. Otherwise, it would be zero or below the bar.

Called repair and someone can't come out to look at it until next week Monday. Asked for a replacement as I'm not comfortable with an appliance that never worked to begin with....they said they didn't know if they can do that. Looking at other reviews, defective products seem to be a pattern of this store. Too bad because customer service was excellent before. Will keep you posted if anything gets done about this.

Furnace: Jan 28th -2nd day of -20 and my furnace wasn't working. I really felt the pressure of burst h2o pipes. I wish I would have called for 2nd opinion. I won't say how much he charged me to replace my furnace, but it turned out that it was ~$3500 more than it should have been. If it even needed to be done in the first place. A/C: April 24th, he came back to give a complimentary A/C clean and mtnc. Gave me a bunch of lies of I should refill the freone levels and I have a leak in the line that he can patch for $2300. I called a reputable HVAC company and they said that was a complete line. That gas was pulled from market 6 yrs ago, and would NEVER be an option. My A/C was fine.

I am writing this review to warn other families based on our direct experience…read more My parents were charged $9,500 for a new furnace they did not need. After the installation, multiple independent contractors confirmed the original furnace was still functional and did not require full replacement. Comparable bids for similar work were thousands of dollars less. When we requested a clear, itemized invoice explaining the cost breakdown, the company refused to provide one. Communication became evasive, and basic documentation that reputable contractors routinely provide was withheld. After researching further, we discovered numerous similar complaints describing the same pattern: urgent claims, high-pressure sales tactics, inflated pricing, and a lack of transparency after payment. This experience caused significant financial and emotional stress to my parents. In my opinion, homeowners should proceed with extreme caution, get multiple independent inspections, and insist on written documentation before agreeing to any work with this company. If this review prevents even one family from going through what ours did, it is worth writing.

We looked around and read many reviews. We decided to contact Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. They did not answer the phone right away but I received a call very quickly. I explained the situation and how we have some allergies, and they took the time to listen and go over all the details. They then recommended Steve who is the go-to guy when it comes to allergies as well as other things related. We set up an appointment with Steve, and Steve arrived early. He set up his equipment and was very mindful about making a mess as well as getting things dirty and wet. He took his time to explain as well as show me what was going on and answer all my questions. Because of allergies Steve took his time and made sure each vent was cleaned as best as possible. The things I saw in the ductwork were scary, which had built up over the years of this property. After he was done, we swapped the air filter and within 20 minutes of running, I could smell the difference in the air. The air felt lighter and did not have a heavy feel. Also, my air purifiers were not reading off the charts anymore. Steve did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him as well as Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. I ended up getting their Ultimate cleaning or whatever the highest one was, and compared to other places, it was cheap. The price you pay for what you get is a bargain. It ended up being $541.00 with tax and worth every penny.

My claim was declined. The insurance company required unrealistic things like a photo of the space prior to incident showing the hose in place. Who takes pictures of their furnace? This resulted in a costly last-minute repair to my ceiling. Essentially this means that you are at the mercy of a potential crappy insurance policy carried by the contractor and that the owner takes no personal responsibility for potential damage.
