Well it seems my mid 30s have arrived, and I find myself actually being concerned for my well-being as well as my wife's. When you're younger, you really don't think too much of it, especially since you feel invincible. But the older I get, the more...for the lack of a better word...old I feel. I now feel that health supplements are beneficial to me. So I never was into or paid any attention to health supplements until I did for my parents. As they retire and age, I noticed all kinds of health problems started to surface. Much of the problems r from years of unhealthy diet (high sugar contents, high cholesterol diets and processed food...etc) and lack of regular exercise from working in an office environment. Through my research, I found out that preventative care is much better and cheaper than treating an illness after the fact, so I started to look into natural food and supplementing the necessary nutrients. One thing I found, which really made a lot of sense to me, was the importance of enzymes in our body. U can do a bit of reading online, there r a ton of info about It. So apparently, we lose them as we age, but it's a critical part of not just our digestive system, but our whole body. That's when I found out abt this brand. I did more research into the different brands of enzymes and learned that not all enzymes products r made equal, just like pretty much any product on the market. From ingredients, to the process of manufacture, I have to say I was really impressed by Umeken. Their philosophy and belief r reflected in how they make their products. I mean I've always known Japanese are methodical and stringent in their manufacture, which extends from their culture, but this brand is pretty much taking that even a step further! I found out that they have their own organic farms in Japan so they can grow their own ingredients and take full control of the quality. And to ferment their enzymes, they use this super soft ground water in the Amazon forest near their sourcing plantation to get the best result? What? I don't think I know another manufacture that go thru that kind of trouble to deliver their products, it's no wonder their stuff is so pricey! But at least I can be sure of its quality, and geniune effectiveness. I'd rather spend a little more to get the best stuff out there, than wasting half of as much on the useless ones or worse, the ones that actually do harm to ur body. I don't usually take any health supplement and never thought about it either. But since my parents were aging, I thought some good supplement wouldn't hurt either. So I researched and seemed Umeken is famous amongst Korean community so I decided to try out. I started with something small, a small vitamin C, or C-Balance as the name goes. Cheap bottle provided my parents good amount of vitamin c and my dad was sure that it had good effect on him. Well, I wasn't that convinced but my mother researched on her own and told me I should get her a dietary supplement to help her lose weight while eating. Wasn't convinced but I looked up Umeken's website and bought product called Slim Night. It's supposedly make your metabolism active at night so your body burn energy while sleeping. Not sure if this worked as intended, but my mom now claims her morning stuffiness on her stomach is gone and she feels lighter. We tried lot of over the top medicines and other supplements on her indigestion issue before and it wasn't great so this sure convinced me alright. We bought products through the phone with the sales lady and picked up at this HQ location. This is a very clean company, everything looked so well organized and managed. The lady who talked to me was really nice. I came here just for picking up products but she invited me to their products display room and got me a cup of warm tea. What a great service! In addition, I think their products are the best supplements, or I have to say they are UNIQUE. All of them are made in Japan, imported to the US by undergoing FDA and USDA's inspection. Believe it or not, they have been running this business for more than 70 years in Japan and 20 years in the US! I love their supplements ball making technology. I'm speaking on behalf of my mom who can not speak English. My mom is a huge enthusiast for health products. She bought sets of pots and pans and her encounters with customer service were just awful. The first time she ordered a set of pots as a gift, the products were damaged when it arrived. Now the pots aren't cheap- each pot is around $300. When we asked to exchange for a new one, they refused. They only allowed for a repair, which we weren't pleased with since it was supposed to be a gift. When my mom bought a $200 small pot for me, within the year the handle broke off. This is fine, especially since they advertised for LIFE TIME WARRANTY. However, they did not agree to this promise. We asked the sales lady to help us repair our pot, especially since it's a small repair job (one handle broke off one one end but seemed like a small soldering or super glue can do the job) but she told us this repair is impossible. We were nonplussed at this BS. The handle needed a simple glue repair on one end only. When we explained to her, she said oh, then this repair will take 6 months to get it done. Another BS reply. Who would be willing to be spend 6 months waiting for a cookware we use daily?? We assumed because we weren't buying from her she was not willing to help us. My mom spent over $5000 on umeken's products before but their customer service is just as atrocious. We will never buy their products ever again. read more

This company has no integrity. In Nov 2017, I asked them how to apply my bonus reward, followed the instructions I was given by their customer service; however, it didn't work for some reason. I checked the invoice right after placing my order, then notified customer service immediately and asked them to either 1. apply the bonus reward for me & issue a credit for that amount to my credit card or 2. cancel the order. I got an acknowledgement from Tina within 1-2 hours. 1h 24 minutes after her acknowledgement, I got a shipping confirmation in my email, but my bonus reward never got applied and I never got a credit for the amount of my bonus reward, which expired at the end of 2017. I also spoke with her after the fact, and they are not able to issue a $12 credit. How difficult is it, really? She just said to order other stuff in order to use my bonus reward. No thanks, I'm not going to spend more money, not worth it. read more
