I checked yelp, TYVM, I found tan sanh, I read some bad review but did not believe it. Huong is the name of the lady boss I think, she was very friendly and boy was I elated a bottle of 100 American Ginseng capsules from Wisconsin was only $20, she was very professional so I was sure the Ginseng was authentic, pure not contaminated. I bought a few Plum candies, she had a carousel of all kinds of samples, I ate a whole bunch!, no question asked unlike VUA KHO BO chains, they were very aggressive in your face scamming you. I saw sausages 100% pork, I don't like what's sold in supermarkets, 90% mixed w chicken, I have not cooked any yet but they looked amazing and so cheap only $9 for a whole pound. This was my second time here at Tan Sanh Ginseng located in Westminster, CA. I was looking for a special Elixir for my uncle's friend. When I walked in, the female owner and the other female associate were very friendly and inviting, asking me how they could help me. I told them that I was looking for a special Elixir for older men and the owner had her son translate our conversation. Both of the female associate and the son were very accommodating in helping me look for it. They found the Elixir, but the price increased by $40 thanks to you know who. I can never give her (the owner = Chi Cam Huong) lower than the best/top stars. Chi Cam Huong is always so wonderful to me and my family. The negative review part is for her older sister and staff. They, supposedly, never remember the prices that Chi Cam Huong gives for me and my family. They are there when we are given set prices; but, somehow, they forget about those prices or stay quiet. I just had a recent encounter with the older sister and staff, while one of my family members waited in the car for me (on a hot day). They gave me the higher price. I told them that Chi Cam Huong only charges me so and so price. They keep on saying no and that's the past price. I kept firm and told the older sister that I'll vine back when Chi Cam Huong is at the store. The older sister told me to wait and she would call right now. She picked up the phone to, supposedly, start dialing (but never did). She went to help a different customer, while making me wait. I told her that I'll come back when Chi Cam Huong is at the store. She told me to wait for her to help this customer and she will call. Then in the middle of helping that customer, sure told her that she needs to call her sister for me. Then she stopped herself from dialing and told me the higher price is firm and if I wanted it or not. I said no and that I'm waiting for her to call Chi Cam Huong (as she said she would). She told me that she's not going to call Chi Cam Huong and the higher price is firm and if i wanted it or not. I said no and I'll come back when Chi Cam Huong is at the store. I left. When I got to my car, my family member (that I left in the car) was tired and almost fainted from low blood sugar. At this point, I'm past upset and was livid. I came home and called the store. Chi Cam Huong called me back and confirmed the set price with me. I went to the store and Chi Cam Huong wasn't there. It was her older sister and the same staff. I waited for help and got it. I told them about my call and set price with Chi Cam Huong. The older sister took over and called Chi Cam Huong (which I didn't want the older sister's help anymore). The older sister and staff were still firm on the higher price. They confirmed the set price (that I was adamant in staying with). The older sister said let me look at her (my) face and memorize it for the future to give me the correct pricing. This ticked me off. And the older sister made the mistake by testing my integrity, didn't really care about my family's member's wellbeing (after placing them in jeopardy), and said that she told me to wait for her to call Chi Cam Huong and I didn't. I exploded on her and yelled and screamed at her for being unprofessional and hypocritical and for called her out on defaming my integrity (with witnesses around). I told him straight out that I was calm until their actions caused my family member from almost passing out on the car, while they made me wait for no results. read more

Asian herbs and supplements! They have been here a long time! Our grandma was unfortunately got in a mild accident and we were on a mission to look for something to help with a speedy recovery. I personally do not believe in these products, since Western medicine has been advancing so much nowadays. Bad customer service. I bought 5 items total which included bird nest and other items. I didn't have cash on me so I asked them to charge my credit card. They said they ll charge credit card on 4 items which was about 400 dollars but the Logan I would have to pay cash which was 16 dollars. It made no sense but I didn't want to argue with her. It was my first time there so I asked several questions about pricing and different types of bird nest (like 3 questions) but she seemed irritated for some reasons. It wasn't busy at all. There were only two customers in the store. A lady name Huong was helping the other customer (she seemed to be nicer) and another lady was helping me (forgot her name). I didn't spend a long time in the store either. I was in and out in 10-15 mins. She made it difficult that I had to go to my car (I had a toddler and a newborn in the car with husband) to get 16 dollars for the Logan. So inconvenient!! I really like the bag of herbs that they prepackaged for the herbal chicken soup. I usually use 1 gallon of water with the 1 packet of herbs. The great thing is it's not crazy strong. You might think 360 bucks for a smile is a lot to pay.... But a smile from my grandma is worth a thousand times more than that. She has been a bit loopy as of late because of her age and dementia. One thing that makes her happy is birds nest. Of all the things she has to choose, and its bloody expensive. If she had it her way she'd eat bird's nest soup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, since the budget isn't built for that, every now and again its worth it to make her happy. When you get that age, you should be able to have whatever you want. A society should be judged not by how we treat the young and the rich, but rather how we treat the elderly and downtrodden. I'm gonna stop before I go on a PSA tirade about the elderly and homeless. This place sells a lot of asiany medicinal things, most of them are probably bull** but what can you do. Well, its not like I would know if they missed an herb and substitute it with something else. I heard this place used to be really good and very crowded. It's all changed now. I came here for tea to help with my infertility. I was trying to get pregnant for two years and unsuccessful with fertility treatment with my primary physician. I was about to do IVF when my friend told me about this place. I saw the doctor there and I told him my back story. He then told me to drink the tea for 7-10 days at the end of my menstrual cycle..... and I will be pregnant in 3-4 months. I was pregnant at 4 months! I came here to look for a certain herb for my mother, the lady named Huong said they had something better for a cure all. Before I could even ask her about this herb, she told me birds nest is what she needed. How strange of her to offer me something before I even asked. Is this lady psychic or just a psycho money grabber? My mom asked me to buy jujube fruit for tea. This bag of jujube fruit is only $10, she told me she recommends a box of birds nest for $500. This lady is trying to upsell me like crazy. While I kept saying no and I only needed to buy the fruit, she mumbles under her breath that I was cheap, not a good son and walks away. My Name is Lee Con, i am 55 yrs old and working in medical field. I just want to share my story that I got a perplexed skin condition. I woke up with hives that cover entire my body. Typically it is the type of allergic reaction to food, there are dozen of hives cover the face, eyes , neck, trunk, leg, arms and even the palms. They disappear at the end of the day. They change form from round to various shapes before they disappeared and recurrent again next day and been like that every single day for months. I have researched everywhere i can in this world. I saw a Chinese doctor who take a glimse on my skin and prescribed the whole bunch of all kind of herbal root, dried leaves and even a dozen Cicada. I followed the instructiom anyway, cooking the medication with 5 bowl of water and simmimg it down to one bowl of water ( condensing) and i am telling you the taste is not fun at all, it is bitter like hell. After 3 days i noticed the hives are getting less. I still dont believe it because it was like that before, it will return again. For the second round i can see the size of the hives are much smaller and no hives on my face, still it was itchy and hard to sleep at night, so i tried the 3rd round, amazingly i am now confidently to say ALL the hives are gone. I dont know what to say except that my family and I are much more grateful to the Doctor and staff on Tan Sanh Yen.
